Chapter 57 - 57

At the same time, Wesker had also infiltrated the Training Facility, which was connected to the Mansion, with high-speed underground trains providing quick access from Raccoon City to both locations.

Wesker, who had infiltrated the Training Facility, felt extremely strange. Along the way, he encountered a large number of experimental monsters, creatures hailed as biological weapons: centipedes, large cockroaches, spiders, and zombies!

"Damn it, the contamination in the Training Facility is still so severe. Didn't Sergei, that idiot, say he had already cleaned it up?" Wesker pushed forward, gritting his teeth. He needed to go to the monitoring room to find all the footage of what had happened here.

With superhuman strength, Wesker easily dealt with these monsters. Don't forget, he was a researcher before and knew the weaknesses of these creatures well, able to dispatch them in a few moves.

As Eddie and his three companions continued, on the way to the Training Facility's main hall, a series of crashing sounds, heavy footsteps, and inexplicable roars could be heard, as if some terrifying monster was about to arrive.

Rebecca cautiously adopted a combat stance, clutching her submachine gun and observing her surroundings with vigilant eyes.

Billy, holding a powerful Magnum pistol, looked straight ahead. "It's ahead, there's movement there. It seems like something is coming."

Thump! A two-meter-tall rotting giant leaped onto the pile of rubble, its exposed heart still beating, looking incredibly terrifying. Its decaying appearance gave off a putrid smell that was nauseating.

"Is that a person?" Billy asked, a little strangely.

"I don't think so. Best be careful," Eddie said, immediately retreating to dodge the Tyrant's leaping attack.

He sidestepped again, dodging the Tyrant's claw swipe. The swipe was fast but easy to avoid, with little variation.

Bang! Rebecca was the first to fire, hitting the Tyrant's head directly. Unfortunately, the Tyrant's head was extremely hard; even bullets only produced a crisp sound upon impact, though it still caused the Tyrant to roar in pain and anger.

Bang! This time, the bullet sent the Tyrant stumbling backward. It was Billy's Magnum, whose immense kinetic energy could fell an elephant, yet it only tore off a small piece of flesh from the Tyrant T-001.

Eddie took a deep breath. Upon seeing the Tyrant, he felt a mix of tension and fear. This ultimate weapon of the T-Virus, possessing incredibly destructive power, was incomparable to bioweapons like Zombie Dogs and Hunters.

The Tyrant crouched slightly, preparing to charge. Rebecca noticed it immediately and, at the moment the Tyrant launched its charge, she decisively ducked, narrowly dodging its attack.

Eddie immediately rushed forward and delivered a kick, only to feel as if he had kicked a steel plate! This made him incredulous. He could kick Hunters flying, yet he couldn't budge an early model Tyrant?

The Tyrant immediately turned and swiped with a claw. Eddie similarly ducked to avoid this stiff attack, then kicked the Tyrant again with force, still getting no reaction.

"This guy is really tough!" Eddie quickly dodged back. He wanted to test his strength, and it proved that his T-Virus enhancement was quite limited; he couldn't just casually beat a Tyrant like a primary school student.

Svetlana, however, had been continuously observing this new humanoid bioweapon, which seemed to open a new door for her. If these weapons were used in areas of intense conflict to resist, they might even achieve good results!

Bang bang! Gunshots rang out continuously. Billy precisely hit the Tyrant's heart with his Magnum, and the exposed heart was pierced by bullets. The Tyrant only roared madly, not seeming to die immediately. It seemed this heart was for show, or perhaps a secondary heart, as a single heart couldn't guarantee the Tyrant's rapid movement.

While dodging bullets, the Tyrant quickly charged towards Svetlana, intending to find the easiest prey and eliminate it first!

Svetlana curved a slight smile of disdain. How dare it look down on her! She extended her right hand, precisely dodging the Tyrant's long claw attack, then spun around, positioning her feet for leverage, and with skillful force, she threw the Tyrant.

This wrestling move would make the thrown target lose its defensive state, landing in a clumsy, face-first fall!

Indeed, the powerful Tyrant also failed to control its landing force and fell in a clumsy, face-first posture.

Svetlana sneered, took out a grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it directly at the Tyrant's head, while she quickly dodged to the side.

Eddie also dodged behind an obstacle with Rebecca. With a loud bang, half of the Tyrant's head was blown off, yet it could still move.

Without hesitation, Eddie picked up his submachine gun and continuously attacked the Tyrant. The bullets accurately hit its head. After one magazine, thirty bullets completely blew off the Tyrant's head.

"Is it over?" Rebecca asked nervously.

Eddie, however, took out an incendiary grenade and threw it, completely incinerating the Tyrant. "I don't know, but if we burn it, this monster can't revive no matter what. The importance of a finishing blow is enough to affect the outcome!"

