Xicor looked at his technique's progress as he was sat on top of his usual rocky spire, looking on in the distance to let his thoughts wonder to pass the time as well as clear his chaotic thoughts, mainly the rising anxiety in his inside him but he couldn't figure out why.
Over the weeks he has been training into achieving rct but he couldn't do it, he would see and feel a feint white orb deep within him but every time he tried to grasp it would disappear almost instantly.
But every time he tried to repeat the process, it would always end in failure. After the 3rd week, he begun his sparring and training with Naruhime, which has been fruitful and always ended in her victory, his cursed speech and disaster flames techniques have reached 100% thanks to having a physical opponent to use them against but the most troublesome one is his two new techniques.
With boogie woogie, he uses it with Ryu as he has cursed energy inside him but with black bird manipulation, he will need to venture into the human world to collect a flock of crows to tame.
He has also gained some information about barriers after analysing the barriers around the dorms of the demon defence forces when they go out to save civilians and Shikoku explaining how her own barriers work.
But even that has become difficult to do, as it requires a ton of cursed energy as well as concrete image of the domain a user wants when implementing their cursed technique to it and that requires and immense amount of control.
So Xicor is still pondering how to perfect it, which may take a while or in event of him gaining clarity in the middle of battle.
During the time with the two goddesses, they been getting closer almost with him every day. Sometimes it's both of them, sometimes it's just one of them but they all end with him reading to them about mythical creatures.
He was lost in thought about different possibilities to get a domain and rct when a strange sensation hits him, blinking several times he looks fire to his right to see a red light in the distance and it appears to get closer by the second.
"What is that?" He muttered to himself and he got up off the ground and placed his mask over his face, anticipating a demon defence force chief has found him.
But it wasn't that, as Xicor continued to sense what's coming, easily at the level of a cheif or higher, the strange sensation begins to be more and more clear to him.
"It can't be!?" He blurted out but before he could say any more, a massive red beam came from the direction he was looking completely consuming his form.
At the other end of the beam, the creature from the lab, Subject Charlie, has been unleashed, standing on a long spike with one foot on it with the other behind it, stabilising itself. Its tail and white hair swayed in the wind as it looked at the rising smoke cloud. Its horns sparked with red electricity before dispersing.
Its mouth let out a predatory hiss before its head snapped to the side down below to find Xicor standing there looking up at it.
'What the hell is this thing' Xicor thought as he sense what's radiating off it, 'there's cursed energy as well as that energy from those special Shuuki radiating from its body, how is this possible, is it a manifestation of my own cursed energy mixed with mato's own energy?'
Xicor shook is head as it's not the time to ponder as the creature blurred at him as he jumped back, a gust of smoke and dust exploded from Charlies impact zone as Xicor immediately fired flames from one hand at it, launching it back.
Xicor chased after it, his steps becoming a blur as he ran across the barren land, occasionally jumping from one rock formation to another.
He made it to Charlies location as smoke cover led the spot where it crashed as Xicor was about to fire a piercing blood but the creature blurred in front of him and grab his whole face before he could he act.
Charlie smashed him down to the floor before it begun to drag him across the rocky ground. Xicor attempted to escape its grip by blast flames at its face but it wasn't fazed, so Xicor used something different.
"Let go!" Xicor's voice echoed in its ears as its hand snapped open and released him before he quickly got up from the ground and strike the creature with Ratio, sending it back several meters.
Xicor followed after it and punch it in the cheek, it retaliated by using its own fist and hitting Xicor in the side, making him grunt and grit his teeth.
He then grabbed the hand that was connected to his side by its wrist before erupting its arm in flames and kicking it away.
Xicor appeared behind it but it was ready as its tail smacked him in the face, partially cracking the mask and sending him into a wall.
Charlie calmly wave its arm to the side as the flames disappeared, it glanced down at its hand, opening and closing it to ensure everything is working before turning its head side Xicor.
As it looked in Xicor's direction a large red fist flew at it with terrifying speeds but Charlie managed to raise its arms and cross them in front of it. The fist dragged Charlie into a wall before it slowly disappeared.
Charlie roared at him as the ground below it erupted like a volcano as magma was shot up, covering Charlie and making it unseeable.
Charlie shot out of the magma pillar and smash Xicor in the ground, just as Xicor was about to release a slicing exorcism at it he was throw up before Charlie generated a red orb between its horns.
Seeing the red orb, Xicor couldn't dodge as he in air and was forced to use cursed energy reinforcement as well as cross his arms in front of him before he was consume by a red blast, launching him far and through 3 thick rock walls.
Xicor gritted his teeth as he staggered out, shaking his head he immediately jumped to side as his instincts screamed at him to dodge as Charlie crashed down where he was.
Xicor punched Charlie back with ratio, blasting through the hole in the wall that Xicor came through.
"Ryu" Xicor summoned the Chinese dragon as it chase Charlie and ram it into the ground but the creature held Ryu back as it dragged its feet on the floor.
Charlie threw Ryu away and into the wall as it prepared to fire a beam at Ryu but it tilted its head to side as a beam of blood shot past its head.
Charlie's head snapped to Xicor as it fired a red beam at him as he vanished from his position and appear at Charlie's side and connect his palm with his fingers curled and hardened blood covering his hand in to the creatures chest as it recoiled back and .
The creature took a step back but before it could hit Xicor back, Ryu grabbed its tail with its mouth and throw it down below into a valley where a group of Shuuki are travelling.
Charlie crashed down behind them, which caught their attention but as they turned to the sound, they were all consumed by a beam.
Charlie didn't get a second to look up at Xicor before a magma was blasted at its back and front by two small volcanoes.
They continued to keep blasting the creature for several minutes before one was blast away and the next second, the other was blasted away.
