Lyra's POV
The trauma session came to an abrupt halt, and suddenly I found myself standing outside the elder circle building.
I remained motionless for several moments, absorbing everything that had just transpired. I had come so incredibly close to breaking through. So damn close to finally getting the truth out there.
When I glanced back at the imposing structure of the circle building, a sentinel materialized in front of me. He extended his hand with clinical efficiency, maintaining the most professional and emotionally distant demeanor possible.
I retrieved the phone from my pocket once more. The device still retained warmth from where I had been clutching it. After unlocking the screen, I found my way back to the audio recording. My thumb trembled slightly as it hovered over the share option before I finally pressed it.
"The file will be uploaded directly to the council's encrypted server," the sentinel informed me.
