"Nathaniel I hate you," Darryl groaned as he made himself comfortable on one of the chairs. He had just arrived back from an executive meeting he handled himself. Usually it was Nathaniel who did this part of the job, but someone decided he had more important things to do at that hour. Like, what was more important than having a board meeting with all partners of a soon to be BlueCrest branch here.
"Hate me all you want Darryl," Nathaniel swivelled his chair, turning to face Darryl and away from the laptop screen. "How was the meeting?" Nathaniel asked.
Great. Everything I dreamed of and more. The partners kept firing me with questions, but you know me…the co-founder of a company I really didn't co-found, I answered them all like a boss should.
"You haven't said anything," Nathaniel gave a small, teasing smile, one reserved for only important people in his life – Darryl and Melanie.
"You know how it went," Darryl murmured.
"Oh I don't," Nathaniel's smile grew wider.
