Chapter 132 - 132

Meanwhile, in the underground parking lot of the Raccoon City branch, the T-03 Tyrant, knocked unconscious by Jessica's punch, began to awaken. Its right arm was strangely twisted; the serum's restorative effects wouldn't correct broken bone structures, and the Tyrant couldn't feel pain.

Through the opened rolling shutter door, two Lickers crept in, eyeing the injured Tyrant. Such a large creature would be an excellent source of energy for them!

The Lickers attacked first, but the awakened Tyrant directly slammed one Licker into the ground with its left fist, creating a deep crater and killing it with a single blow! The other was pulled over by its elongated proboscis on its right hand, then a large foot lifted and stomped it to death!

Chapter 221: Three People, There Must Be Something Fishy

In the apartment, Jill looked at the city ablaze. Zombies were everywhere. "We need to get some people out first. What's the escape route Eddie told you to prepare, Karena?"

Wolf Mother changed out of her high heels, preparing to switch to special combat boots. She wouldn't wear high heels if her man didn't like them; they were especially awkward and inconvenient. "It's on the rooftop. Two helicopters should be enough, but I don't recommend leaving now. Visibility is very poor at night, and there are also crow attacks."

"Rebecca and Katherine should go first. Have Suzuki Yoko and the others provide support. I'll go find Emma and Moira; I can't reach them," Jill said, outlining her plan.

"Let's ask Eddie first. I received a message that Umbrella has dispatched a Tyrant bio-weapon called Nemesis to hunt down those in the know, including members of the S.T.A.R.S.. It's very dangerous for you to go out now. You'd best ask Eddie," Alyssa, the reporter, handed over a tablet.

Jill looked at the information on the computer, frowning. From the data, Nemesis's combat capability was extremely powerful, even somewhat abnormal.

"They're preparing to eliminate the informants who escaped from the mansion, and with Raccoon City in this state, it's the perfect time for experiments," Christine Yamata said indifferently, leaning against the wall. Tall and model-like, if she walked down the street, the men trying to hit on her could form a reinforced regiment.

"Then Eddie will also be in danger. I'll call him and ask," Jill picked up her phone and dialed.

Eddie, who had just arrived in front of the orphanage, answered the phone. It was three in the morning. "What's up, wife?"

"Husband, Umbrella has sent a weapon called Nemesis to hunt down former members of the S.T.A.R.S., and you're on the list. Your situation is very dangerous. You must come back immediately, and we'll leave together," Jill's worried voice came through.

"Now that you mention it, I almost forgot. Tell Suzuki Yoko and January to hack into Raccoon City's surveillance system and see where Nemesis is currently. Once its whereabouts are confirmed, you can take the helicopter to leave. Take Katherine and Alyssa with you. I'll go find Emma and Moira after I've dealt with things here," Eddie instructed.

It was already time to evacuate. There was nothing to miss here. Stay here to kill zombies and show off? Completely unnecessary, and without women, who would he be showing off to?

"What about you? When are you leaving? It's very dangerous in Raccoon City," Jill worried. She had never been so concerned about a man's safety.

"I'll leave, but not now. Don't worry, with me here, no one can harm me. After you leave, leave Lisa behind. I'll have Jessica go back and pick someone up. I met someone in the building who asked me to save his mother," Eddie briefly explained what had happened earlier.

"Alright, be careful. I'll have Suzuki Yoko and the others confirm Nemesis's situation first," Jill said before hanging up. She was well aware of Jessica and Lisa's strength and trusted them both. They were merely bodyguards who sought no conflict, posing no threat to her position, and no one could threaten it.

After hanging up, Eddie patted his head. "I forgot to ask you just now, Claire, do you want to go back to the apartment first? We have a helicopter that can leave Raccoon City. I still have things to do. You can leave first and then ask your brother about the situation in a few days."

Claire shook her head. "No, don't you have things to do? I can accompany you. Didn't you say we're good friends? We should help each other. I can help you."

Claire's personality wasn't one to flee in the face of danger. Also, having been rescued by Eddie multiple times during this period, Claire was very grateful and wanted to do something to help him.

"Alright, suit yourself, silly woman!" Eddie said, smiling as he flicked Claire's forehead, then turned to the tall, slender, model-like Flore and said, "You follow my wife and leave Raccoon City first. Afterwards, you need to fulfill your promise and work for me for a period of time."

A period of time? Probably a lifetime, right? After discovering Eddie's secret, Flore couldn't escape. She would either become one of them or become a dead person.

"I understand. You be careful," Flore said, lowering her head, her expression devoid of sorrow or joy. She couldn't do anything; she was just a weak woman, a pathetic single mother.

"Jessica, you take her back to the apartment. You can drive. After you get back, wait for Jill and the others to get on the helicopter, then bring Lisa back. Keep your headset on so I can contact you," Eddie instructed.

