Chapter 119 - 119

"Of course, you need to be careful. Besides the residents who have turned into zombies, there are other strange creatures. We don't have many people, and we need to maintain the defensive line," Marvin said solemnly.

"Of course, we will be careful. To be battle-hardened and to walk on the edge of death is our destiny," Mikhail said without fear. With a wave of his hand, he led over a hundred of his subordinates into the abandoned northern part of Raccoon City.

Because it was daytime, a large number of zombies and Zombie Dogs were walking in the suburbs of Raccoon City. Among them were also many walking plant monsters, products of T-Virus modification that had been abandoned due to a lack of practical combat data.

Near the gas station, the Federation's Guard cleared the wire barricades. Nearly seven military trucks advanced from the Highway towards Raccoon City. These Guard members were going to reinforce Raccoon City, and there were also some intelligence officers collecting information.

In the last truck, four members of the Echo Six Team were sitting in the compartment, accompanying the Guard into Raccoon City. It was not suitable to directly take a helicopter during the day; the special forces' combat method was to shoot quietly, not to push forward like a legion.

Twenty minutes after the trucks left, a large number of zombies suddenly appeared from the Arklay Mountains, moving towards the Guard's defensive line. Their tattered clothes, limping gait, and bloody stench all indicated the unusual nature of these creatures.

A squad team leader spotted the horde of zombies approaching and immediately shouted into the walkie-talkie, "Command, this is Seagull Two. Unknown enemies detected, suspected cannibal cultists. Request orders for engagement."

"Command received. Open fire with full force! Not a single fly is allowed to escape your defensive line! Repeat, open fire with full force! Not a single fly is allowed to escape your defensive line!" Static crackled from Command.

"Received, received!" The team leader hung up the phone and yelled, "Open fire with full force, men! Don't let a single fly get away!"

Tat-tat-tat! The sound of machine guns quickly erupted. The fragile zombies were no match for a regular legion; they were riddled with holes from a great distance. Even if they weren't hit in the head, and their limbs were crippled, these zombies still snarled and crawled on the ground.

This scene made the soldiers, who were seeing zombies for the first time, feel their scalps tingle. Such a bizarre phenomenon was truly something they had never witnessed before.

Whoosh, whoosh! Over a dozen Zombie Dogs quickly darted through the horde of zombies. Their remaining hunting instincts led these Zombie Dogs to hide within the horde, biding their time to launch a charge.

The machine guns quickly targeted these Zombie Dogs, but the Zombie Dogs were too fast, unlike the slow-moving zombies.

After ten Zombie Dogs were riddled with bullets, five still managed to break through the defensive line, deftly leaping into the perimeter. Three were shot dead by soldiers who reacted in time.

The other two directly severed the major arteries of two Guards, killing them instantly, and then furiously tore into them to feed. They were subsequently shot dead by nearby soldiers, who continued to riddle them with bullets out of sheer anger.

"Damn it, Niko, Foucault! Medics, go, save them! Everyone else, eliminate those monsters with full force!" The Black team leader appeared furious. Two men died in an instant; this was a disgrace that must be washed away with the enemy's blood!

Thud! The defensive line was suddenly struck hard. The prototype Tyrant from beneath the Executive Training Center had surprisingly reappeared! It had clearly been defeated, yet the T-Virus's formidable regenerative power was proving incredibly exaggerated.

Its right hand was a massive claw, which could even be described as a long sword. If held straight, it would be an internationally recognized gesture of contempt!

The claw pierced through the sandbags, impaling a Guard member. It then withdrew the claw, leaping into the defensive line to slaughter. Its rapid movement and savage instincts were displayed to their fullest.

However, the soldiers within the defensive line dared not fire freely, because their own teammates were behind the prototype Tyrant. Striking one's own teammates was absolutely forbidden!

Due to the prototype Tyrant's involvement, the Guard's defensive line began to waver for the first time.

Chapter 199: Nikolai, Thanatos Tyrant

Less than twenty-four hours after the defensive line was established, it encountered a large-scale zombie attack. The zombies from the northern region were led here by a strange coincidence, and it was unclear whether this happened naturally or was intentionally guided by Umbrella personnel.

At the same time, Nikolai also led his few team members to Raccoon City University. There were only two squads here, about twelve people, with another squad searching for clues in University Town.

The remaining personnel had been assigned to assist in the defense of the line near the Umbrella building. Nikolai's mission was to come to this vicinity to search for Dr. Mueller, the Umbrella senior research director who had previously gone missing, and also Suzuki Yoko's former superior.

Meanwhile, Jeddingham, the leader of the Echo Six Team, arrived in University Town with three team members. They were here to escort an important researcher to safety.

A team member spotted the four distinct individuals and immediately said into the walkie-talkie, "Suspicious individuals spotted, they are Federal Marine Corps."

"Keep an eye on them, send over the coordinates!" Nikolai responded immediately.

However, with a faint sound, the walkie-talkie lost contact. Nikolai knew that was the sound a silenced pistol makes when hitting the brain. This meant the team member had been discovered!

"Hmph, as expected of the Marine Corps, their strength cannot be underestimated. I wonder which squad it is? Let your heads become one of my achievements!" Nikolai sneered, then gestured to his subordinates to head into University Town.

