Svetlana, however, snorted, "Cheer up, rookie! This isn't the time to be depressed. You're healthy and whole, so you must strive to live. What's there to be afraid of? You'll understand when you've experienced more."
"Instructor, you seem to have experienced a lot! Thank you, Instructor, I will work hard." Rebecca also forced herself to cheer up. She couldn't be a burden; she wanted to be a useful person.
Eddie lowered his head and observed, "I suspect this place has been attacked by some monsters, carrying some kind of disease bacteria or something we don't know, infecting all the passengers here and turning them into Zombies. The situation here is exactly the same as the overturned military police vehicle scene."
"Is that why you suggested taking all the military police's weapons and equipment?" Svetlana sneered. Is this what they call taking advantage of a disaster?
"Hey, hey, I'm just reusing waste, alright? No, this is resource recycling and reuse, and you supported it. What do dead people need so many weapons for?" Eddie was displeased. This Svetlana had just cooperated with him in showing off, and the next second she was tearing him down. This woman was really like a night owl, difficult to tame!
"Hmph!" Svetlana turned her head and said nothing. She was a pragmatist, not one of those keyboard warriors who were overly sympathetic but lacked real ability!
The three continued their search and arrived at the next carriage, where they still encountered some Zombies. A new discovery was that after one Zombie was shot, it disintegrated into scattered leeches, seemingly having been composed of leeches!
"What is this? Leeches?" Rebecca was a little confused. She realized she had to quickly accept these new things and stop being surprised. There was nothing to be surprised about, even if she saw someone flying out of thin air!
Bang, bang! Intense gunfire came from the next carriage; it seemed someone was under attack.
"Be careful. I'll take the lead. Rebecca, there's nothing to be surprised about. From now on, even if we see a pig climbing a tree, we must view it with a normal mindset, understand?" Eddie said as he walked ahead.
Pfft! Rebecca, who was originally very nervous, suddenly laughed after hearing that. Her beautiful eyes looked at Eddie, sparkling with gratitude. He was afraid she would be nervous, so he deliberately told a joke. This warm gesture made Rebecca feel very comfortable and very good. At the same time, there was a hint of jealousy in her heart, a jealousy towards Jill, jealous that Jill could be Eddie's girlfriend and was even pregnant!
Arriving at the next carriage, Eddie saw a man with a strange tattoo on his right arm, wearing a vest and a buzz cut, holding a Magnum pistol and attacking a huge Zombie.
Each shot caused a large chunk of the giant Zombie to be blown off. These falling pieces would turn into twisted, dead leeches, seemingly another bio-weapon composed of leeches!
"Hey! Buddy, we're members of the Raccoon City S.T.A.R.S.. We're here to save people, don't be afraid!" Eddie pulled out a grenade and threw it directly.
"Holy crap!" The buzz-cut man quickly dodged behind an obstacle, his heart filled with the urge to curse. Using a grenade in such a narrow space was extremely dangerous. If he was accidentally hit by shrapnel, he could die! If he got tetanus, it would be even worse!
Boom! Eddie pulled Svetlana and Rebecca down. The grenade exploded, blasting the giant Zombie made of leeches into fragments.
Svetlana's eyes were icy cold. "I can dodge by myself, I don't need your help." She knew very well that this man wouldn't miss any opportunity to take advantage. He was such a scumbag, yet he pretended to be righteous, which left her speechless.
"Aren't I just concerned about you all? I saved you again. Don't think about offering yourselves to me; I wouldn't be able to withstand such a test!" Eddie laughed heartily.
"Go to hell!" Svetlana and Rebecca both spat out at the same time.
Rebecca, who had stood up, suddenly raised her gun at the buzz-cut man. "Lieutenant Billy, you're that escaped prisoner, aren't you?"
"Tch, are you here to arrest me?" Billy still had a handcuff on his right hand, proving that he was indeed the escaped prisoner.
"Wait, Rebecca, there's something wrong here. Lieutenant Billy, you're the main character in that astonishing case of framing a comrade from a year ago, aren't you?" Eddie suddenly said. He intended to help Billy because he had a plan that required a nominal 'dead man' to help, and Billy had a strong sense of justice, making him a very good subordinate.
"Tch, there's nothing to say. It's too dangerous here, you'd better leave quickly." Billy said, then wanted to leave.
"Stop, don't go. You're a suspect now. We're the S.T.A.R.S.. If you take another step, I'll shoot." Rebecca said anxiously.
Eddie, however, stopped Rebecca. "Forget it, it's very dangerous here. It's better to have an extra helper than an extra enemy. I believe the information I investigated before was not wrong. Lieutenant Billy, being wrongly accused must feel terrible!"
Chapter 87: Impersonating a Girlfriend
Lieutenant Billy subconsciously paused. "I don't want to recall that matter. Please let me leave, thank you." He didn't refute, just looked a bit dispirited.
"Don't rush. We need to investigate a missing persons case. The culprits are these monsters we've seen. We need to find the source of these monsters and why this situation occurred. We need help, and being alone in this situation is extremely dangerous. You've also seen the power of those Zombie Dogs, haven't you?" Eddie suggested.
