Chapter 199 - 199

Lisa's battle was relatively simpler; she seemed to be intentionally honing her new abilities, using ultrasonic waves to form sharp sound waves, expelling them directionally, and cutting the The Bandersnatch in half.

It looked as if they were cut in half by an invisible blade, incredibly eerie.

"Your new ability is pretty good. Train more, and maybe you'll be able to cut tanks in half later," Eddie praised.

Lisa shook her head. "That's not realistic. It requires a lot from my vocal cords. Mom can do it too, but she just doesn't use it much. Karena said that having more skills would be better for protecting you."

Jessica smiled. "You've already done very well, Eddie. As long as we're here, you won't get hurt."

"Getting hurt is fine, just don't die. Haha, we'll all live good lives. What does death have to do with it? Don't say such inauspicious things. Let's go, we're going to the lab."

Upon arriving at the laboratory, they just saw a figure being thrown out. He looked somewhat familiar, having been slammed into the wall.

"Joseph!" Chris shouted, immediately drawing his gun to attack, forcing the The Bandersnatch to retreat, but the damage was not very strong; a pistol really wasn't enough against it.

Among them, a rebellious man was also attacking the The Bandersnatch with dual pistols, riddling the The Bandersnatch with bullets from his two automatic handguns.

"You're too weak. Is this what you call a special forces unit? Don't make me laugh," the rebellious man sneered.

Eddie brought the two women into the lab. "Hey, Chris, why aren't you in Europe collecting evidence? What are you doing here? Claire just called me, asking me to come save my brother-in-law. You seem pretty good, not dead, just a bit of a team killer, haha!"

Chris immediately rushed over and grabbed Eddie's collar, demanding, "What brother-in-law? What did you do to Claire?"

Jessica easily pried Chris's hand open, then threw him ten meters away. "Don't get too close to him. If you do that again, I'll beat you to death." After saying that, she punched through the wall.

Such formidable strength left the three people present breathless. Where did this Eddie find such a powerful bodyguard? Wasn't he afraid of being beaten to death?

Eddie lit a cigarette and casually tossed him a bottle of first-aid spray. "Go treat your injuries. Claire is fine. I made a deal with her: I help her find your whereabouts, and she helps me with something. It's that simple. When you go back, you can talk to her, and you'll know."

"You'd better not bully Claire, or I'll make you regret it," Chris could only retort with a threat, taking the medical supplies to treat Joseph's injuries.

"Of course not. I'm not a scumbag. Maybe in a year or two, your nephew will be born, haha." Eddie went to the computer to operate it, connecting the mobile hard drive to the computer.

"You bastard, I'll kill you if you do that," Chris could only grunt, expressing his dissatisfaction.

Eddie manipulated the keyboard for a while, and then a cup of water was generated on a machine behind him. He took it off, replaced the cup, and took another cup of water. Afterwards, he used the medical instrument to synthesize several composite drugs.

Eddie took out the medicine and threw it over. "These are antiviral drugs, also made from compressed biscuits. They can restore physical strength. You can only get revenge when your stomach is full."

Chris accepted the medicine, and Joseph and the rebellious boy each received a share. "Thanks."

Chris was just overprotective of his sister. If it was Claire's choice, he, as her brother, naturally had no objections. It was just a bit hard to accept that his sister, whom he had raised for so long, was already at the age of getting married. It felt a bit too fast.

"Hey, aren't you the man I had dinner with that day?" the rebellious boy exclaimed.

"Who are you?" Eddie continued to operate the keyboard without looking up. He was helping January decipher the secrets of Rockfort Island. There was also a powerful supercomputer guarding it here, and it would take some time to overcome it.

"My name is Steve. I was captured by Umbrella that day. They said my mother was killed. Is that true?" Steve asked with concern.

"Your mother? She's fine. I saved her. It cost me five hundred thousand, and now she needs to work for me to pay off her debt. If I save you, it'll cost another million," Eddie said indifferently.

"No, I want revenge on Umbrella. They caused all of this. I want to get back at them!" Steve roared furiously.

"Oh, another victim. Whatever you want. I still have some things to do, so I won't play with you anymore." Eddie finished speaking, sat on a chair, and began eating compressed biscuits.

"Are you stealing Umbrella's data?" Chris asked, confused.

"What do you mean'stealing'? I'm taking it openly! You're being impolite. I'll give you a copy. It just needs some time to decrypt now," Eddie said calmly.

"Alright, thank you." Chris nodded. What he needed was evidence of Umbrella's crimes. He believed that Eddie wouldn't do anything insane. Claire and Jill wouldn't allow their husbands to do such things either, so there was still some assurance.

Joseph struggled to his feet. "I feel like this path is not easy. I'm always the one getting hurt."

"Because you're more prone to getting beaten, haha. The fortunate thing is that we're all still alive. I wonder if Brad is still around. Although he's a bit cowardly, he still did some things." Eddie thought of a certain coward.

