"And there's actually one more thing that i wanna tell you about as well."
"What is it?"
"I told you that i was taking a walk, right?"
"Uhm!"
"Actually, i wasn't. I followed you from university. Because i got to know that Ahyeong would do this. I wanted to tell you about it. But then i stopped, thinking that you might not believe me. You entered your house and i just stood there, thinking that 'should i tell you or not?'.
Then i heard you shout and stood there. I know i'm wrong to do that. I'm so so sorry. Then you came out and i kept following you since then. First, i tried to be very careful. So, that you won't catch me. But then i didn't care much and you just twisted my arm like it was nothing... So, i know that your dad told you to leave."
He said the last statement in a lower tone. I know he felt bad for what he did. I sighed.
"It's okay. I'm not mad. And he's not my dad."
"What?!"
"Yes! He's not my dad. I'll tell you when i have time. Right now, i'm very hungry. I didn't eat anything today. We're literally standing on the same spot for i don't know how long!!"
I whined. Minhyuk laughed. We started to walk again. When we entered the convenience store, i immediately got what i needed and started to eat. As i was eating i realized that Minhyuk's just sitting, watching me. So i looked up at him.
"You can also get if you want anything to eat. Sorry, i was too immersed in eating my food."
"It's okay! I ate already, at the university. During my free lecture. I don't feel like eating anything now."
I nodded quietly and got back to eating. When i was done eating, i got up. I walked out of the convinience store and Minhyuk was beside me.
"Now, let me ask you. Before i ask you this question, i want you to know that i'm only asking this as a friend. I don't have any ill intentions about you. You can spend the night at my house. I live with a few friends of mine."
"One of them is the owner of the house. He's a businessman. He mostly stays out for his business trips. But we are close to him. He's like an old brother."
"Then the other one is Kim Jaekyung, you know him. He's my best buddy."
"And at last, Kevin. He's from Thailand and he's completing his studies here. But he's in a different university, same year though, different major. Still he's a very nice friend.
"So, you don't have to worry about them.. They're very kind and caring. So, i want you to stay in my house. Yoy can't refuse this offer. Reason: because it's not comfortable to sleep on the streets."
He said with his head down. I smirked. Just to tease him a little, i asked him,
"So, you're not worried about my safety."
"No! I am but i know that you are a strong and independent woman. You can protect yourself. That's why i said you won't be comfortable sleeping on the streets."
I chuckled.
"I was just teasing you. That's a lot but yes, i'll stay at your house. Thank you so much, Minhyuk! You're helping me in this. I can't be greatful enough."
"It's nothing. Come, it's getting late now. It's already midnight."
We started to walk to his house. On our way there, i started the conversation as we had been too quiet.
"So much has happened in just one day."
Minhyuk chuckled. Agreeing with me.
"Yeah! First Ahyeong's sudden outbursts."
"Then i found out that the person who i thought was my dad, was actually not my dad. He kicked me out because Ahyeong sent him the photos personally as well."
I said with a bitter tone. Minhyuk's mood, in contrast to mine was lighter. He had a bright mood. It's good though. He said,
"Yes! Then that drunk man got a punch from you and he collapsed right there. Then you were about to break my arm."
He's highlighting this purposely. I glared at him.
"You don't have to emphasize that. Also, i'm sorry for that."
He smiled.
"It's okay i was just teasing you."
"Yeah whatever."
I said while rolling my eyes.
Just like that we talked about our day. It felt like time had stopped. Sharing my day with someone felt nice and listening to theirs as well.
Talking with Minhyuk, made me forget my current worries. I was happy. We joked a lot. My mood was better now. Then we reached his house.
"After everything, i might as well just see my brother sitting in there."
He frowned in confusion as he didn't know what i was talking about. He opened the door with the key and we entered. As we sat on the couch in the living room, a guy walked out of the kitchen.
"Hey! You're late. We were supposed to have a movie night."
He said to Minhyuk. Then he looked at me.
"And you are?"
"Oh! Nice to meet you. I'm Baek Jiwoo. You must be Kevin, right?"
"The guy smiled and nodded his head."
"Yes! My name's Kavin Ratanaporn. But my nickname's Kevin. This good for nothing guy might've told you about me, right?"
"You too?!"
Minhyuk shouted. I laughed because his friend also called him 'good for nothing guy'.
Then a guy came down. Well, that was Jaekyung. I know him. He's always with Minhyuk when it comes to teasing someone but today, he was absent. When he saw me, he got a bit surprised.
"How you doin' chica? Didn't saw you today. Also, Minhyuk! Baby, you were late."
Uhm, he's weird. But funny. Then the main door opened again and this woman (me) was too stunned to speak.
