2 suited individuals were walking through Daikanyama, a trendy neighborhood of Tokyo, with tired faces.
"I'm seriously too tired for today. I can't do any more work, Ikari-san."
Yuko was tired too but started to pretend to not be after hearing that from her kohai. As his senpai, she wanted to be someone he could look up to.
"Come on, Takahashi-kun. You can't get tired after such little work. You should always be full of energy while on the job, you know?"
Rento became motivated looking at his senpai trying her hardest. "You're right, senpai! LET'S DO OUR JO-"
brrring! brrring!
"My phone's ringing, another one probably showed up. Seems like you got your wish, Takahashi-kun.", Yuko said while smiling.
Back in Chinami's house, Takeru was still munching on his grandma's head. Again and again and again and again until he finally swallowed. After finishing the meal, the light slowly returned to Takeru's eyes.
"Huh? What happened? Feels like I went unconscious for a-"
"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Takeru screamed in horror as he saw the decapitated head of his grandmother lifeless on the ground.
"No! No! NO! What the fuck happened!? Did I do thi- NO! It can't be! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW! No... Wait... calm down... Try to figure this out... Some serial killer or something probably ambushed me from the back, hit me in the head and did this to my grandma... Yeah... That's probably what happened... AHHHHHHHH! THAT'S STILL FUCKING HORRIBLE!"
As all these thoughts started running through Takeru's head, he began stumbling around the house out of control knocking things over left and right.
"Wait... If someone sees me here, what'll they think of me? No one else comes here except me! They'll think I did this shit! I gotta get out of here, quick!"
Takeru began running as fast as he could. A few years back in 9th grade, he took part in a running competition during the annual sports festival to impress his crush. He trained for weeks for that day and he performed pretty well. The feeling he had in that race was unbelievable. He even saw his crush, Aiko, smiling at him which was a huge win in his books. At that moment, he felt as if that was the fastest he would ever run for the rest of his life... But, the speed he possessed in that moment was completely outclassed by the speed with which he was running back to his house after the incident in his grandma's place.
"I'm so scared... I'm gonna go hide in my bathroom I guess cause I just have no idea what else to do..."
About 30 minutes later, Yuko and Rento arrived at Chinami's house to witness her decapitated body.
"Geez... What a poor old woman...", Rento said.
"It took too long for us to get here, Takahashi-kun. The alternate already left. We need to trace its steps before it harms anyone else."
"I'll follow your lead, senpai."
Yuko nodded. "2nd form"
Yuko began sniffing around the things Takeru had knocked over. "Follow me, Takahashi-kun. I can trace him now." Rento looked impressed. "Wow... You're so talented, senpai. Even high alternates struggle with this."
"Don't try to flatter me, Takashi-kun. I see right through you, you're just trying to get extra points from me in the next exam." Rento started shaking his head. "No no no! I mean every word I say, Ikari-san."
Yuko chuckled. "Whatever, my cute little kohai. Just start following me." Yuko and Rento began walking towards Takeru's house. They were not running but even so, it wouldn't take them long to get to their destination. Yuko and Rento walked surprisingly fast.
"Oh shit... I'm so fucked... What if someone saw me running away from grandma's house and went to check on her? I'd be done..."
Due to pure fear, Takeru had locked himself in his bathroom was sitting on his toilet seat terrified of what might happen to him.
knock! knock!
"Fuck..."
"Open the damn door, filthy alternate!", Rento screamed while knocking on Takeru's door.
"Alternate? What the hell is this guy talking about?"
"Umm... I'm kinda busy right now. Please come back sometime later."
"Just stop it, alternate-kun. We know what you are. You don't have to try and pretend to be human.", Yuko said in a surprisingly calm voice.
"Seriously.... What the fuck are these guys talking about? Are they even people who found out about my grandma or just some crazy people who wandered into my house?"
"Umm... I don't understand...", Takeru said in a trembling fearful voice. Rento looked annoyed. "It looks like words ain't gonna work, Ikari-san. 2nd form."
"Huh? What is he sayi-"

Rento had completely broken down the door of Takeru's house with just a punch. Both him and Yuko got in. "Now, where the hell is that bastard hiding?"
"DID THAT GUY JUST BREAK DOWN MY DOOR? SHIT! HE'LL GET INTO THE BATHROOM ANY SECOND! I GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!"
"Geez, this place is a mess. So many ramen packets thrown around everywhere...", Rento said while walking around with a disgusted face. Yuko looked over at Rento and said, "Takahashi-kun, go check inside that bathroom. I'll look around over here."
"Ok! Ikari-san!", Rento said while giving a thumbs up and making a wacky expression.
"He's coming here... Oh shit... oh no... I gotta do something!"
Rento began slowly approaching the door being very cautious. This was because he had previously rushed into a place where an alternate was hiding and it had resulted in him getting bits of his hair cut off, the only thing he can't regenerate.
"I ain't repeating that mistake ever again. Not one girl looked at me when I had to walk around with that shitty hair for weeks. Even the kind Ikari-san laughed when she first saw it."
With each step that Rento got closer and closer, Takeru's heart began pounding faster and faster.
"This is the guy that just broke down my door and he's gonna find me in here soon. I'm so cooked... In my last moments, I want to think about all my beautiful memories I had with my 2 buddies. One time, Kaito got caught by girls from our school buying the My Cute Sister manga and me and Hiroki clowned his ass for days... Ah... Good times... WAIT! FUCK! I'M SO FUCKED! I GOTTA SOMEHOW GET OUT OF HERE!"
Takeru began panicking and rushing around the bathroom trying to find a way to get out. He tried squeezing himself out of a window but it was too small.
"I hear some movement in there! What are you trying to do, Alternate!? You know what? I'm just gonna rush in!"
Rento began running to the bathroom and Takeru could hear loud and clear.
"I'm done... I guess I lived a good life... My biggest regret is that I never got to propose to Aiko but my 2 buddies still made my life a life to be remembered... Its the end for me, Hiroki and Kaito... Maybe we'll meet again in our next lives..."
"OI, BRAT! YOU WANT MY HELP?"
Rento broke down the bathroom's door as well and what he saw was a terrifying alternate, more monstrous than any one he had ever seen before, ready to devour some more heads.