Steam flowed from the creatures body before a piece of rock was thrown against its head, making its head recoil back a little.
Charlie blinked several times and looked down at the rock that hit it before the sound of someone clapping resounded in its ears as the rock disappeared and in its place was Xicor, cupping his fist as cursed energy was concentrated in his other fist.
Xicor thrusted his fist forward and simultaneously using ratio to maximise the damage. His fist landed directly in its stomach, coupled with landing a ratio, the creature spat saliva from its mouth.
Charlie screamed out to the sky as it back hand Xicor, but the attack never landed as he clapped his hands as both swapped places, facing opposite directions.
Xicor spun around and swung at Charlies head with leg that recoiled it back but it grabbed his leg and swung him over it and bounce off the ground.
Ryu came flying in but Charlie attempted to blast it with a beam. Xicor seeing its attack, quickly clapped his hands as Ryu was swapped with a rock.
Charlie didn't have time to move as it already fired the beam with Xicor firing a piercing blood at its head but as the beam connected, it didn't go through.
Xicor clicked his tongue in frustration as Charlies beam ended it turned its head to Xicor but Ryu's tail smacked Charlie into a wall forcing it to let go of him.
Xicor slowly got up as Ryu pursued Charlie, giving its master time to recover. Charlie jumped out the smoke and uppercutted the dragon before kicking it away.
It raised its forearm to its chest as a fist connected with it, it responded with a fist of its own but Xicor deflected it smash his palm against its stomach before Charlie body was consumed by fire, making Xicor jump back.
As Charlie was trying to put out the searing heat, Xicor jumped out of the valley they were in before leaping high in the air as cursed energy swirled around his fist before 7 red fists appeared above.
The red fist crashed down like missiles, destroying the walls of the valley and making large rubble pieces to fall down as well as crush Charlie, who was also getting hit by the fists.
The lower part of the valley, where the creature was is completely covered, no sign of Charlie or even Shuuki. Xicor interlocked as two magma arms rises on either side of the rubble before they came crashing down on the creature, completely covering the debris in hot magma.
Ryu floated high in the sky, surveying the destruction from above as Xicor stood still, staring, waiting.
A large red beam shot out of the river of magma as the creature leaped out and land on the opposite side of Xicor, they both stare at each other.
Before Ryu came charging in from behind it but didn't get far at a red orb materialised at the tip of its tail and blasted Ryu away and through two spires.
Both Xicor and Charlie lowered themselves before leaping at each other as cursed energy clashed between two different sources.
Xicor's red and black cursed energy clashed with the creatures pure red cursed energy as the ripples of energy flowed from their connected forearms.
Ryu came flying underneath them as they landed down on the Chinese dragon. They begin to exchange blows, redirect their hands and blocking with their forearms.
Charlie shifted its head to side as a fist went past it and, ceasing the opportunity, coated its fist in pure red cursed energy and striking Xicor in side.
But Xicor covered managed to cover the spot with hardened blood. Xicor twisted his hand to side of Charlie's head before it erupted in flames, effectively making it blind.
He used this opportunity to drive his knee into Charlies stomach before he clapped his hands as he was swapped with a piece of rock as Ryu came charging through like train.
Ryu charged Charlie into a wall before clamping its leg in its mouth and flying straight up, Charlie put out the flames and was about to blast the dragon away but a clap resounded in his ear as Ryu was swapped with a piece of rock.
Anticipating it, Charlie twisted its body around to source of the clap and fired point blank as the beam created a large red orb before exploding into a large mushroom cloud.
Blasting out of the smoke was Xicor as he crash into a rock wall high up, his upper clothes have been burnt away with his lower clothes slightly burnt but still there and his mask has all been destroyed, meaning Ryu is no longer on the battle field.
His body slowly fell forward before crashing down on the barren floor, 'damn, I'm getting my ass kicked' he thought bitterly, struggling to lift his head.
He watched as Charlie landed back down on ground and walk towards him as cursed energy flickered around their hands.
'I guess I could use that but that may take all of my cursed energy but if I'm careful it will only take about 40% of it' Xicor thought as he slowly got of the ground and got into a stance.
He smacked his head a few times to get his head back into the fight despite not having the support of his dragon.
His own cursed energy flickered around his hands, they stayed still for a few seconds before they blur towards each other as their fists connected but Xicor struggled with the clash but he managed to redirect the fist away and swing his leg and hitting Charlie in the head, infusing it with cursed energy as to daze the creature.
Charlie was about to retaliate but Xicor shouted a command at it that forced its will to follow, "blast away!!"
The space around it distorted before it flew away into a wall. Using this opening Xicor jumped in the air and using the anti-gravity to increase his height and keep him there, he then raised a hand high, behind him.
"Maximum Technique: Meteor!!" A massive orb of magma and rock that almost appears like a miniature sun was formed above Xicor as the surrounding began to heat up as steam rises up from the ground with a few boulder and debris were melted away some of them spun around the massive meteor like it had its own gravitational pull.
Charlie bursted from the debris and looked up at the massive orb before locking its eyes with Xicor. Without wasting a second it leaped up directly at him with one of its hands fully straight like a blade and cursed energy surrounding it, fully intending to kill him.
But as Charlie was mid-way in the sky, aiming for Xicor, Xicor's lips turned into a bloody grin before uttering two words that forces Charlie to command.
"Don't move!"
Charlie's body completely froze in the sky as it struggled to move but it was too late as Xicor was about to launch the massive meteorite.
"Here comes the sun~!" He yelled out almost like he was remembering a song back in his previous life.
The meteor crashed down and plummeted into the barren ground as the wind pushed everything back and temperatures spikes up as an explosion resounded the entire area, completely filling it with smoke and steam.
