Bang! The Tyrant, taking a sniper bullet, was knocked back a few steps, then quickly lunged forward, striking with the back of its hand, sending Foster flying.
"Foster! Damn it, die, monster!" Enrico threw another grenade.
However, the Tyrant seemed to have grown smarter; it simply swatted the grenade away with its claw.
Everyone scrambled behind cover, and Eddie pulled Rebecca and Svetlana into another corridor, avoiding the aftermath of the grenade explosion.
Bang! This time, Richard, in an attempt to save Enrico, was once again sent flying by the Tyrant, seemingly with a broken arm!
Everyone attacked relentlessly, but Tyrant Zero Two was already formidable; the T-Virus's effects combined with special bio-modification allowed the Tyrant to easily withstand the power of most firearms.
Richard, in the helicopter, seemed to see the tragic state of his team members below. This time, he didn't flee but dropped a single-man four-tube rocket launcher. "Use this! Blow it up!"
Svetlana glanced at Eddie. "Don't you have a rocket launcher? Blow him up!"
Eddie shook his head. "This is good stuff, meant to save our lives, and rocket shells are easier to come by. That thing will work too. You cover me, I'll go get it."
Svetlana nodded. "Alright, I'll give you a chance to prove yourself."
"Eddie, be careful!" Rebecca could only offer encouragement; as a support staff member, asking her to fight was truly difficult.
While everyone attacked the Tyrant together, Svetlana stepped forward, continuously firing her submachine gun at the Tyrant, walking towards it as she shot.
"Roar!" Tyrant Zero Two, angered by the hits, could feel pain, and it absolutely perceived the woman attacking it with an unknown weapon as a huge threat.
Whoosh! The Tyrant's massive claw directly lunged and swiped at Svetlana's head, seemingly intending to smash Svetlana into a pulp.
Svetlana put down her submachine gun, her beautiful eyes widening, her concentration absolute. She could sense the Tyrant's speed had slowed, but not as much as the zombies; clearly, it was a bit faster due to its strength.
With an easy sidestep, she dodged the claw's swing, and before the Tyrant could follow up its first failed attack with a backhand strike, Svetlana executed a high kick, her hard combat boot landing on the Tyrant's arm joint, its weakest point, causing the Tyrant to instinctively crouch.
Then, fiercely, she pulled out a customized hand cannon magnum and fired a shot directly into the Tyrant's eye, blowing it out. Using the powerful recoil of the magnum, she executed a graceful backflip in mid-air, dodging the Tyrant's fatal claw attack.
The pained Tyrant became even more enraged, its body beginning to mutate, producing tough scales, and its arms growing longer and larger, its claws becoming even sharper.
Svetlana, however, showed no panic. As she retreated, she pulled out another magnum with her left hand, firing a shot into Tyrant Zero Two's knee, forcing the Tyrant to its knees. The kinetic energy bullet, powerful enough to kill an elephant, struck its knee, and even the Tyrant couldn't withstand it.
As the Tyrant knelt, Svetlana closed her left eye, keeping her right eye open, her beautiful gaze fixed only on the straight line from her magnum to the Tyrant's left eye, her expression incredibly focused.
Thud! A bullet flew from the magnum, leaving a trail of smoke in the air. In less than a second, it blew out Tyrant Zero Two's other intact eye.
Now, the Tyrant's eyes were completely disabled, turning it into a blind creature!
Svetlana's ferocity stunned everyone present. A woman with such courage, actually fighting the Tyrant head-on and crippling this monster that even submachine guns couldn't harm!
Eddie was also shocked. He hadn't expected Svetlana to be so formidable. Each time, she redefined his understanding. Was it really good for a woman to be so formidable? Could he handle it in the future? She was too fierce; would she be fighting with Aunt Wang every day? If everyone were as obedient as Rebecca, it might be a bit boring!
Eddie shook his head, discarding these random thoughts. What time was it, to be thinking about such irrelevant things? He picked up the rocket launcher and tossed it to Chris. "Here, aim and blast him to death! I'll follow up with an incendiary grenade!"
Chris was also battered. Suppressing his anger, he took the rocket launcher, aimed at the Tyrant, and pulled the trigger. "Die, monster!"
Whoosh! A rocket flew out, its fiery tail streaking across the sky, accurately hitting the Tyrant's exposed heart. In its most vulnerable spot, one shot blew the Tyrant to smithereens.
Wesker had been planning to hand over this Tyrant model to the new company, along with its combat data, to secure a good position for himself. Everything vanished into thin air with Chris's rocket. Even if he defected to the new company, he wouldn't hold a high position; such a turncoat was inherently unwelcome.
"No time to look, we need to get out of here quickly, it's unsafe and will explode. There are too many people, it's safer to go to the garage and leave by car." Eddie helped Rebecca up, and with Svetlana, they were the first to leave the Mansion, heading to the garage to choose an SUV to depart.
Chapter 110: Hero Saves Beauty
As everyone helped each other leave the Mansion, Wesker, in the underground laboratory, had already woken up. The pierced area had healed under the powerful effects of the serum. After a quick check, Wesker froze; he had become a eunuch!
