Chapter 187 - 187

"That fast?" Moira exclaimed.

"With the help of the Red Queen, everything is naturally fast," Eddie said with a smile, feeling that his hard work in stealing the motherboard and core was not in vain. Umbrella's most valuable asset was this supercomputer.

Returning to the elevator, it opened silently, even the sound of the doors was suppressed. January's hacking skills were getting better and better; with her help, there was no need to look for keys.

They were now eighty meters underground, very close to the bottom of the island, twenty meters below sea level.

There were culture tank everywhere, filled with numerous chunks of flesh, which were devouring each other. It looked like they were raising Gu, using the principle of mutual consumption to cultivate the strongest genes.

There were very few guards here, only a few scattered human guards, not those dissolving artificial humans. It seemed this was the most important place, holding the ultimate secret.

Ada found a computer. The location was excellent, with a culture tank blocking the view. Her fair fingers began typing on the keyboard and downloading data.

A permission password popped up, which made Ada frown slightly, but she quickly realized that Umbrella's permission levels were all different.

"Stumped, huh? You still have to rely on your husband," Eddie said with a mischievous grin.

Ada rolled her eyes. "Then why aren't you getting to work? The less fighting, the better. This isn't a place to linger. Yamae, I'm counting on you."

"It's fine, I'll handle it," Christine shook her head, also a little surprised by this woman. It seemed she wanted to build a good relationship to avoid being isolated when she arrived.

Claire and Moira were on alert, preventing anyone else from approaching, and at the same time, feeling a wave of nausea looking at the contents of the culture tanks.

"Umbrella is too perverted. Are they all insane? It's so disgusting; aren't they afraid of having nightmares at night?" Moira frowned. She suddenly felt that she had found a good man; at least, a genius like him wouldn't do such disgusting things.

"Not everyone is like Eddie. Eddie might not be a good person to others, but he has always been good to us. I'm very grateful to him." Claire's beautiful eyes occasionally flashed with the man's image: humorous, handsome, talented, and rich. With these four qualities combined, no woman could refuse him.

"Hehe, you're getting lovesick," Moira teased, though she herself was no different. The more she interacted with him, the more surprises she found, and the more she became infatuated.

With January's help, Christine finished stealing all the data. The download speed was very fast, utilizing unique encrypted compression technology.

Eddie, meanwhile, was looking at Christine's profile. From that angle, seeing only half of her face, it truly gave him the feeling of a pipa half-hidden by a veil.

"Alright, it's done. Stop staring foolishly," Ada snorted. Daring to look at other women in front of her? He was asking for a beating.

Just as everyone was preparing to retreat, a middle-aged man with a beard, dressed in special forces attire, walked over. "Oh, oh, look who it is? A few rats, haha, Eddie Cai. You really came. I knew a traitor like you would show up! Haha!"

Eddie frowned. "How do you know?"

"Idiot, because you'll die by a woman's hand sooner or later. Allow me to formally introduce myself. I am Vincent Goodman, the commander and head of Sheena Island. I'll take good care of your women for you. Even if they're used goods, I don't mind. Haha, you'll watch them suffer with your own eyes!" Vincent laughed loudly.

Bang! As soon as he finished speaking, Eddie quickly punched, covering a distance of twenty meters, and sent Vincent flying with a single blow. Being so arrogant in front of him? Wasn't he asking for a beating?

Not only was Eddie furious, but even the usually most honest and gentle Claire felt angry. She had already signed a long-term contract. After the contract ended, she would be old. What could she do then? She had long realized that she couldn't marry anyone else.

Thud! Vincent crashed into a large section of culture tanks, finally falling to the ground. He felt like he was about to die; that punch made him feel as if he had been hit head-on by a large truck. His bones were all dislocated. If it weren't for his special bulletproof vest, which absorbed some of the damage, he would have died long ago. Even so, he was as good as dead.

"It's not that easy to kill me. Hypnos-T Type, kill them!" Vincent wanted to take a gamble, using his voice authority to activate the Hypnos-T Type's system.

"Give me a shot of the experimental serum." Vincent still wanted to try anything, hoping he could survive through the virus. Now, the only thing that could save him was the T-Virus.

A large number of armed soldiers began to appear, sweeping with submachine guns.

Eddie and the women hid behind cover. The serum on the lab tables was shattered by bullets. The culture tanks were also pierced. These artificial soldiers had no defensive awareness; company property meant nothing to them.

Whoosh! Eddie didn't waste words, pulling out two grenades and throwing them directly.

Boom! Nearly twenty artificial soldiers were blown away, falling to the ground. Their functional limits were activated, and they dissolved into a pool of blood under the death mechanism.

"Retreat towards the elevator. January, find the facility's self-destruct device, but don't activate it yet. Wait until we're out." Eddie finished speaking, stood up, and unleashed a barrage with his assault rifle.

