Chapter 67 - 67

Svetlana appropriately stopped Barry and said, "He's just trying to provoke you, to make you angry so you won't kill yourself. You're so foolish. He saved you; you should be thanking him!"

It was then that everyone suddenly understood. So that was it. Otherwise, they would have suspected that this was something Eddie had wanted to do for a long time but hadn't.

"Eddie, even though you've saved me a few times, I still have to tell you, don't have bad thoughts just because Jill isn't here. That's not good at all!" Richard said righteously.

Edward also nodded, "That's right! Even if we do, we should say it quietly in private. How can we say it in public!"

Alright, these old drivers, they actually thought of covering for each other. Truly worthy teammates!

Rebecca, however, had a strange expression. She highly suspected whether Eddie really had such intentions. If he hadn't thought about it, he wouldn't have said such words. What one thinks about during the day, one dreams about at night!

Eddie coughed awkwardly, "Alright, don't be nervous. I was just joking. I just saw the atmosphere was a bit awkward, that's all. Don't take it seriously!"

"What! Are you trying to shirk responsibility, you brat?" Barry was even more furious. Play around and then run off?

At this moment, Enrico, who had just been held hostage, was a bit helpless and could only step forward as a peacemaker, "Alright, old man, Barry, calm down. It's nothing. I trust Eddie's character. He's the kind of person who, even if he did it, would definitely admit it. It's nothing, nothing, don't get angry!"

Just as the atmosphere became a bit strange and awkward, Svetlana snorted, "Are you mistaken? We are still in danger right now, and you're debating such things. Where has your tactical discipline gone?"

This question made everyone feel very ashamed. Only Eddie secretly gave Svetlana a thumbs up. This woman was indeed incredibly intelligent, knowing what reason to use to help him out. If he really married her, she would definitely be a virtuous and generous wife, provided he could keep Svetlana in check.

Svetlana, however, turned her head and snorted, "Hmph, this man... this is not how you use a provocation, unless he already had such thoughts in his mind."

Everyone made a plan. This time, it was about acting and division of labor: who would cover the rear, how to escape quickly, and so on.

No one knew what was in that laboratory, or what kind of threats they would face.

Wesker was already waiting in the laboratory. He knew that Barry had gone to threaten the S.T.A.R.S. members. With so many members, they could definitely test out the optimal combat data! Especially the Tyrant Zero Two prototype still in the culture tank!

Chapter 108: Feigned Death Becomes a Eunuch

The combat data for the Tyrant already existed, but that was for the Ivan-type Tyrant, controlled by Spencer and Sergei. Advanced Tyrants naturally couldn't be compared to mass-produced models, so collecting data for ordinary Tyrants became especially important.

And this kind of data was not only absent from Umbrella but even more so from other rival companies. If they could sell this data to buyers as soon as possible, they could definitely get a good price. This was almost a sure-profit business; it just depended on how much they could earn.

Wesker looked at the mutated virus strain William had given him, and a hint of determination flashed in his eyes behind his sunglasses. He had to leave Umbrella. This multinational corporate ship, which had sailed for decades, was already riddled with holes. If he didn't leave soon, he would sink with it.

Moreover, after being discovered secretly collecting Sergei and Marcus's combat data, Wesker knew he wouldn't get off easy. Leaving quickly was the right choice.

Before this, Eddie and his group unexpectedly missed Sergei. Sergei had just recovered the cultured Tyrant prototype for the Talos Project after Alpha Team arrived at the Mansion.

As he stepped out, he encountered several out-of-control Hunters and Zombie Dogs, which seemed to surround him and another Ivan-type Tyrant carrying the prototype, treating them as food.

"Hmph! Failed, trashy species, trying to survive?" Sergei's expression was incredibly playful.

A Zombie Dog launched the first charge, leaping up, its foul-smelling fangs accurately biting Sergei. The Tyrant behind him, carrying a massive object, quickly threw a punch, and the immense force actually smashed the Zombie Dog's head!

Sergei also directly grabbed the attacking Hunter, cruelly crushing the Hunter's head. His expression, however, was very excited, clearly feeling immense pleasure from the slaughter. The side effects brought by the T-Virus were particularly evident!

The formidable Sergei directly fought his way out, using himself as a test subject to personally evaluate the combat effectiveness of various bio-weapons, which had great reference significance for future improvements and the abandonment of unsuitable bio-weapons.

On the other side, Eddie and the others finally finished their discussion. Foster would go to the garage to find a suitable bus, and after everyone had dealt with things here, they would leave by bus.

