The Tyrant's arm was shattered by the immense force, and Jessica also grunted, her eyes turning crimson. She gripped her right hand where it was aching slightly, twisted it, and reset the injured area.
The Tyrant directly knelt on one knee, seemingly ceasing all life functions. The T-Virus actively repaired the irreversible damage the Tyrant had sustained, temporarily halting its movement.
Eddie ran over, took out a bottle of special serum, and injected Jessica, not bothering with her crimson eyes. "There's no need to use that move."
"For you, everything is worth it. I'm fine, I just need a little time to recover. Whoever hurts you, I'll kill them!" Jessica's crimson eyes gradually returned to normal. This only happened when the serum's effects were activated, similar to why Wesker always needed to wear sunglasses—to conceal them.
However, Jessica was better than Wesker in that her eyes only turned red when she exerted extreme strength, and she could still maintain her sanity, never doing anything reckless. The biggest difference was that even if Wesker hadn't been hit by shrapnel, he would have gradually become a eunuch under the serum's influence.
Wesker's illegitimate son was born before he used the serum given by Dr. William; he merely inherited his antiviral physique and a tiny bit of the Progenitor Virus mutant strain's abilities.
"I know, but sometimes you can solve it with the least cost, without even getting hurt yourself. You don't have a masochistic tendency, do you? That's not good!" Eddie quipped.
Jessica smiled radiantly and shook her head, "No, isn't there still you? I know you won't let anything happen to me. You are the most important person to me, and then Lisa."
"Haha, you are also the most important person to me. Next time, be smarter, don't pay the price of injury to deal with enemies; it's not worth it. Let's go, we still have to move on. Also, next time, let me have my fill first. It's rare to encounter a Tyrant like this." Eddie put away the test tube. This was a healing agent, only effective for those enhanced by the serum, and very potent.
Claire watched, a little dazed. That woman seemed to have a very good relationship with Eddie.
Svetlana walked over in high heels, "Don't overthink it. Jessica was framed by Umbrella and fell into a thirty-two-year slumber. Eddie saved her. She was conscious the whole time. It sounds incredible, but not everything in the world needs to be scientific. If it does, it's just because we don't understand it yet."
"That last sentence is very true, did you think of it yourself?" Claire nodded. After a brief understanding, she felt great sympathy for Jessica and the unseen Lisa. Such torment was too pitiful.
Svetlana shook her head, "No, Eddie said it. Let's go, we need to catch up. This isn't the place for talking."
Things seemed to be getting more and more interesting. Svetlana almost didn't want to leave. Such an exciting life was hard to come by again.
Exiting the underground parking lot, this was another street. The reason no one entered or exited from here was because there was a very sturdy password-locked gate, whose password was controlled by Chief Brian. Others simply didn't have the authority to do so.
If it were a newcomer like Leon, he would definitely be searching everywhere for keys and access cards, wandering around a map full of zombies.
Eddie didn't need such trouble. He directly grabbed the middle part of the rolling shutter door, continuously exerting force with his right hand. The distributed force spread throughout the entire rolling shutter door, and finally, with a push, the entire rolling shutter door was pried open and fell to the ground, becoming a bit of recyclable scrap metal!
Such a violent way of opening a door, besides Eddie, only Tyrants would do it.
If the painstaking research and development of body-enhancing serum wasn't for showing off (gestation), then strength would be meaningless!
Chapter 218: This is Ms. Frolay
There were still residual zombies on the street, not because they had been eliminated, but because this area was still relatively close to the police station and some had been eliminated by snipers. Most of the other zombies had been attracted to Raccoon Street, ten kilometers away, resulting in fewer zombies here.
However, as Raccoon City's mixed forces were defeated, the spread of zombies would continue to expand, eventually leading to the entire city being overrun by zombies.
To get to the orphanage, one had to pass through a commercial street before reaching a relatively secluded area, finally arriving at the orphanage. As for why Brian would be there, no one knew.
Arriving at Crescent Street, the streets here curved like a crescent moon, hence the name Crescent Street. This was a rare civilian market where goods were inexpensive, perfect for civilian consumption, characterized by good quality and low prices.
Eddie found a coffee shop where the chairs were all scattered. With the crisis, the owner was likely gone, possibly dead or turned into a zombie.
"You guys make a cup of coffee here and wait for me for ten minutes. I'll scout ahead; I'm faster. Claire, I need you to do us a favor and make as many hamburgers as possible. We expend a lot of energy and need to replenish more food," Eddie instructed.
"No problem, I'll try my best to make some hamburgers. You be careful, don't overdo it. If it's too much, we'll go together. It's okay to be a little slower." Claire was very understanding. For just searching, she was actually very strong, but if she wasn't needed, ensuring her own safety was the best help to her teammates.
"Do you need me to go with you?" Svetlana raised an eyebrow.
Eddie shook his head, "No need, you rest. I have a hunch that we'll have another fierce battle when we get to the orphanage later."
