Chapter 133 - Chapter 133: The Decision

A remote place somewhere in Japan.

Inside a small wooden cabin.

Mirai Kimizuki handed food to Yuichiro.

"Big Brother Yu, do you want to eat?"

"Thank you— Get lost! You filthy human!"

Halfway through his sentence, Yuichiro's originally gentle smile suddenly turned into a vicious expression. Fortunately, the chains on his body restricted his movements.

Mirai Kimizuki was startled by Yuichiro's sudden shout. She instinctively let out a cry of surprise and stumbled back, sitting on the ground with a look of fear as the bowl in her hand fell and shattered.

Clang!

The wooden door was kicked open, and Shihō Kimizuki rushed in nervously. Seeing his sister sitting on the ground, he stepped forward to help Mirai up and roared at Yuichiro.

"You bastard, Yu! What are you doing to Mirai!"

Yuichiro's expression suddenly became dazed again, and he asked blankly,

"Was I out of control again just now?"

Shihō Kimizuki sighed; Yuichiro's current situation really couldn't be blamed on him.

Everyone else, including Mika, also walked in.

Yuichiro's current consciousness was constantly unstable. Unlike this period in the original story, Yuichiro wasn't fighting a demon for control of his body, but a Seraph.

In comparison, the demon's consciousness appeared at regular intervals, while the Seraph was completely unpredictable. One second Yuichiro would be chatting with everyone, and the next he might start attacking them.

Fortunately, Shinoa Hiragi had negotiated with the Progenitor to obtain a method to restrict the Seraph, allowing everyone to sleep peacefully.

Shinoa Hiragi looked at Yuichiro with a complex gaze. After all, Yuichiro had been injured while trying to block Rig for her. With such heavy injuries, only the power of the Seraph could save him.

Actually, Mika had been prepared to turn Yuichiro into a Vampire at that time, but he was one step slower than Yuichiro's acceptance of the Seraph.

This led to the scene before them.

"What should we do next? No one can resist the Vampires anymore, and we'll be found sooner or later. Why don't we head out to sea?"

Yoichi suddenly asked the question everyone was thinking about, while also offering his own opinion.

Mitsuba immediately shook her head in rejection.

"We know nothing about the current state of other countries. It might not be any better than Japan."

Shihō Kimizuki said,

"But we can't just do nothing. Not to mention being found by Vampires, even food is a major problem."

Yuichiro was a bit surprised.

"Eh? Are we out of food already?"

This place was too remote, surrounded by barren mountains. For the past few days, they had been eating wild fruits, and now there weren't many left.

Mika spoke up at this point.

"Don't worry, Yu. I'll take you back to Sanguinem. There's food there, and Taichi and the others should have been taken back by Luke..."

Shihō Kimizuki interrupted dissatisfiedly.

"Are you going to raise that idiot Yu like livestock and feed him nutrient solution?"

Mika's expression remained unchanged.

"Lady Krul has long arranged for some humans to grow normal food. Although there aren't many seeds left after the apocalypse, it's better than sleeping in the wild and going hungry."

Mika had wanted to take Yuichiro back for a long time, but he couldn't defeat the Seraph-form Yuichiro, and Shinoa Hiragi and the others were unwilling to go back to Sanguinem with him.

Mitsuba looked at the contemplating Shinoa Hiragi and stopped speaking. Shinoa was the captain; no matter what decision Shinoa made, she wouldn't oppose it.

Shinoa Hiragi was also extremely conflicted right now.

From her interactions with Luke, all of that guy's actions so far seemed to be for fun, making it hard to grasp his true purpose.

Perhaps because he hadn't been a Vampire for long, he didn't treat humans as livestock.

After a long time, Shinoa Hiragi proposed,

"We can try to contact Luke, but, Mika, we will not enter the Vampire city."

Mika showed his displeasure; he had never given Shinoa Hiragi a friendly look.

"You are the ones in a predicament, yet you want Luke to come to you?"

