Chapter 6 – First Awakening

English Version

Wind screamed.

Not outside—

but inside his head.

Vinh dropped to one knee, his hand pressing against the ground.

The pressure hadn't disappeared.

It had changed.

"…Still here?"

The presence in front of him twisted.

It wasn't just wind.

It moved.

It reacted.

A form—

unstable.

The moment it surged forward—

Vinh moved.

He stepped aside—

barely avoiding the invisible strike.

The ground behind him split open.

"…Fast."

His breathing steadied.

The air around him shifted.

Subtle—

but real.

Vinh narrowed his eyes.

"…I can feel it."

Another attack.

This time—

he didn't dodge.

He raised his hand.

The air spiraled.

A weak rotation—

unstable—

but enough.

The force collided—

and broke apart.

Silence.

Vinh looked at his hand.

"…Wind…"

Not control.

But influence.

That was enough.

He stepped forward.

The air followed.

A small vortex formed.

Unstable—

but growing.

The entity lunged—

Vinh twisted his body—

and released it.

The vortex struck.

The form shattered.

Not gone—

but weakened.

Vinh didn't stop.

Another motion—

The air compressed—

then burst.

The entity collapsed.

Gone.

Silence.

Vinh exhaled.

"…So that's how it works."

A faint current still moved around him.

Small.

But real.

Then—

light appeared.

A system.

[Offer Detected]

Vinh stared at it.

Become a Displayer?

No explanation.

No condition.

"…A choice?"

Before he could respond—

reality broke.

The space fractured.

His body froze—

then vanished.

He opened his eyes again.

Cold.

Not alone.

Several people stood nearby.

Confused.

Panicking.

"…Where are we?!"

The space shifted.

Not a room.

A structure.

"…A ship."

Not human.

Figures appeared.

Tall.

Distorted—

but controlled.

Before their eyes—

light.

A system.

"…They have it too."

The floor moved.

Weapons appeared.

Floating.

Blades.

Unknown forms.

The others hesitated—

then grabbed them.

Fear took over.

They were forced forward.

One by one.

They fought.

They fell.

No explanation.

No mercy.

Vinh watched.

Every movement.

Every mistake.

Then—

his turn.

Silence.

The weapons hovered.

Vinh stepped forward.

His eyes scanned.

Then—

he chose.

A short sword.

Simple.

Balanced.

"…This is enough."

The platform shifted.

An opponent appeared.

Fast.

Too fast.

Vinh barely blocked.

The impact pushed him back.

Another strike—

He dodged—

not cleanly.

A shallow cut.

"…Damn."

He tightened his grip.

The fight dragged.

Closer.

Faster.

More dangerous.

Near the end—

his body moved.

Without thought.

The air shifted.

A small vortex formed.

Weak—

but sudden.

The opponent lost balance.

Just for a moment.

That was enough.

Vinh stepped in.

The blade moved.

Clean.

Direct.

The opponent fell—

onto the sword.

Silence.

The system appeared.

[Target Eliminated]

Species: Unknown

Vinh stared.

His grip tightened slightly.

"…Unknown?"

His gaze lowered—

to the body.

For a moment—

something felt wrong.

"…Why does it look like something…"

He stopped.

Not because he couldn't continue—

but because the thought itself

felt off.

Too familiar.

Too close.

"…No."

He turned away.

"…Just a coincidence."

But the feeling—

remained.

The entire ship—

fell silent.

Then—

applause.

Slow.

Controlled.

Not emotion—

but acknowledgment.

Vinh stood still.

Breathing heavy.

"…So this is what they want."

And above him—

they were still watching. That was the moment Vinh realized—

That was the moment Vinh realized—

this wasn't survival… it was selection