Chris awkwardly mentioned that Brad, their team's pilot, had fled. In contrast, Dury, Bravo Team's pilot, had remained steadfast to the end. The difference was immediately apparent.

Everyone came to the laboratory, which was filled with culture tanks. Many of them contained Tyrants in cultivation, as well as Hunters and various strange weapons, looking very eerie.

Before everyone entered, Wesker silently injected himself. He felt a chill, and a tremor—this was a craving for power. The key to fully activating his power was ready to unlock!

"Wesker! I've brought the people!" Barry entered, holding Enrico and the others hostage.

Wesker nodded, "Very good, Barry, you've done well. You can go. Your family will be safe, in the Arklay Mountains. You can go see how they are doing when you have time!"

"Wesker! If anything happens to them, I'll make your life a living hell!" Barry angrily left the laboratory. His mission was complete.

Wesker smiled without a word, controlling the computer to release the solution from a culture tank. "You've finally arrived. Excellent. Let me show you Umbrella's most outstanding product, this truly meaningful Tyrant!"

"Wesker, you won't escape. You will face the judgment of the law!" Enrico snorted. He was surprisingly not killed by Wesker, all because someone was protecting him at the time.

"Is that so? Eddie, do you think so too? You also came from Umbrella; we are all the same!" Wesker said mockingly. Since he was going down, he might as well throw some dirt at this mysterious guy.

Eddie waved his hand, indicating "screw Wesker!" "Don't give me that. I'm not like you, you lunatic. I only like investing in stocks and dating these beautiful women, living the good life. Isn't living well enough?" He finished, putting his arms around Svetlana and Rebecca's shoulders, acting hard.

Svetlana raised an eyebrow but didn't object. She knew very well that Eddie was acting; public opinion could sometimes kill a person.

"Heh heh, whether you are or not, you will die here. Witness the greatest product, witness the power of science!" Wesker, completely unguarded, turned his back to everyone, watching the awakening Tyrant.

This ugly Tyrant still had the exposed heart flaw, but its decomposition was greatly reduced, its face ferocious. Its right hand was like a normal person's, but its left hand was shaped like a claw.

Bang! Driven by violent instinct, the awakened Tyrant directly shattered the glass, plunging a claw straight through Wesker, lifting him up as if his spine had broken, then flung him aside like trash.

Then he turned to look at the members of the S.T.A.R.S., his eyes filled with immense brutality, as if he wanted to destroy anything in his path!

"What the hell is that thing?" Richard asked, puzzled.

"What it is doesn't matter, let's just leave first." Eddie directly threw a grenade and ran.

Everyone's scalps tingled. Using a grenade indoors, this lunatic!

The Tyrant prototype stepped on the grenade and then directly placed a claw on it.

Boom! An explosion rang out. The Tyrant was blasted to the ground, covered in damage, shrapnel embedded in its bones. And one piece of shrapnel, by chance, flew directly towards Wesker, officially declaring the fact that Wesker had become a eunuch!

After escaping the laboratory, Eddie slammed the door shut, and the group quickly fled towards the outside of the Mansion. The sky was already brightening; it was already early morning. Six hours had passed since Alpha Team entered the Arklay Mountains.

The previous monsters had mostly been cleared out, so there weren't too many incidents during their retreat. Occasionally, a few clueless spiders and mutated moths appeared, but they were shot down from a distance with two shots.

"Just ahead, the garage is just ahead, hold on," Enrico shouted loudly.

Chapter 109: The Strong Woman Who Can Solo a Tyrant

At this moment, the surrounding speakers emitted the sound of a self-destruct sequence activating, along with a countdown. For some reason, the equipment here just self-destructed without any warning.

"Strange, why did the self-destruct device start?" Eddie asked, puzzled.

"Who cares, we just run," Edward replied. At this time, if they didn't run, were they going to stay for the New Year?

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! The sound of a helicopter's propellers came from the sky. Looking up, they saw a conspicuous S.T.A.R.S. logo etched on the aircraft.

It seemed that Brad, who had fled, had returned. Was it a pang of conscience, or did he buckle under pressure after going back? Marvin had been stationed at the police station, and Brad, who had deserted, would definitely be interrogated upon his return.

Thud! At this moment, the ground cracked, and the horribly blasted Tyrant Zero Two once again climbed out of the broken ground. Its injured parts were already starting to repair themselves.

"It's this damned thing again!" Foster picked up his sniper rifle and fired a shot. Whether from fear or to psych himself up, the Tyrant, over two and a half meters tall, was indeed awe-inspiring, making one feel dwarfed when facing it.
