Chapter 32 - CHAPTER 32: First Day at VogueLuxe

The towering glass building gleamed in the evening light, a statement of ambition and style that mirrored the energy inside. Yerin stood at the entrance, adjusting her bag and taking a deep breath. Today was her first day at VogueLuxe, one of the most renowned fashion companies in the city. And her P.A. role was… thrilling, terrifying, and exhilarating all at once.

She stepped inside, her heels clicking lightly on the polished floor. The reception area was buzzing with assistants, designers, and staff moving with precision and purpose. Yerin felt slightly overwhelmed but reminded herself of why she was here: opportunity, growth, and the chance to learn from one of the best — Kim So Hee, the company's 27-year-old CEO.

"So, this is Yerin," a voice called. It was So Hee, effortlessly confident in a tailored suit, her presence commanding yet warm. She approached Yerin with a professional smile that softened when she looked at her.

"Welcome to VogueLuxe," So Hee said, extending a hand. "You'll be working as my P.A. and also helping out with fashion projects. I've heard great things about your work. You're talented, and I want you to feel comfortable contributing your ideas."

Yerin shook her hand, smiling nervously. "Thank you, Ms. So Hee. I… I won't let you down."

"You can call me So Hee," she said with a wink. "And I don't expect perfection — just honesty, dedication, and creativity. Let's show them what we've got."

So Hee led Yerin through the bustling office, introducing her to staff members along the way. There was Seo Minah, the creative lead; Park Hyeji, in charge of fashion coordination; Kim Eunji, the cheerful assistant; and others who greeted Yerin warmly, welcoming her into the team.

"This is our new P.A. and fashionista in residence," So Hee announced as they stopped near a conference room. "She's here to learn, to grow, and maybe to steal some of my style secrets."

The team laughed, and Yerin felt the tension ease slightly. She could already sense the dynamic: professional, focused, but with humor and camaraderie woven through.

After settling in, So Hee invited Yerin to a small dinner party with the team to celebrate her joining and to discuss upcoming projects. The room was intimate yet lively, filled with the chatter of designers, assistants, and interns. Plates of artfully prepared food were laid out, wine glasses clinked, and laughter floated across the table.

"So, Yerin," one of the staff said, smiling warmly, "what inspired you to pursue fashion and makeup? We've heard you're talented!"

Yerin smiled, her nerves melting into excitement. "I've always loved experimenting with style, seeing how fashion can express who someone is. I studied fashion in college, and I freelanced for a while, but working here… it's a dream come true."

"Good answer!" So Hee said approvingly. "And don't hold back your ideas. We value fresh perspectives here. Everyone brings something unique, and I expect you to contribute — don't be shy."

As the evening continued, Yerin found herself relaxing, enjoying the warmth of the team. Discussions ranged from upcoming fashion campaigns to creative brainstorming about runway concepts, with So Hee occasionally guiding the conversation but also giving Yerin space to share her opinions.

At one point, So Hee leaned slightly toward Yerin and whispered with a teasing smile, "See? Not so intimidating, right? You're going to fit right in here."

Yerin laughed softly, feeling a surge of gratitude. "I hope so. I really want to do my best."

By the end of the dinner, the atmosphere was vibrant yet comfortable. Yerin realized that this wasn't just a workplace — it was a community, a space where creativity and ambition blended seamlessly, and where she could learn and grow.

So Hee raised her glass, catching Yerin's eye. "To Yerin, our newest P.A. and fashionista. May this be the start of something amazing for all of us."

The team echoed the toast, and Yerin felt a warmth spread through her chest. This was the beginning of a new chapter — professional, exciting, and full of possibility. And as she sipped her wine, she glanced at So Hee, catching the subtle pride in her gaze.

Yerin realized that while the dating show had opened doors in her personal life, this was her first step into building herself professionally, with opportunities and experiences she had only dreamed about. She was ready for it, ready to prove herself, and ready to grow — one stylish, inspired step at a time.
