Chapter 215 - 215

"Of course, I'll do my best. You'll also watch our children grow up. I promise we'll all live well." Eddie nodded, his expression turning serious.

"You scumbag, you still owe us a wedding and a wedding ring. You're still on the rise in your career, and you need a spy to explore the changes in the world for you. Intelligence is very important to you." Ada felt a surge of anger at the thought of her unofficial status.

"Ahem, I'll try to make it up to you, don't worry," Eddie said awkwardly. Women, after all, just need a little coaxing. "Do you have anyone to recommend?"

"That woman from the Echo Six Team isn't bad. She used to be a spy, active in high society." Ada suddenly brought up a woman.

"There's a man named David. I saved him before, and I'm currently using him to gather intelligence. Do you think he's reliable?" Eddie revealed his plan.

Ada pondered for a moment. "David is okay, but he's an outsider. You need someone on your side who can gather intelligence. Sienna is a good choice, provided she's willing to work with you. Don't let her seemingly casual demeanor fool you; not many people can take advantage of her."

"This woman is rated so highly?" Eddie was a little surprised. He had thought Sienna was just a slightly more capable intelligence agent, but he didn't expect even Ada to rate her so highly.

"Hmm, go recruit her. I'm tired and need to rest." Ada finished speaking and pushed Eddie out of the room. She was still a bit unaccustomed to the drifting life, coming and going with the wind and rain; now it was time to settle down.

Eddie sent a text message to Caroline, asking her to sound out Sienna's intentions. If she was willing, it wouldn't be too late to recruit her then. He didn't want to get rejected.

Chapter 357: The Queen Joins the Team

When Eddie arrived at the lab, the proud Alexia had just woken up from the cryo-chamber. Clenching her hands, she felt no power, but she felt comfortable enough, with no viral collisions or conflicts occurring.

The awakened Alexia picked up a prepared hamburger and devoured it. Despite her lack of manners, she still looked beautiful. After wolfing it down, she ate a full thirty pounds of food before fully waking up.

"How do you feel?" Eddie walked in and asked.

"Not good. My previous strength was twenty tons. Now I probably can't even lift five hundred pounds," Alexia said, looking down.

"Great strength is good, but knowing how to use it is another matter. A little less strength is much better than turning into a monster. Do you think it would be better to cut out the queen ant and plant genes from the Veronica Virus?" Eddie asked.

Alexia was the inventor of the Veronica Virus, and no one understood this virus better than her.

"After the removal, it won't be the Veronica Virus anymore. The queen ant gene segment can be cut, but the plant genes can be kept. Some plant genes can fuse with human genes without causing mutation. I've tried it; it can revert back," Alexia explained her findings.

"Are you annoyed that your dream of being a queen has been cut off?" Eddie walked over, lifted her chin, and asked.

Alexia turned her head. "Hmph, even without it, I am still a queen. You'd best show some respect. If you displease me, I will do something you'll regret."

"I'm just teaching you to respect others, not always 'queen, queen.' Everyone here is a queen, so what? They're still members of my team. You only become a true queen when you learn to respect others. Have you ever seen a queen who is a lone wolf?" Eddie walked to the instrument and operated the keyboard.

"Why are you so good to me? A woman who used her father as an experimental subject, so vicious, she's not worth your efforts." Alexia's eyes held a hint of anger.

"No one understands you, but I do. In my opinion, everyone has their own convictions. If you think you can, try to integrate into my team." Eddie extended a sincere invitation. Was this love? No, it was just lust for her, which was truly disgusting!

Alexia lowered her head. "Why are you willing to believe me? Tell me the truth!"

Eddie walked over and handed her a cup of coffee he had already drunk from. "Because you're beautiful and smart, and I like that very much. Most importantly, we're the same kind of people, we share a common language. To some extent, we're both madmen. One wants to rule the world, the other wants to live forever."

Alexia curved a smile. "You're very honest. Are you planning to have me help you achieve immortality? Your idea is good, but I might not be a very good candidate. You've come to the wrong person."

"How do you know without trying? As for feelings, we can talk about that later. Let's talk about business now. I need your help. The Veronica Virus has great potential. I've studied queen ant data for a long time and discovered the secret of how queen ants control their subordinate ants. I can help you continue to gain this ability." Eddie smiled gently.

Acting? So what? As long as he could make Alexia believe him, it was all worth it. Just like when he first met the stunning Jill, as long as the outcome was what he wanted, that was enough.

Alexia put on her high heels. "I'll give you a chance, and you give me a chance. My goal is to deal with Spencer and revitalize the Ashford Family. Didn't Alexander, that good-for-nothing, create me for this very reason? Once I complete this task, I won't owe him anything anymore."