Sienna walked out in a woman's dress, holstered her pistol, and made a gesture, "Here!"

Only after the four members of Echo Team arrived did she huff, "You're a bit slow. Other spies were about to discover us just now. Follow me."

From the specialized building of the Medical University, they descended through a corridor to a laboratory. The laboratory had a secret door, which led to an underground laboratory. This was for concealment, not a decision by Umbrella, but rather by the professor who conducted experiments here, who simply did not want to be disturbed.

In the underground laboratory of the Medical University, Dr. Mueller was laughing as he looked at the Tyrant in the cultivation tank before him. A timer next to it showed exactly three minutes remaining. This was the countdown to the Tyrant's completion. As the most perfect Tyrant, this Thanatos Tyrant, designed from the very beginning, possessed the highest combat and killing ability than the current Tyrant series, and its strength was also considerable.

"Excellent, my Thanatos has finally begun, hehe, Umbrella, Sergei, I knew you would send people to catch me! I will make you all regret it!" Dr. Mueller sneered.

Whoosh, the laboratory door opened. Dr. Mueller didn't even look. He was very confident, "Have Umbrella's people arrived?"

"Yes, Doctor, is your experiment complete? We need to evacuate. I am Jeddingham, the leader of the Echo Six Team. There are many riot activities in Raccoon City; it's too dangerous here," Captain Jeddingham said.

"No rush, wait for those Umbrella people to find us. Do you have a camera? Then find a good position and record this miraculous scene!" Dr. Mueller sneered.

The Medical University currently doesn't have many students. Due to the holiday, most students have left Raccoon City, except for a few who live in dorms. Moreover, with the recent news of riots, the precinct is trying hard to suppress it, but citizens aren't fools. They leave if they can, and will only return once the situation stabilizes.

"What? Doctor, what do you intend to do?" Jeddingham asked.

"You'll see. You're the captain? You'll have quite a show to watch soon," Dr. Mueller sneered, then pressed a crimson button and entered a series of codes into the computer.

The solution in the culture tank continued to drop. The grotesque Black man's exposed heart began to beat frantically, supplying ample blood to his muscles. His pale eyes began to open, all white, without a trace of pupil. His eyes were connected to chips in his brain.

The Black Tyrant seemed to be observing Dr. Mueller. The order he received was to protect the man in front of him. Then, his eyes fiercely looked at the members of the Echo Six Team. His two massive arms slammed against the glass, and the glass shattered with a crash.

Sienna, with a hint of uncertainty, raised her gun at the Thanatos Tyrant. The others were also tense, only Captain Jeddingham asked, "Doctor, what are you trying to do?" He had never seen a Tyrant and was somewhat confused as to what this thing was.

"Don't be nervous, you are guests, I won't harm you, hehe, I'm not so reckless as to go against the Western Federation," Dr. Mueller scoffed, "So, you can put your guns down."

The Thanatos Tyrant also received different orders and abandoned its hostility towards the six people, walking on the ground without making a sound. This alone proved that this model of Tyrant was indeed the current pinnacle, comparable only to the Ivan-type Tyrant developed by Sergei's team.

Outside the Medical University, Nikolai had found a professor on duty at the school. After inquiring about an underground biological laboratory, he shot the professor. "Go to the Medical University building, we've found the target."

A squad of six, they didn't encounter any other students on the way, and Raccoon City was currently under alert, so seeing people carrying guns wasn't strange. After all, in the free Federation, gunfights happen every day.

Nikolai, being cunning, hid himself, sending his subordinates to besiege and capture Dr. Mueller. He already knew that the other party possessed an advanced Tyrant product. His mission was to collect combat data of the Thanatos Tyrant and recover samples; it would be even better if he could obtain tangible items like blood.

The squad members arrived in front of the building. Standing there was a Black man over two meters two tall, but unlike ordinary people, his heart was exposed, and he wore only a pair of shorts, looking very strange, as if he was a wack (strange person) with some peculiar illness.

Sensing someone approaching, the Black Tyrant opened his eyes. In an instant, a chilling aura emerged.

On the university rooftop, Sienna was recording everything with a camera. Since Dr. Mueller told her to film, she couldn't miss it; this was something valuable that could be exchanged for money.

Nikolai, meanwhile, was quietly watching from a room in a building outside the university, completely unconcerned that his subordinates were facing the strongest weapon in the T-Virus series, a Tyrant!

Chapter 200: The Wiped-Out Special Squad

Nikolai picked up a special sniper rifle, equipped with a blood extractor. His gaze was incredibly sharp. Once he confirmed he could hit, he directly pulled the trigger, and the extractor was propelled out by the bullet at an extremely fast speed.

The speed was too fast for normal people to react, but the Thanatos Tyrant directly extended his claw, striking the very first instant Nikolai fired. He caught the extractor in his hand, squeezed it hard, and the delicate extractor instantly turned into a crumpled piece of scrap metal!

"Attack!" the squad leader shouted, then immediately aimed his submachine gun at the Thanatos Tyrant. Bullets poured out wildly, striking the Tyrant's body. The bullets deformed on impact, leaving only slight white marks on the Tyrant. Any areas that were occasionally penetrated quickly healed.
