Len and Arin fell—straight into another unknown realm.
The world around them twisted like liquid light. Colors stretched, shattered, then rebuilt themselves in patterns neither of them recognized. The air felt thick, almost alive, humming with ancient energy.
Len tightened his grip around Arin as the void swallowed them whole.
"Hold on!" he shouted, though his voice felt distant in the swirling chaos.
Arin clung to him, trembling.
"Len… where are we going?"
"I don't know—but we'll face it together."
The fall lasted seconds… or maybe hours. Time made no sense here.
Then suddenly—
A bright flash.
A hard impact.
A gasp of air.
They hit solid ground.
Len groaned, pushing himself up. Dirt. Grass. The sweet smell of wind. Real—too real.
Arin stirred beside him.
"Len… this place…"
He looked around.
They were in a massive open field—golden grass stretching endlessly. Above them, a sky painted with purple clouds and glowing silver constellations gently swirled. Strange floating stones drifted in the air like silent guardians.
It was beautiful.
But unfamiliar.
"Definitely not the human world," Len muttered.
Before they could explore, their systems flickered to life.
[Location Detected: Realm of the Forgotten]
[Warning: This dimension is unstable]
[Unknown life signatures approaching]
Arin's face paled.
"We shouldn't stay out in the open."
Len nodded.
"You're right. Let's move."
They walked through the field, hand in hand, keeping their senses sharp. Every breeze carried whispers, distant and haunting—as if the land itself remembered ancient sorrow.
Arin looked worried.
"Len… that entity, the one sealed… do you think it followed us?"
Len shook his head.
"No. I think the broken seal scattered the energy and flung us somewhere else entirely."
Arin bit her lip.
"That might be worse…"
Suddenly—
A branch snapped behind them.
Len instantly shielded Arin.
"Who's there?"
The grass parted.
A boy roughly their age stepped out, wearing traditional clothes marked with glowing runes. His silver eyes studied them calmly.
"You two don't belong here," he said bluntly.
Len remained tense.
"And you are?"
The boy placed a hand on his chest politely.
"My name is Ryn. Disciple of the Forgotten Temple. This realm is sacred and sealed. Outsiders normally cannot enter… unless the realm itself chooses them."
Arin whispered, "Chooses us…?"
Ryn nodded.
"In the last thousand years, only one other person has been transported here. And every time it happens… a disaster follows."
Len clenched his jaw.
"We didn't come by choice."
"I know," Ryn said. "The realm pulled you in. Something powerful rode on your souls."
Arin stiffened.
"You mean the sealed entity?"
Ryn's eyes darkened.
"Yes. And now the entire realm is trembling because of it."
Len stepped forward.
"We need answers. Can your temple help us?"
Ryn hesitated, then nodded.
"I can take you there. But understand this—once you enter the Forgotten Temple, your fates will be bound to its prophecy."
Arin gulped softly.
Len reached for her hand.
"We've been through worse," he whispered.
She nodded.
Ryn led them deeper into the golden fields. Soon, a huge stone structure appeared, floating slightly above the ground, glowing with ancient light.
The Forgotten Temple.
Inside, everything felt older than time. Ancient murals lined the walls, showing battles between gods and shadows. One mural caught Len's attention—
A girl with Arin's same eyes…
And a boy with blue fire swirling around his hands.
Len froze.
Arin's breath hitched.
Ryn noticed their reaction.
"That mural is ten thousand years old," he said softly.
"It depicts the 'Twin Bearers'—a pair destined to either save the realms… or destroy them."
Len and Arin exchanged a silent, uneasy glance.
Ryn continued, "The prophecy says the Twin Bearers will awaken when the Sealed One stirs. And their arrival will change everything."
Arin's voice trembled.
"But… that looks like—"
"You," Ryn finished. "Both of you."
The room fell silent.
Before Len could respond—
BOOOOM!!
The entire temple shook violently. Dust rained from the ceiling.
Ryn's face drained of color.
"No… it can't already be here—!"
Arin clutched Len's arm.
"Len… something's coming."
Len felt it too.
An immense pressure.
A familiar darkness.
A deep voice echoed through the air:
"Did you think you could escape me, vessel?"
Arin gasped.
"That voice—!"
Len pulled her behind him.
The shadows at the temple entrance thickened, condensing into a monstrous, half-formed silhouette.
It had found them.
But this time—it wasn't alone.
Behind the entity… a second presence lurked.
Something even darker.
Even stronger.
Ryn whispered in horror:
"That… that's impossible. The prophecy says the Sealed One never had a master…"
Len's heart pounded.
The entity's voice trembled in fear—
not strength.
"Master… they are the ones who carry the ancient flames."
A taller shadow slowly stepped forward.
Only glowing eyes could be seen.
Cold. Merciless.
Ancient.
The new voice echoed like thunder:
"Finally… the Twin Bearers have awakened."
Len's blood ran cold.
Arin squeezed his hand.
And the shadow smiled.
"Let the hunt begin."