His marksmanship was precise; every bullet was utilized, hitting the exposed weak points of the artificial soldiers. This was the effect of comprehensive enhancement after physical strengthening. While his eyes spotted weaknesses, his neural reactions were swift, and his body could execute commands – a trinity.

Bang! The elevator was locked. They could only exit via the stairs.

"You all go first, I'll cover the rear," Eddie waved, letting the women go first.

A fragrant breeze wafted past. Ada said calmly, "Don't die, man. I'll give you a reward when you get back."

Chapter 312: Christine's Test

As Ada and Claire and the other women left, there seemed to be a firefight upstairs as well. Under the pincer attack, Umbrella's defensive line seemed to have collapsed, and many soldiers were bitten to death by zombies and Lickers that had breached the defenses.

After Vincent received an injection, his entire body began to convulse violently. His muscles and bones made grinding sounds, as if something was gnawing at his flesh. The entire process looked extremely disgusting and nauseating, just like raising Gu.

Eddie also frowned. He could see everything clearly, even though he was at least sixty meters away. He pulled out a grenade and threw it directly, intending to blow the man up.

Bang! At that moment, a blue-skinned man, about 1.7 meters tall, reached out and caught the grenade. The grenade then exploded, producing only a muffled sound in his hand.

His palm opened, and a pile of shrapnel fell out. His left hand was a slightly enlarged, clawed hand. The monster's appearance was similar to a human male, and like a Tyrant, he was bald.

He had an ordinary appearance, neither tall nor short, was powerfully built, and extremely wooden, seemingly no different from an idiot.

"Haha... This is the strongest Tyrant, Hypnos-T Type... Kill him... Haha, die... Eddie Cai!" Vincent was continuously devoured by the special virus, and his skin began to gradually peel off.

Pfft! Unexpectedly, the Hypnos-T Type directly slapped Vincent, who was still struggling, to death with a claw, dug out his heart and ate it, and then began to devour Vincent's body, leaving nothing behind.

Eddie frowned. "Yoko, can you hear me? Bring up the Hypnos-T Type's data. I've seen this monster. He can hold an exploding grenade and be unharmed. Find his weakness, and have Annette analyze it."

Annette, on the cruise ship, immediately walked over in her high heels and began analyzing the Hypnos-T Type's weakness in the computer room. She did whatever her husband asked her to do.

Meanwhile, in the Umbrella French Branch building in Europe, a beautiful blonde woman with exceptionally pale skin sat in the minister's office, legs crossed, her ten-centimeter high heels swaying with her movements. Her fair fingers were painted with purplish-black nail polish, making her appear even more mysterious.

This was Christine, the head of the French Branch and a formidable career woman. She was looking at the computer screen, which displayed events happening on Sheena Island, an island near Europe, where the strongest mass-produced Tyrant was being researched.

When she saw Eddie punch Vincent flying, a glimmer of light flashed in Christine's beautiful eyes. Her fair fingers held a glass of red wine. "He really used the virus to strengthen himself, but his eyes aren't as obvious as Wesker's."

Christine was talking to herself, every word hitting the mark. She was very curious about the effects of the virus, similar to Christine, both becoming obsessive due to their passion for a particular field.

Dressing beautifully and glamorously was a woman's nature, and to prevent ugly and disgusting men from hitting on her, she made her style of conduct more ruthless, thereby deterring those ignorant men.

Christine's superior reported directly to Spencer. Even Sergei could not oversee her; they were on equal footing. Spencer, an old geezer, had neither the inclination nor the ability, nor would he engage in under-the-table practices; those were things only common folk cared about.

Her fair fingers tapped rhythmically on the desk. Christine adjusted the gold-rimmed glasses on her delicate nose and, after some thought, dialed a number.

Alex, who was researching the Leech Queen Marcus on Tortuga Island, was surprised to receive the call. "What is it? Speak, I'm busy."

"Albert is still alive. He was wandering around my territory a few days ago. What do you think he's plotting?" Christine's voice carried a seductive quality, yet she was an ice queen, which made it very contradictory and perplexing.

"How would I know? You'd be better off thinking about how to survive than worrying about so many other things." Alex didn't care about others; she only cared about when she could leave here.

"Eddie Cai is also on that island, Sheena Island, where the strongest mass-produced Tyrant is being researched. The Hypnos-T Type's combat power is very strong. Are you interested in taking a look together? That Eddie has also been enhanced. Although I don't know how he did it, this will be very helpful for our plan." Christine's voice carried an unclear nuance.

"Not interested. What, are you smitten with a young man?" Alex was about to hang up. No matter how powerful the Hypnos-T Type was, it wouldn't exceed biological limitations; it merely maximized muscle strength.
