After spending such a joyful time playing with the children at the orphanage, my parents and I finally returned home. My heart still felt light, filled with laughter and the memories of their smiling faces.

The lights dimmed a little, and the soft glow of the candles flickered on the cake Mom had made with so much care. The room felt warm, peaceful… just the three of us.
"Make a wish," Mom said gently.
I closed my eyes for a moment.
Today had been… different.
And as I opened them again, I leaned forward to cut the cake—surrounded by the quiet love of my small family.
