BOOM!
2 deformed looking individuals suddenly came flying out of a house being destroyed and crash landed onto the the nearby street.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! YESSSS!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!! THE LIGHT OF THE SUN IS HURTING MY EYES!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!", Takeru's alternate screamed with an unusually loud voice. It began stretching around random parts of Takeru's body. It looked like it was goofing around having fun.
Rento watched it with a smile on his face. "Look at how weird and uncontrollable its acting, must be just a weak little low alternate. I'll deal with this fucker quickly and go relax for the day."
Yuko looked out from a window of a different room in Takeru's house. "Takahashi-kun! Why'd you have to destroy parts of the house? You're too sloppy with your work, you know?", Yuko said while trying to sound like a scary senpai.
Rento looked over at her and gave her a guilty smile. "Hehe... Sorry, Senpai! But, I mean... the guy who lived in this house got taken over by an alternate already. Why does it matter if I de-"
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Takeru's alternate suddenly popped up right in front of Rento and delivered a punch right to the gut.
"He's fast!"
Rento got flung a few meters back before he adjusted his legs and stopped. "Seems like I underestimated you... I'm sorry for that. Now, I'll take you seriously."
"LET'S SEE YOU TRY YOUR BEST!!!!!!!"
Yuko began shouting to Rento. "Do you want my help, Takahashi-kun!?", She said in a relaxed voice.
"Nah... Don't you worry, Ikari-san. I can take care of chumps like this on my own." Rento's right hand began stretching and became long enough to be classified as a rope and wrapped itself around Takeru's alternate. "I guess I should show off my strength to my senpai and prove to her that I do deserve those extra points."
"YOU THINK SUCH WEAK BINDS CAN HOLD ME!? WHAT A FOOL YOU ARE!" The alternate immediately broke free without even needing to deform its body and with just its brute strength. At incredible speeds, it leaped in front heading for Rento's head.
"Its strong and Its fast. In those qualities, it might have me beat but..."
"YOUR HEAD LOOKS TASTY, HUMAN!" Takeru's alternate began deforming its head once again while approaching Rento, just as it did with Takeru's grandma. For some reason, Rento was just standing there doing nothing. When Takeru's alternate was just about reach Rento...
"HUH!?" POW!
Rento suddenly began moving once again and delivered a calculated swift blow right into the teeth of Takeru's alternate. "AHHHH!!!!! MY TEETH!!!! YOU BROKE THEM!!!! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS, HUMAN!!!!", Takeru's alternate said while rolling around on the ground in pain.
"You made your teeth all big and sharp so you could devour me, it made them a real easy target. Thanks for that, filthy monster..."
When Rento was standing there doing nothing, he was focusing real hard to activate a certain ability that he possessed. It was an ability that could harden his skin and he used it on his arms to deliver a powerful blow to Takeru's alternate from a seemingly indestructible substance.
Takeru's alternate was still on the ground groveling in pain. "I guess I should just kill you now..." Rento's nails began to growing longer and sharper. Just as he was about to stab Takeru's heart with them, Yuko noticed something.
"Wait, Takahashi-kun!"
"Huh? What is it, Ikari-san?"
"His screams of pain became different..."
Rento looked confused and started scratching his head. "What do you mean, senpai?" Yuko jumped down from the house and approached Takeru.
She bent down to talk to him and said, "Hey... Are you hurt?"
"Senpai! Get away from that Alternate! Its gonna try to eat you!", Rento screamed. Yuko replied, "Its fine, Takahashi-kun. You don't have to worry about your senpai." Rento was still a bit concerned but trusted her words.
"Reply to me, Are you hurt?"
"Yes... It hurts so bad... I don't know why but I'm suddenly out on the street and my teeth are all broken..."
"Its okay... Hold my hands, alright?"
"Ok..."
"Calm down, okay? Relax. Just think about your teeth growing back and fixing themselves. That's all you have to do."
Rento was still standing there looking confused wondering my his senpai was helping an alternate. "Senpai sure can be confusing at times... This reminds me of that one time in 8th grade when a senpai came to our classroom, shut the door and started crying about how he was caught buying a manga called My Cute Brother or something..."
Takeru's teeth began growing back and eventually, his pain was gone. "No way... How did that happen? All my pain is gone..."
"Yay! I knew you could do it, you seemed like you'd be a natural. Good job, umm... uh?"
"Takeru... Ichino Takeru."
"Yes! Good job, Ichino-kun! You can let go of my hands now by the way."
Takeru started blushing. "Oh yeah! Of course, sorry..." Yuko gave him a friendly smile. She looked over at Rento and said, "He's like us, Takahashi-kun. He's an alternate-user."
Rento looked shocked. "What!? There's no way you're falling for his trickery, Ikari-san. This is clearly just an alternate pretending to be a human because it was too afraid to get killed by me. The thing I just fought was definitely an alternate and if he really was an alternate-user that just awakened, his alternate wouldn't have control over his body for so long."
Yuko smiled. "No, My kohai... I can definitely tell he is an alternate-user."
"How!?"
Takeru was just sitting there on the ground looking at the 2 people above him saying things he couldn't understand. It was similar to a child looking at their parents talking about taxes.
"I can just tell from my instinct, you know?", Yuko said in a cheeky voice.
"No. I definitely don't know, senpai.", Rento replied.
"And besides, he could just be a type we haven't run into yet."
"Maybe but still..."
Takeru finally decided to speak up and said, "Umm... What's going on?" Yuko looked over at Takeru and smiled. "Well... Ichino-kun, I have some very exciting news for you today."
Both Takeru and Rento looked confused.
"You are a now a member of SOMA."