"You be careful!" Jessica said, then pushed Flore into the car, got in herself, and floored the accelerator, speeding off so fast it felt like being on a high-speed train.

After Jessica left, only Eddie, Claire, and Svetlana remained.

"Why didn't you ask if I wanted to leave first?" Svetlana teased.

"We agreed to live and die together, so don't even think about running off," Eddie teased back. With a capable older sister bodyguard, he wasn't afraid even if he encountered the mutated William.

Svetlana pulled out her magnum. "Save those words for coaxing Claire. I'm not falling for that."

Despite her words, Svetlana was in a very cheerful mood, even curving her lips into a charming smile.

Claire was a bit flustered. She hadn't reached that stage. She had a good impression, but nothing more. It was too early to be talking like this. "You're joking."

"Let's go, we're going in," Eddie said, taking out his pistol and kicking open the door, entering the main hall.

Several pure white zombies appeared. These were another variant of zombie, mutated to have rapid regeneration, making them much harder to kill than other zombies.

Eddie used a roundhouse kick again, but surprisingly, he kicked off the heads of these zombies. This was clearly the same as before, so had his strength increased?

"Your strength has increased. You'll need some time to adapt. Conveniently, these zombies are for you to deal with," Svetlana immediately noticed Eddie's difference and was very curious how he had changed like this. Had he undergone some experiment in between?

"I've noticed. I'm just your bodyguard. Well, with two beauties here, I can't let you two do the fighting," Eddie said with a hearty laugh.

Chapter 222: See You Again, Sister Wang

In the sewers, the unconscious Hunk awoke, roused by his assistant, Lone Wolf. "Captain, you're awake. You've been unconscious for almost two days. Our team was wiped out by Dr. William, who turned into a monster. Even the peripheral members didn't escape."

"We must retrieve the G-Virus sample. This is what we're supposed to do," Hunk stood up, stretching his limbs to regain combat readiness.

"Captain, it's just the two of us left. We can't complete this mission. That monster spread the serum into the sewers, and now the entire city is full of zombies," Lone Wolf said, a bit dejectedly.

"Don't say such disheartening words. If you're scared, then be strong. I'll complete this mission alone," Hunk snapped. He knew it was unrealistic to complete the mission in the current environment.

"Captain, you are the Grim Reaper; I doubt any mission can stump you. The situation is critical now. You might as well try to contact Command and see if the mission has changed. I saw earlier that there was a violent tremor from underground; there must be a problem down there," Lone Wolf reported.

Hunk pondered for a moment. If the underground Queen has been destroyed, then completing the mission would become impossible.

"Calling Command, this is Alpha Team Leader Hunk. We were defeated by the monster William, who was infected with the G-Virus. Please give new orders!" Hunk tried to contact Umbrella's Command via radio.

After several attempts, a response came over the radio. "Is it just you alive again? As expected of the Grim Reaper, but your mission failed this time. No matter, we'll give you a second chance."

"At the cafe on Faison Street, one of our bio-weapons is somewhat damaged. You need to go to the underground research lab of the Medical University in University Town to get some restorative fluid and give Nemesis an injection. This is your chance to prove yourselves. After success, we will send Brava Team to support you," the staff member said, then transmitted some data.

"Received. We will complete the mission," Hunk began to act after receiving the data.

On the way to Raccoon City University City, Hunk also encountered a lost team member, code-named Ghost. If the underground research facility were still intact, this unlucky fellow would only serve as a tool for Aunt Wang after obtaining the G-Virus sample.

In the orphanage, Eddie went to a room on the second floor. Chief Brian was in this sample room, and the sound of high heels echoed from the other side of the corridor.

A short red cheongsam dress combined with special combat attire, paired with big red high heels, creating a unique strong woman aura, so tall and slender that even models would feel ashamed. The person who arrived was Ada, Sister Wang, Aunt Wang, who had been missing for some time!

"Ada! What are you doing here?" Eddie put down his gun.

"I'm here to investigate some things. And you, here to see Brian? He's not a good person; you need to be careful," Ada nodded, her beautiful eyes glancing at Claire. She could feel a stubbornness in the woman before her, just like herself.

"This is a good friend of mine, Ada. This is Claire, a colleague's sister," Eddie briefly introduced the two.

"Hello!" Claire greeted with a smile.

"Hmm, hello," Ada's expression was calm, but her beautiful eyes looked at Eddie thoughtfully. This man really had beauties accompanying him wherever he went. Perhaps, as he said, he only encountered capable women.

"I'm here to see Brian. We can talk about other things later," Eddie said, then pushed open the door and entered.

The room had numerous taxidermied animal heads hanging on the walls, a display of his power and wealth.

The portly and obese Brian sat in a chair, looking a bit weak and pale. "You've come. You need to save me. Just now, a monster forced me to ingest something; I ate those disgusting things."
