Chapter 171 - 171

The boy suddenly pulled out a knife, "What do you want to do? I won't let you bully my mother."

The woman stopped the boy, looking at her son with doting affection, then apologized, "I'm sorry, my son is a bit oversensitive. I'm truly sorry."

Eddie shook his head, "It's alright. I'm looking for someone. Are you Ms. Muller?"

The woman with the headscarf pondered for a moment, "Who sent you to find me? Was it him?"

"No, the person you're expecting is now a wanted criminal. Perhaps you don't believe it, but once you see the news, you'll understand. In the Western Federation, there's a city called Raccoon City, where a crisis erupted. Most of the people turned into those monsters outside, and that person caused all of it." Eddie pulled out a cigarette and lit it.

"No, it's impossible. He wouldn't do such a thing. How could he?" The woman with the headscarf looked up, somewhat disbelieving, revealing a pair of very beautiful eyes.

"Believe it or not, it's up to you. You stay here for now. I still have things to discuss with you later. I mean you no harm; I'm just telling you about this incident." Eddie exhaled a smoke ring.

"I understand. You want us to compensate you, don't you?" The woman with the headscarf responded indifferently.

"Of course not. Everyone is responsible for their own actions. I've worked with him before. He's a very ruthless person; he treats everyone like a pawn, even the closest people. Now is not the time to talk. I still have things to deal with. Billy, please look after them. There will still be monsters nearby. Once they're eliminated, we can talk slowly." Eddie finished speaking, waved his hand, and prepared to leave.

"Thank you. My name is Yasi Muller. You can call me Yasi. Thank you very much for telling me this news." The woman with the headscarf looked up and said.

"It's nothing. See you later." Eddie left without looking back.

This mother and son were Wesker's ex-wife and son. Wesker didn't know he had this son, nor did he know that one of the women he had been with in the past had left him an heir.

It wouldn't matter whether he knew or not. Wesker was no longer human. With his personality, he would use anything as a pawn, even his own son. This was his style of action and his unique personal charm.

Billy shrugged, "Alright, this will cost money." He then turned to the wary mother and son and said, "Don't worry, I used to be a soldier. Find a place to hide, and I'll guard here. There's only one main gate here, so as long as I'm fine, no monsters will get in."

Continuing forward, they passed through the market, where many Hunters had already been killed, and some soldiers from the Federal Bio-Terrorism Countermeasure Committee had also died.

Ahead were the stagnant Sheila and Parker. In front of them was the graceful Queen Rachel.

"Aren't you here for the captain? How are you slower than us?" Sheila asked, puzzled.

"I got lost. I ran into a few monsters and zombies in the middle, which held me up for a while. They wanted me to stay and have tea with them. I said another day, but they weren't happy, so I had to kill them all." Eddie told a dark joke.

Sheila seemed about to say something else but was interrupted by Rachel, "Alright, Doctor Eddie certainly has his reasons. He's not good at combat. He's only assisting us, not a formal combatant."

As Eddie's spy within the Federal Bio-Terrorism Countermeasure Committee, Rachel naturally spoke up for her man, "Doctor Eddie, the stronghold of the reactionary armed forces is ahead. We are preparing to attack and eliminate them completely. At the same time, we'll try our best to capture the leader and ask him where he bought the biochemical weapons."

"So much trouble? Actually, if there are no residents there, it would be better to just bomb it directly. Sending people in for street fighting is just a piecemeal tactic." Eddie suggested.

What biochemical weapons? A big cannon would be better. Pull out his damn Italian cannon and blast it twice, even a Tyrant would be crippled.

"No, intelligence shows there are still a considerable number of residents inside. We need to rescue them; we cannot use artillery tactics." Rachel said helplessly, while her eyes, hidden by her blonde bangs, winked at Eddie, seemingly hinting for help.

"Then send in special forces, advancing in small units, and just kill all the enemies..." Eddie could only suggest this; what else could he do?

"That's the only way. Doctor Eddie, are you interested in coming along? This time, I'll personally escort you." Rachel invited.

"No one would refuse an invitation from a beauty." Eddie smiled, adjusted his magazine, and walked forward.

Rachel quickly laid out the tactics, which were basically about playing it safe. Wasting time was better than losing lives. General Morgan's order was to complete the mission perfectly. Wasting time didn't matter; the main thing was that the intelligence had to be satisfactory.

The three moved forward, followed by a special operations team.

"How's working in the new environment? Are you used to it?" Eddie asked softly, his smile very approachable.

Rachel broke into a bright smile, "It's alright, but I often have to deal with complex work, and I'm still not used to some of it. With your help, I can handle any difficulty."

These words made Eddie incredibly proud, and the flattery made him feel lightheaded. Being flattered is a very satisfying thing, especially when the flatterer is a great beauty, which makes it even more satisfying.