His eyes turned incredibly bloodshot, like a monster. Wesker's mind was still quite firm; after realizing he had become a eunuch, he still suppressed his rage. It was that damned Tyrant's fault, hitting exactly where it shouldn't have.
Wesker, suppressing his fury, decided he could use his medical knowledge to repair it in the future; there should still be a chance for recovery, however slim. As long as there was hope, that was enough.
Standing up, Wesker threw his sunglasses to the ground, crushing them with his leather shoe. Suppressing his anger, he began to read the collected combat data on the computer, but the screen showed he didn't have sufficient authorization; his permissions had been revoked!
Wesker's first reaction was that Sergei had revoked his administrative permissions, preventing him from accessing the data. Although Wesker had witnessed the events, data without recordings had no persuasive power.
Bang! Wesker finally couldn't suppress his anger. He punched the computer, punching straight through it. "Sergei! I will make you pay!"
Especially when he saw in the video Chris blowing Tyrant Zero Two to pieces with a rocket. For a moment, Wesker thought he had no capital left to turn the tables. But then, an unconscious punch unleashed strength comparable to the Tyrant's, which filled Wesker with immense surprise.
"Starting today, I will make Umbrella and Sergei pay the price, just wait for me! Spencer, what exactly are you planning? I will make you die!" Wesker was still roaring, but when he heard the Mansion's self-destruct countdown, he left without looking back.
Since Lisa had already been captured by Eddie, Wesker encountered no major difficulties along the way. The few bio-organic monsters present could not cause significant casualties.
As Eddie drove the SUV, carrying Rebecca and Svetlana, they left the Mansion a certain distance behind. Other team members also drove away with the wounded, and Brad's helicopter provided escort in the sky.
Boom! With a deafening roar, the high-explosive charges blew the entire Mansion sky-high. All bio-weapons and monsters were reduced to ashes in the violent explosion.
The roaring blast wave nearly overturned the vehicles! This showed the immense power of the exploding Mansion. Who knew how many tons of high-explosives were buried beneath that structure!
Wesker's escape direction was diametrically opposite to that of the S.T.A.R.S. and the others, but their ultimate paths all led back to Raccoon City. Unless someone could survive without food or water, enduring the scorching heat, and crossing the vast desert.
"Finally escaped, phew, what a nightmare, it's good to be alive!" Richard let out a sigh of relief; the feeling of escaping death was truly good.
"Haha, you still have Eddie to thank, otherwise you wouldn't see your wife and newborn daughter." Edward teased; the feeling of escaping death was indeed exhilarating.
Eddie shouted through the car window, "Captain, you all take the cars back to Raccoon City first. Barry and I will take the helicopter to rescue his family. I still have fight left in me. You all go back and report to the chief."
Enrico pondered for a moment. "Alright, but you two must return safely."
Thanks to Eddie's care, no one in the S.T.A.R.S. died, though some became eunuchs and others were injured. It wasn't a perfect outcome. Eddie hadn't expected a perfect rescue, and even the rescue itself was for future utilization; if there was no value, what was the point of saving them? Playing the saint was not a good thing; it was quite idiotic.
Rebecca also wanted to go along, but Eddie stopped her. "Rebecca, your current state requires rest. Seriously, excessive fatigue is not good for you."
"Alright, but you absolutely must come back alive!" Rebecca said worriedly.
"Don't worry, I'll definitely live well! Just have dinner ready and wait for me to come back." Eddie smiled, taking Svetlana with him onto the helicopter. Guided by Barry, Brad piloted the helicopter towards the designated location.
The place where Barry's family was kidnapped was a mountain forest near Raccoon City. The inherent danger wasn't great, but there was still a risk of attack from virus-infected monsters.
In front of a wooden cabin, Barry was the first to rappel down from the helicopter, grabbing his magnum and becoming alert. "Moira! Polly, darling, I'm here, don't be nervous, I'll save you."
Eddie also picked up his submachine gun, wearing infrared goggles. He could see that there were no other people inside the house, only three individuals, presumably Barry's wife and two daughters.
"There's no one else inside. Let's go in first. It's also very dangerous out here. The sooner we rescue them, the sooner we can go back." Eddie looked at the shadows in the surrounding forest, always feeling as if something was lurking.
"I also feel something's off. It's best to be careful." Svetlana also frowned; this was the intuition of an elite warrior!
The wooden door was locked with a chain. Barry directly fired two shots at the chain, trying to break it, but there wasn't much change. It deformed, but breaking it wasn't such an exaggerated effect.
"Barry, step aside, let me!" Eddie directly delivered a roundhouse kick, smashing the wooden door. This wooden door could stop ordinary people, but it couldn't stop the enhanced Eddie. Did they really underestimate his strength?
As the wooden cabin door was kicked open, Barry rushed in immediately, seeing his wife and two daughters tied up. And at the bar, a man was sitting in a chair.
Untying Moira, Moira hurriedly said, "He's the one who kidnapped us. He just sat there and fell asleep. We don't know what's wrong with him."