The two began to research improvements to the Veronica Virus. Alexia was very interested in the G-Virus that emerged during this period, especially the Alpha Parasite which could be used to increase intelligence.

The addition of a supremely knowledgeable scientist significantly accelerated Eddie's research speed.

Even Annette and Christine were impressed by the proud Alexia. This woman was indeed a genius with an IQ of 230.

The IQ of a normal person fluctuates between 70 and 130, and those who reach 180 are extremely rare. Those who reach over 200 are, without exception, geniuses among geniuses.

According to Eddie's proposed plan, Alexia only took one day to perfect the details. This feeling of mental exertion made her enjoy it, at least her intelligence had not declined due to the viral erosion.

"Fortunately, the queen ant gene wasn't activated, otherwise you wouldn't be as smart as you are now," Eddie quipped.

"If I wasn't so smart, and not so beautiful, would you still go to such lengths to recruit me?" Alexia casually asked, lightly stroking her golden hair near her ear.

"Probably not. Normal people wouldn't like a monster, unless they have some special fetish." Eddie shrugged, stating a fact.

Alexia, however, was very satisfied. "It seems beauty is indeed a woman's great asset. I have perfected your work. Don't forget to formulate a repair plan for my future. This feeling of weakness doesn't suit me."

"Of course. I'm counting on you to help build a brand new laboratory. Controlling huge creeping plants to build houses, that idea is truly brilliant!" Eddie's eyes flashed with a glimmer of brilliance. When he saw those huge creeping plants in Antarctica, he knew how to make them effective.

"You really were calculating me from the beginning!" Alexia playfully chided. She was a bit surprised by her own change; she was a queen, how could she act like a little girl?

"Who told you to be so smart and bubbling with beauty?" Eddie also teased.

Soon, the first experimenter was Monica. As the one with the least presence, she had always been doing odd jobs. Despite having professional knowledge, being a doctor, she could only serve tea and water.

"Eddie, will there really be no problems?" Monica looked at the cryo-chamber with some fear.

"You said the same thing during the first enhancement. What happened then?" Eddie raised an eyebrow.

"I know, Eddie, I'm willing to do anything for you. You can't abandon me, okay?" Monica was still a little worried.

"I definitely won't use you as a guinea pig. Why are you so silly? Isn't being the first to try something good? This way you won't be unable to get up every morning." Eddie's words made Monica a little embarrassed, all because he was too good at tormenting her.

Chapter 358: Alex Stands Up for Her Husband

Based on the T-Virus, with a small amount of G-Virus that had been vaccinated and neutralized, this virus would become very mild. The mutation rate was not as strong as the original, but it could achieve further enhancement and repair.

After making all preparations, Eddie sent Monica into the cryo-chamber. This experiment was not very dangerous; it had been calculated and experimented on by him and Alexia, and the enhancement method was derived by referencing his own experiences.

The most important component of this special enhancement was Lisa's blood. Lisa could fuse various viruses, and her physical constitution was not inferior to Wesker's. Wesker could maintain his sanity after fusing with viruses, but Lisa could not. One had good quality, the other good quantity.

"Alexia, it's your turn now. Start splicing out the Veronica Virus, retaining the plant genes. I will research a cleansing vaccine to ensure your condition is stable. Freezing for too long is also not good; it's easy to fall out of sync with the outside world." Eddie nodded.

"Why do I feel like you're mocking me? If it weren't for that good-for-nothing Alfred, I would already be a queen now!" Alexia was a bit angry. It was only a matter of days, and there was a huge difference between high fusion and perfect fusion.

Under high fusion, if one gets injured multiple times, it can easily lead to the loss of human genes, which are then filled by other animal genes, naturally turning one into a monster.

"Relax, relax, how could I mock you? You're thinking too much. Have you forgotten, we are companions, and companions should trust each other." Eddie smiled.

Alexia turned her head. "Hmph, I just haven't gotten used to it yet."

On Tortuga Island, Alex was still researching a special project that involved psychological mutation leading to viral spread, named the T-Phobos Virus.

This virus had immense potential, but suitable hosts were almost nonexistent, as it was difficult to find people who felt no fear. Furthermore, mastering this virus skillfully would require a long time.

Having married Eddie, Alex did not conduct inhumane experiments; she was merely researching. This project was handled by someone else, and she didn't care who it was.

Alex waved away the researcher and sat in her laboratory boss chair. "What is it?"

"The T-Phobos project is progressing smoothly. What is the status of the next step, the therapeutic serum?" Spencer's aged voice came through. He had been dealing with the Western Federation recently, trying to keep Umbrella operational.
