12th June, 2021 :-
In the kitchen-
"Jiji!"
"Yes, oppa?"
"Look what i got you, the book you wanted to read."
"Oh thankyou so much, oppa! Love you!"
My brother showed the book to me. I was about to take it when he put it back in his bag. I got confused.
"Why did you put it back? Give me."
He raised an eyebrow.
"You're fogetting something. I'm actually not supposed to get you a gift, atleast not today."
Oppa said and that's when it hit me like a truck. Today's oppa's birthday. Oh my dosh!! How can i forget it today when i just got his gift yesterday?
"I'm so sorry!! Wait a minute."
I ran upstairs to my room. I opened my closet. I hid his present, which is a wrist watch, in here. I didn't know what to get him. So, i got a wrist watch. But something's wrong here. I can't see the watch here.
I ran down to my brother and saw the watch on his wrist. I made an expression that screamed, "really?" He smiled like he's the most innocent person in the world.
"That's bad."
I said in a small tone, acting like i'm actually offended. I made a pouty face to which my brother hugged me.
"Oh my baby jiji! I'm sorry~ Don't be sad. I just wanted to tease you a little."
"It's okay. I'm not mad i just wanted to see if you cared."
I broke the hug with a smug smirk spread across my face and my brother looked at me with the same expression i looked at him before. It clearly screamed, "really?"
Now i looked at him with an innocent face. But i still smiled at him like i'm some sort of an evil person. We started to bicker. Suddenly, dad came out of no where.
"Shut up both of you!"
He shouted. I was a bit startled.
"Why? What's wrong? We're not even loud."
My brother, being sensible as he always is, asked. But dad just ignored him like doesn't even exist. Instead, he looked at me.
"Why did you get such a low score on your test?"
My teacher must've called him. I couldn't prepare for my test that day because i was sick. Now i failed my test. But it was a simple class test. Not an important one.
"I was sick and couldn't prepare--"
He didn't even let me complete my sentence and said.
"Tch! Liar. Just like your moth--"
This time Jihan oppa cut him off and said.
"Don't bring mother into this and you can't call Jiwoo that as well. She said she was sick. It wasn't even an important test anyway. Why are you so worked up? You never show any hint of happiness when she gets full scores in her annual exams. So, what's wrong now?"
And just like that they broke into an arguement, screaming at eachother, giving harsh comments. And in amidst of that, i stood like a statue, a coward who didn't know what to do.
"I don't want to see your face ever again."
Oppa said angrily to dad. He got his things and left right away. Dad also went to his room and slammed he door. I ran outside immediately.
Running after my brother, i shouted out his name to which he stopped and looked at me with a painful smile. It's wrong.
"Oppa! Why are you leaving? You aren't even at fault. It was my fault. I failed the test. I should've studied. Don't leave."
I cried, tears coming out like waterfall. Oppa wiped them away with his hand.
"It's not your fault, Jiji! I'll come back and take you with me. Just stay strong and hold on for me. Wait for oppa, okay? I'll work hard and earn enough to take you with me. You woudn't have to live with him anymore. Just stay for a little time. Promise me, you'll wait for your oppa!"
"Yes! I'll wait for you."
"That's my Jiji! I'll come back, I promise "
And just like that, oppa went away. I cried, sobbed, sniffled. I promised to be strong. But i broke my promise. I'm just troublesome. I didn't keep my promise.

5 'o clock-
Jihan shook Jiwoo with a little force and she jolted awake. She was crying. Jihan hugged her tightly.
"What's wrong, Jiji? You were sobbing so hard."
"It was a nightmare. The day you left. It's a total nightmare."
"It's okay. I'm here now."
"No! It's not okay. I broke my promise. I promised you that i would wait for you. But i didn't. I'm not a good sister. I- I'm--"
"Shhh!"
Jihan didn't let her complete her sentence.
"You are not a bad sister. You are the best sister. I'm lucky to have a strong sister like you. And you never broke your promise. You didn't leave the house just because you wanted to. You left because you were forced to."
Jihan said and Jiwoo looked up at him with shock.
"How?"