"Your prediction is certainly not good news, but I enjoy challenging those monsters!" Svetlana smiled, picking up a dagger and making a gesture. She firmly believed that cold weapons were not inferior in power.
"I'll go with you!" Jessica said coldly.
"Good, let's go. No time to lose, we need to leave quickly." Eddie finished speaking, found a decent hamburger, and ate it as he walked.
There were still many zombies on Crescent Street. Perhaps the relatively enclosed environment prevented many zombies from flowing out.
"Finding a hamburger shop is really troublesome, and a fruit hamburger at that. Can fruit be made into a hamburger? I've never eaten one. When I get back, I want to eat a fruit pizza, preferably a durian pizza!" Eddie mumbled, picking up two baseball bats and beginning his journey of beating zombies.
Jessica followed behind, also holding two steel pipes. "If you want to eat it, I'll make it for you when we get back. If I don't know how, I'll learn!"
"If we get back, I'll tell you directly what I want to eat. If I can't say for sure, I might want to eat meat, and I might eat you!" Eddie quipped, swinging his baseball bat and smashing the heads of the three zombies lunging at them.
"Eat me? I'm not tasty. I'll make you something delicious instead. I don't believe you'd eat me." Jessica didn't understand the joke and instead thought about it very seriously, then with a backhand swing of a steel pipe, she killed a Raging Zombie.
Both of them were enhanced, and Jessica was even more so than Eddie. Like a bulldozer, they flattened the street.
In the middle of the street was a small commercial building. Inside, a shop called Fruit Pizza could be seen.
The two entered through the lobby, which was still full of zombies. Even in the dark, Eddie could clearly see the grotesque zombies. These zombies were missing some parts, looking as if they had been eaten alive.
Bang! An ordinary kick sent a zombie flying like a projectile, momentarily stopping the advance of the surrounding zombies, whose heads were then smashed by two baseball bats. If it weren't to prevent these zombies from turning into Raging Zombies and causing trouble, Eddie wouldn't have wanted to waste time.
Killing their way through, Eddie was already stained with a lot of blood, and Jessica was the same. The number of zombies they had killed already exceeded three hundred. Occasionally, a few Raging Zombies were also struck down by Eddie with a single blow before they could attack him; their strength was simply not on the same level.
Arriving on the sixth floor, the zombies here became somewhat sparse, seemingly not many people came to visit. From a distance, they could see that the Fruit Pizza shop was already closed, and the neighboring shops all had various signs of struggle and large amounts of bloodstains.
Arriving at the storefront, Eddie knocked on the door, "Is anyone there? Is Ms. Frolay in? Francis asked me to find someone. If you're in, answer me. I have other things to do."
Jessica sniffed her delicate nose, pointing her elegant finger at the Fruit Pizza shop and saying, "There's someone in the back. That person didn't make a sound."
"Excuse me, is Ms. Frolay still here? I'm Eddie, a medic from the S.T.A.R.S.. If there's anyone alive, please answer. This place will soon be blown up to purify the streets and kill those damned zombies." Eddie could only bluff. In fact, there would be an explosion, but it wouldn't be dynamite; it would be a high-temperature thermobaric bomb similar to a nuclear bomb!
A soft female voice came, "Are you real? Where is my son?"
"Francis was eating at a Western restaurant when he encountered a zombie attack. I escorted them to the helicopter evacuation point. He should be sent out of the city. Are you coming out or not? I still have to go to the orphanage, I'm very busy. If you want to stay inside, just let us know, and I'll explain the situation to him later." Eddie was getting a bit impatient.
"No, I'm coming out." The small rolling shutter door opened, and a very slender Black woman emerged, dressed quite fashionably, wearing large earrings. She didn't look at all like a mother with a son in his twenties; she just appeared mature, making it hard to estimate her age.
"Are you from the Raccoon City branch?" the slender, fashionable Black woman asked.
"Yes, I'm Eddie, a former member of the S.T.A.R.S.. Are you Ms. Frolay?" Eddie's expression was a bit strange. He had expected an older woman, but instead, it was a dark skinned beauty, which was a bit unexpected and delightful.
Chapter 219: Bullet Time, Evolution and Mutation
Flora took a small step back in fear, "What do you want to do?"
Eddie shrugged, "Don't worry, I'm not a good person. I'm just here to find you at someone's request. Now, do you want to evacuate with us?"
Flora hesitated for a moment, "Are you going to the orphanage? I don't want to go there."
"Why?" Eddie was a bit curious.
"That place has a lot of monsters. I've heard many people say there are terrifying monsters there, even scarier than those man-eating lunatics." Flora's expression was fearful, as if she had encountered something horrifying.
"Monsters? What do you mean? Tell me about it. I have to go there. Don't worry, I'm very good at fighting, better than your man!" Eddie grabbed a table and easily broke the iron table.
This monstrous strength seemed incredible to Flora. "I don't have a boyfriend. The orphanage is rumored to be a cursed place where children often disappear for no reason. And during this time, many people have seen monsters there, but Chief Brian of the branch has always refused to accept such claims, saying it's nonsense."