The conflict with the Tyrant lasted less than five minutes, but it had a profound impact on Eddie. His strength and speed surpassed ordinary people, but against the Tyrant, it was still not enough; even the lowest-grade Tyrant could not be defeated bare-handed.

Furthermore, he couldn't skillfully employ combat techniques, unable to manipulate the Tyrant's close-quarters combat with the effortless grace of Svetlana!

"Discouraged? Hmph, this monster's attacks are very simple, with hardly any technique. Strength is important, but more important than strength are combat techniques. You should really thank this monster for not letting you continue to be arrogant, or else you'd be dead!" Svetlana reprimanded him unceremoniously. If she didn't care, she wouldn't waste her breath.

Chapter 92: Karma Comes

Svetlana's words made Eddie realize that he was a human, not a bioweapon. Humans use skills, weapons, and thought. Comparing brute strength with a Tyrant was purely a waste of time, a pointless struggle!

"I'm not discouraged, you're overthinking it. I'm just wondering why such a monster would appear in Umbrella's Executive Training Center, a place for scientific experiments?" Eddie pondered, looking down.

Svetlana wouldn't believe Eddie's words. He was clearly a bit embarrassed by what she said, and deliberately changed the subject after his thoughts were exposed.

Eddie's performance was decent, but some aspects were still very poor. Svetlana wouldn't be satisfied; a weak man couldn't be the kind of man a strong woman would favor.

"We'll know if we keep investigating. I always feel like someone is watching us. Those cameras should be working normally, right?" Billy pointed to a nearby camera.

Bang! Eddie directly shot and blew up the camera. "Now they can't be used! Let's continue. I can feel that this place is very strange. What exactly is Umbrella hiding?"

"No matter what it is, we will arrest him and bring him to justice!" Rebecca, with the fearlessness of a newborn calf, encouraged herself.

Billy was not optimistic about these so-called super agents. The power of multinational corporations was too vast to be shaken by one or two people. "I support you all."

The four continued onward. At some doors that required keys, Eddie would rudely kick them open directly, not bothering to search for keys. There was no going around in a big circle only to return for a key; such things simply didn't happen. If the strength gained from the serum wasn't used to show off, then it was meaningless!

Marcus watched Eddie and his group's progress from the monitoring room. On the other side, he saw someone who had left an indelible mark on him! His student, Albert Wesker!

"Damn scumbag, how dare you show up again! Today I'll make you die!" Marcus became extremely furious, clearly recalling how he had been shot by his two favored disciples ten years ago. Now, seeing his enemy again, his eyes burned with hatred!

Wesker, who was advancing, suddenly felt something amiss above him and quickly dodged to the side. He saw a young man appear in his previous spot, looking somewhat familiar, but he couldn't recall who it was at once.

"Wesker!" Marcus roared in a low voice.

"What do you want with me? And who are you!" Wesker frowned. He didn't recognize this person.

"Hehe, I've come for revenge. Don't you remember me?" Marcus sneered, transforming his appearance from a young man to the elderly Marcus.

Wesker's heart leaped. Wasn't this the young man he and William had seen on the monitor earlier, who claimed to be seeking revenge on Umbrella? He hadn't expected it to be Marcus! "Weren't you dead?"

Marcus didn't seem to be in a hurry to kill Wesker, or perhaps it was because he had no one to talk to after his resurrection and wanted to say a few more words to satisfy his desire for revenge before finally killing his enemy. Everything would be perfect!

"T-Virus! The culmination of my life's research. You never expected me not to be dead, did you! Hehe, the T-Virus saved me, and the Leech Queen granted me even greater power, Wesker. Enjoy this power!" Marcus sneered and immediately launched an attack.

Wesker narrowly dodged Marcus's attack. He realized that the Marcus before him was now an existence comparable to a Tyrant-series bioweapon, just like that persistent Sergei.

At the same time, Marcus's words opened up a new world of understanding for Wesker. The T-Virus could actually bring people back to life, and by a fluke, they even retained their memories! Could this be Spencer's true research goal? But how would Spencer know? Was Spencer trying to resurrect his dead wife and son or something?

The more he thought about it, the more confused Wesker became. He found his questions multiplying.

Bang! A distracted Wesker was sent flying. Losing focus in this situation was asking for death!

"Wesker, you seem very weak. Tremble, be afraid! And then die for me!" Marcus laughed hideously.

Ding-dong! Marcus looked down at a small object thrown at him, only to see Wesker quickly dodge to the side.

The next second, flames erupted as the grenade exploded, blowing Marcus into several pieces, all of which were twisted, dead leeches.

This situation left Wesker incredibly puzzled. Leeches again?

Under Wesker's astonished gaze, the surrounding leeches began to gather again, reforming into Marcus. "I am immortal, you fool. Do you still think you can ambush me?"