Svetlana alone could handle these monsters. She didn't know Eddie's plan, but from her perspective, this man was definitely plotting something. The longer she spent with him, the more curious she became about him. He didn't seem to hide anything from her, yet she still felt he was like a mist.
Billy stopped. "Those military police were killed by Zombie Dogs. They appeared in groups of more than ten, with an instinct for teamwork. After the vehicle overturned, I escaped to the train and only had time to find a gun before encountering this monster."
"Hey, catch this. We need to work together. A monster that can silently attack an entire train is very terrifying, we need to be careful." Eddie threw over a gun and several magazines.
"Thanks. In that case, I'll assist you first." Billy nodded. The two sides were only temporarily cooperating and didn't completely trust each other yet. Only after experiencing life-and-death battles could they become reliable companions.
Thump! Suddenly, the roof of the carriage was torn open. Billy quickly dodged to the other side, and a dark stinger poked where he had just been standing.
Eddie also pulled Rebecca back, and a giant iron pincer appeared where they had been standing.
On the other side, Svetlana directly flew up and kicked the attacking iron pincer away, causing the monster to let out a roar! Retreating was not her style; only attacking and attacking again, and defeating the enemy, was her way!
Thump! A huge, dark scorpion jumped from the torn-open roof into the carriage. Its two giant iron pincers opened and closed, its entire body covered in thick scales, and the poisonous stinger at its tail glowed dangerously, clearly indicating its potent venom.
"What the hell is this thing?" Billy asked, simultaneously quickly drawing his gun and attacking. The bullets had little effect on its body. The scales effectively defended against the impact of the bullets, unable to cause it harm!
"Giant poisonous scorpion, an infected scorpion. It should have been artificially cultivated. A normal scorpion couldn't be this big. Anyway, just be careful. Its tail is relatively fragile. If you're a good shot, you can hit its eyes, but it's usually impossible to hit." Eddie explained, adding that he certainly couldn't do it, his marksmanship wasn't that good.
Bang! But the next second, Svetlana, with just two shots, blew out the giant scorpion's eyes, causing the scorpion to lose its sight, cry out in pain, and begin to madly destroy its surroundings.
Svetlana raised an eyebrow. "There's nothing I can't do; it's just that you can't do it."
Alright, he was put in his place. Why was this woman so fierce?
Eddie pulled Rebecca and Svetlana and ran wildly. "Hurry up and go, what are you still doing here?"
Billy also quickly ran back. In that instant, he could sense the blonde beauty's warning, telling him not to have any ideas, or she would not be polite.
Billy never imagined that the people he encountered would be so awesome. Are the local special squads so powerful now? Are they even more powerful than their regular Marine Corps?
Eddie turned around, pulled out an incendiary grenade, and threw it directly, letting the crazed scorpion burn along with the carriage.
What was originally thought to be a difficult battle seemed to end all at once. Eddie knew this was reality; there were no forced battles, and everything could be handled very flexibly.
The burning scorpion was still wildly waving its iron pincers, destroying an entire carriage, but it fell beside the tracks. The burning flames gradually began to roast the scorpion into a barbecue that could replenish a huge amount of protein.
"See? This is the danger I was talking about. Without a team, even if you run out of bullets, you won't be able to deal with these monsters." Eddie nodded, his expression very smug.
"Are all the S.T.A.R.S. members from Raccoon City this powerful?" Billy was a bit in self-doubt. Was he too weak, or were they too strong?
"No, Svetlana is our instructor, she's very powerful." Rebecca explained. She didn't trust Billy, but she trusted Eddie, unconditionally, simply because Eddie had saved her countless times.
"The two of us are, she isn't. She's my girlfriend, and she came with us on the mission because she was worried." Eddie said with a half-truthful smile, and winked. Was he lying?
Svetlana raised an eyebrow, wanting to refute, but didn't want the man to lose face, so she remained silent. This verbal advantage had little effect.
"Alright, you're also very powerful. I hope you continue to have good luck." Billy said something that only men would understand, meaning whether he would have many lovers or be henpecked in the future depended on his own efforts; others couldn't help.
They originally wanted to explore the train, but then the train suddenly started on its own.
"What's going on?" Billy held his gun, on alert.
"I don't know, but we should go to the driver's cabin at the front of the train now." Eddie offered a suggestion.
At the same time, at the front of the train, two Umbrella elite mobile unit members were investigating the train, preparing to destroy the evidence on board.
As a result, a large swarm of leeches fell from the sky, directly engulfing them. Only screams could be heard through their headsets. Guns were constantly firing, but the infected leeches began to frantically gnaw at their equipment, directly biting them to death!
Wesker and William, in Raccoon City, heard the screams of the two mobile unit members and both felt something was wrong.
"It seems something has happened. I will personally go to the Executive Training Center and activate the self-destruct device. Whatever is inside will turn to dust." Wesker pushed up his sunglasses. In reality, he was going to collect the Training Facility's data.