Shinoa Hiragi naturally knew this sounded like bargaining, but she remained firm.

"I am the squad captain. I have to be responsible for my comrades. We don't want to take on unknown risks."

Mika fell into silence, looked at Yuichiro, and clicked his tongue.

"Fine. We'll go to Kyoto first. Then I'll take Yu back first, and then bring Luke to see you. You can discuss the rest yourselves."

Mika felt that given Luke's personality, there was a high probability he wouldn't refuse.

But Shinoa Hiragi immediately refused.

"Impossible! Yu cannot go back with you first."

It wasn't that Shinoa Hiragi didn't trust Mika or feared he would never return with Yuichiro; it was just that once Yuichiro entered Sanguinem, even Mika wouldn't be able to guarantee his safety.

After all, she knew something about what the Seraph represented to the Vampires.

Mika, for his part, was naturally uneasy about leaving Yuichiro with these humans. Although he realized everyone truly cared for Yuichiro after spending time together, he still felt a strong resistance to letting Yuichiro be too far from him.

In the end, Shinoa decided that she, Mika, and Yuichiro would enter Sanguinem.

Of course, the other comrades were unwilling, but they couldn't sway her in the end. Shinoa wouldn't allow them to come along... Sanguinem, Detention Area.

The remnants of the Guren Squad and the Narumi Squad had been captured by Crowley, though their lives were spared. They also learned of the Imperial Demon Army's destruction, but they were powerless.

"Beautiful ladies, eat something. The food these Vampires gave us is actually quite good."

Goshi Norito handed the food sent by the Vampires to Mito, Sayuri, and Shigure.

But they were all still immersed in the grief of Ichinose Guren's death and ignored Goshi Norito completely.

"Sigh, rejected by three ladies again."

Goshi Norito was also very sad, but he didn't want everyone to waste away like this, so he could only comfort himself and try to cheer everyone up.

Goshi Norito walked to the side and sat down. Narumi approached him.

"Are you okay, Colonel?"

"The Imperial Demon Army has been destroyed. There's no need to call me by my rank anymore."

Goshi Norito waved his hand and gave a self-deprecating smile, indicating he was fine.

Narumi wanted to say something comforting, but in the end, he sighed helplessly and returned to his own team.

Tap, tap, tap.

The sound of footsteps approached. No one looked up; perhaps they were here to drink their blood or to kill them.

"Humans, lift your heads."

No one complied. Why would they listen to a Vampire?

Urd wasn't annoyed when no one paid him any mind. There was no need to lower himself to the level of livestock.

He only came here to ask how much these members of the Imperial Demon Army knew about Hiiragi Tenri's situation. Since Luke hadn't given them any spoilers, Hiiragi Tenri was their only lead.

The guarding Vampire opened the cell door and walked in.

Only then did the crowd look up at Urd.

A Noble they hadn't seen before. He looked very strong.

Outside the cell, Urd entered alone. Lest Karr Karr wanted to teach Luke a lesson, but just as he was about to turn around, he suddenly felt a force slam into his waist. Lest Karr Karr spat out a mouthful of blood and flew back, smashing into the wall.

Guren was somewhat surprised; he hadn't seen what happened either.

Luke secretly retracted the demon sword in his hand, moved half a step closer to Krul, and revealed Crowley behind him.

"Oh~ Crowley, you're amazing! You actually succeeded in a sneak attack on the Third Progenitor! By the way, Lord Lest Karr, that wall is very expensive. Sigh, forget it, I won't ask for compensation."

Crowley:?

Standing behind Luke just now, he had seen the truth. Was he really framing me?

Lest Karr Karr crawled out from the wall in a sorry state, his eyes looking as if they were about to spit fire.

"I'm going to... kill you all!"

Thump.

A piece of rubble fell from the wall and hit Lest Karr Karr on the head.

The scene went quiet. This stone didn't do much damage, but it was extremely insulting.

"Hahahaha!"

Krul laughed mockingly without any restraint.

"What bad luck, you brat. Scram back to Germany!"