"You should pay more attention. If you often go out to deal with these so-called crises, it's best to bring more people. If you're unsure, you can call on me. Don't push yourself; you only live once." Eddie nodded.

Rachel's voice was very gentle. "I know. I don't want to turn into an ugly monster either. Thank you, it's really good to have you."

Cindy listened with some surprise. Although she was curious when Eddie had placed a spy in the Federal Bio-Terrorism Countermeasure Committee, that wasn't her concern.

Compared to Eddie's personal matters, she was more interested in owning a bar to indulge herself, watching customers come in every day to drink and brag, hearing many strange and interesting stories—that was also a kind of enjoyment.

Rachel only spoke in a low voice when she saw that no one was paying attention, "This time, the one selling biochemical weapons is a man from the Iberian Peninsula, a very ugly middle-aged man who seems to have some unique ability. I don't know if we'll encounter him this time, Eddie, you need to be careful."

Chapter 285: The Reseller Sadler

"Iberian Peninsula? Any characteristics? Or do you have a photo?" Eddie, in his invisible state, showed a trace of solemnity. He had a bad feeling, as if that man was someone from a rumor.

The main reason was that the Iberian Peninsula also hid a terrifying thing, an ancient parasite. Although the parasite could make people very strong, being controlled and parasitized was the most disgusting thing.

The characteristic of the parasite mutating, plus its ability to make the host become a mess, from this point of view, Eddie rejected it. He would not choose a parasite for a little bit of power; he had plenty of beauties waiting for him to save, and becoming a monster would not be so wonderful.

"What's wrong with that place? It's still good for a vacation. I even want to go and visit." Rachel hinted.

"When you're on maternity leave, going there for a visit wouldn't be bad." Eddie teased.

This made Cindy, who was beside them, roll her eyes adorably. Maternity leave again. Although the miracle of creating a new life could be exciting, a prolonged pregnancy was also a burden for women.

"We'll see. Whatever you want me to do, I'll do." Rachel smiled and didn't retort. Her intuition had always been accurate, just like how she would buy a lottery ticket when she had a feeling and immediately win a prize.

The three continued forward. They mainly encountered zombies and Hunters here. Other huge cockroaches, over two meters tall, didn't pose much of a threat.

"Is this all they call a biochemical attack? I don't think the effect is outstanding. I don't know what the buyers were thinking. Wouldn't buying some rocket launchers be better than buying these things?" Eddie sneered. At the very least, they should deploy biochemical weapons like Tyrants; that's what you call an attack. This is just small-time skirmishing.

"I don't know. We just do whatever General Morgan, that old geezer, tells us to do. Actually, taking it slow and steady, we can still push through. The experience in Raccoon City proved that these biochemical weapons can be very effective in confined spaces, but they still can't contend with regular armies." Rachel shot and killed a zombie with her gun.

The base of the reactionary armed forces was an air-raid shelter, used to prevent missile attacks. Due to lack of funds, they could only use such a place as their base.

A middle-aged man with a lemon-shaped head and a square face was peddling his goods to the armed leader. "These are the latest Hunters, highly controllable. As long as you're in narrow buildings, or using buildings and alleys for sniping, no amount of armed forces will be able to break through your front line."

"You're selling it too expensively. This price is higher than what other merchants sell for. We can't accept it; this is extortion!" An elder leader was very angry. He would never forgive anyone who extorted him.

"Alright, you're a good bargainer. These things are a flat price, one million US dollars, all delivered to you." The ugly man made a concession.

"Five hundred thousand!" The elder leader further haggled.

"Then you can keep playing with those people yourself. I'm leaving, goodbye." The man left dismissively. If he didn't achieve his expected goal, he wouldn't choose to sell; it was meaningless.

"Trying to leave? Do you think you can just walk away? Leave the goods. Coming and going as you please, do you think this is a public place?" The elder leader snorted, clearly intending to double-cross him.

"You really surprise me, wanting to turn hostile and deny everything. Alright, if that's the case, I'll ask you one more time: one million US dollars, buy or not buy?" The ugly man was very annoyed. He urgently needed funds to develop his church, but these scoundrels always haggled.

"Three hundred thousand, no more!" The elder leader also sneered, and with a wave of his hand, the armed militants behind him, wearing distinctive headscarves, immediately raised their submachine guns at the ugly man.

"This is what you brought upon yourselves!" The ugly man finished speaking and strode forward, not even giving anyone time to react. He killed the elder leader with a hand chop, then single-handedly threw the elder, weighing over a hundred pounds, out to block the submachine gun attack.

Da da da! A few bullets still hit the ugly man, who grunted but didn't bleed.

The other elders outside, hearing the screams, sent guards to investigate. They saw the ugly man from before push open the door, still with some bloodstains on him.