"That coward, never mind, let's not talk about him." Chris also felt a surge of disgust. While everyone else was investigating Umbrella, he quit. Unlike Barry and Edward, Barry had to escort his family away to prevent them from being kidnapped and killed by Umbrella Corporation, which was understandable.

Steve looked around, and when he saw outside the laboratory door, a large number of zombies were surging in, along with some unknown bio-monsters. He immediately exclaimed, "Those monsters are surrounding us!"

Eddie took out his guns. "Then hold your ground. The lab is large and has a lot of depth. Move things over to block the main door. You guys go inside and see what can be used. I'll hold them off here."

Chapter 332: Ada's Wall-Crawling and Wall-Running

Eddie didn't even move, just sat in front of the computer. What he needed to ensure was the data transfer from the computer's disk. There was some information in there that he was very interested in: how to utilize electrical current, which was a brilliant idea.

As the protagonist, how could he not have some self-defense skills? He couldn't just shout, "Wife, save me!" whenever something happened, right?

Bang! A Hunter leaped in through the window. Its flexible body and sturdy scales were good at deflecting glass shards.

Unfortunately, it was facing Jessica. Before it even landed, it was kicked out by Jessica, colliding with and sending another Hunter, who was also jumping in, flying out.

Lisa didn't kick her Hunter away; instead, she punched its head, exploding it. One punch, one Hunter.

The progress bar on the computer screen had already reached seventy percent. They needed to hold out for another ten minutes to ensure the data transfer was complete. Currently, it was still in the decryption phase; data transfer had not yet begun.

The laboratory door was constantly being pounded by zombies, but the thick steel plate was something these zombies couldn't scratch through. They couldn't scratch through it even in a hundred years.

The only thing to watch out for were the Hunters. Eddie keenly noticed that some red-skinned Hunters had mixed in. "Be careful, those red-skinned ones are Sweepers, and they're poisonous."

Upon hearing this, Lisa still delivered a punch, sending the red-skinned Sweeper flying out, followed by a sharp shriek. The Sweeper's head couldn't withstand the sound waves of the audio attack and directly exploded.

Jessica, however, pulled out her Magnum. After kicking the Sweeper away, she used bullets to blow its head apart in mid-air. The splattered blood on the ground made a sizzling, corrosive sound, which was very disgusting.

Compared to Lisa, Jessica occasionally used sound waves to attack Hunters, but it wasn't stable, so she preferred using firearms.

On the other side of the small island, Nemesis, carrying a Gatling gun and a rocket launcher, fled and arrived near the steel bridge. There were a large number of mutated salamanders here. As Nemesis approached, they released high-voltage electricity, causing Nemesis to stiffen.

The electricity damaged some of the control chips in Nemesis's head, and the Nemesis, having lost some of its sanity, became even more berserk. It stomped on and killed the mutated salamander after it discharged electricity, then picked up the Gatling machine gun and began a sweeping attack, accurately killing all the salamanders in its path.

After clearing a path, Nemesis fled towards the main island.

Meanwhile, at the small island's beachhead, forces dispatched by the Federation Navy had arrived. A submarine had its steel plate bitten through by several mutated sharks. Although the sharks' teeth broke, the submarine began to take on water.

Losing a submarine right at the start infuriated the fleet commander. "Open sonar radar! Concentrate fire first and take out all the monsters in the water!"

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! Mines were continuously launched, hitting the fast-swimming mutated sharks. The massive sharks were unable to evade the fast underwater missile attacks and were blown to pieces.

A marine corps unit of nearly sixty men landed on the small island. These were just ordinary soldiers, affiliated with the military. The Bio-Terrorism Security Assessment Alliance did not have an aircraft carrier and could only dispatch some of its members and the most elite Echo Six Team to participate in the battle.

A landing operation was unexpectedly attacked by rocket launchers, and the number of casualties had already reached over a hundred, with fifteen helicopters also lost. Such terrifying losses made even the commander's heart ache.

"This is the Echo Six Team. We have secured the beachhead, but there are still a large number of bio-weapons present. Please advise," Jettingham said into his earpiece.

"Received, received. Your next directive is to proceed to the main island's castle villa, apprehend Alfred, the commander of Rockfort Island, and bring him back. Extract the location of the Antarctic Research Facility, and collect information about Umbrella's crimes on the island along the way," General Morgan issued new orders.

"Received," Jettingham said, then turned to the arriving team members. "We're heading to the main island to apprehend Alfred and collect criminal evidence. This area will be handled by others. Let's go."

At the same time, the fleet commander on the ship received an order: "This is Hunnigan, Highest Special Operations Group Communicator. The organization has dispatched two presidential direct agents to Rockfort Island for reconnaissance. Do not engage. Mission code name: dark skinned Night..."
