Chapter 251 - 251

"Then you probably won't like seafood in the future," Eddie said with a smile.

"How do you know I like seafood?" Sheila's beautiful eyes flashed with a hint of light. Could this man be investigating her?

"It's all in your file. Understanding the colleagues you frequently interact with, avoiding saying inappropriate things, and fostering camaraderie—isn't that normal?" Eddie shrugged.

This left Sheila speechless. He was absolutely right; she had no retort.

Turning her head, she watched the island recede into the distance. Eight missiles could be seen flying from the sky. These were high-explosive missiles, large weapons second only to nuclear missiles.

They were preparing to cleanse the island and the surrounding ocean to prevent monsters from escaping into the sea and causing severe damage to the marine ecosystem.

"This scene is beautiful. Few people have the chance to witness such a sight up close," Eddie said, watching the missiles streak across the sky. In the face of such heavy-duty missiles, humans were so insignificant. Whether it was a Hunter or a Tyrant, even Morpheus, who controlled the Electric Barrier, would die.

Biological entities cannot directly contend with technology, unless they are like Superman. If one became Superman, who the hell would still be stuck in this beginner's village called Earth?

Sheila and Parker also watched in silence. In such a scene, no one spoke. They watched a medium-sized island turn into ruins under the missile attack.

The dazzling light of the explosion made it impossible to open one's eyes. Only Eddie could directly look at the explosion's center on the island. An Electric Barrier appeared, invisibly distorting the surrounding magnetic field. In that instant, even light was distorted.

"Humans are truly insignificant," Eddie sighed.

"Yes, humans are very insignificant," Sheila, with her pink bob and nurse's cap, said softly, looking at the exploded island.

"I had a friend who died in a tsunami. When facing nature, humans are truly fragile and insignificant," Parker also said with a great deal of emotion.

Does this count as making up a friend? Author, I have a friend who's about to die. His last wish is to see you drive. That's definitely not allowed. That's making up a friend.

After speaking, Eddie left the deck and rested his eyes in the lounge. Fong Ling and Oriana also sat meekly to the side. After witnessing the man's power, they did not leave. Following the strong is human nature, and this has nothing to do with men or women.

After three hours of sailing, the warship returned to the harbor. Anruka, the heir of Tricell, personally came to greet the ship, which showed great respect for Eddie.

A lavish banquet was set up in a grand hotel, and some bikini-clad women were also called in, ready to comfort Eddie, the partner who had survived a great disaster.

Eddie politely declined all of this. He didn't like these common beauties, and who knew if they carried AIDS? He didn't want to be a high-society figure; he just wanted to be a regular citizen.

A disk was handed over. Eddie took out a cigarette, and Lisa, standing nearby, promptly lit it for her boss. "This is the complete data for the Bio-Human Army. We encountered many cannon fodder on the island. These cannon fodder self-destruct upon death, making them very suitable for that role. This kind of thing might carry public opinion risks, but many regions will need it. At least it's much better than biochemical weapons."

Anruka took the disk and said to his strategist, Nelson, "Have the engineering department examine the data, and also calculate the potential profit and transaction figures."

After all this, Anruka picked up his wine glass and apologized, "Business is business. I need to ensure this thing can make money before I can give you an answer."

"I don't care. I prefer to cooperate with genuine scoundrels rather than hypocrites," Eddie said, blowing smoke rings, unfazed.

"Haha, I like straightforward partners like you. It's clear that Excella marrying you back then was a wise choice. Don't rush to leave these next few days; I'm hosting a party. Come and relax," Anruka laughed heartily.

"Forget it, I'm not interested in such things. I'm more interested in making money," Eddie said with a laugh, embracing the beautiful Alexia.

I'll believe you when pigs fly, you old rascal, you're rotten to the core! Anruka scoffed. Doesn't like women? Then why are your bodyguards and companions all first-rate beauties? Ask yourself, aren't you ashamed to say that?

The two chatted idly about various topics, either discussing which celebrity was beautiful and who they planned to invite for dinner, or discussing current market conditions and asking about the situation.

Ten minutes later, Nelson walked over and whispered a few words into Anruka's ear.

Anruka nodded. "This data is very helpful to us. Competition is fierce now, and war could break out at any time. The Bio-Human Army is undoubtedly an excellent consumable, cheap in large quantities, and both large and small regions will be scrambling for it. If it could be Improvements to types that can cultivate and produce livestock, it would be even more profitable."

"Then you'd be back to the slave trade of the 17th and 18th centuries. You'd be universally condemned. Earning a little money at the cost of your reputation isn't worth it. After net profit, we'll split it fifty-fifty. This is the most complete data; other regions have collected some, but they are defective products."

"If this thing is used well, you might even be able to take the position of head of the Travis Family early. Remember to invite me for a drink then," Eddie said, blowing smoke rings, speaking eloquently and calmly even when facing the heir of a family as rich as a nation.

Alexia rested her chin on one hand, turning to look at Eddie. This man she had chosen was indeed capable. He wasn't the type to be timid and silent in front of nobles, afraid of being beaten, but then aggressive and arrogant towards commoners.

His consistency in character was what Alexia valued. His knowledge, his way of dealing with people, and so on, were all things she needed to observe. So far, Eddie had made her very satisfied.

Chapter 417: Kale, the Rapidly Growing Daughter

No wonder Anruka was so excited. If he could make this deal, he would indeed make a fortune.

"Since it's settled, I'll be leaving now," Eddie said, embracing Alexia and leaving the restaurant to return to his Goddess Island.

Anruka just sat there with a smile, not bothering with false pleasantries. See them off? See what off? Whether polite or not, the other party was a scumbag, so there was no need for politeness. Only tangible interests were the real connection.

Sitting on the plane, Alexia looked at the sea below and asked, "Are you always like this? Is handling interpersonal relationships so simple?"

"Yes, I don't play their game; I can't beat them at it. I just stick to what I'm used to. In my familiar territory, no one can fool me," Eddie nodded, clearly proud to be able to contend with the scions of the world's top wealthy families, despite being a commoner.

Jessica just watched with a smile. Whatever Eddie did, it was always right in her heart.

After four hours of returning to Goddess Island, January used remote control to block the tracker, preventing anyone from following.

Upon returning to the island, Jill was waiting, holding a small girl, her pretty face smiling, like a virtuous wife waiting for her husband to come home.

Kailie excitedly ran over, her chubby little hands outstretched. "Daddy, you're back! Are you going to play with Kailie today?"

"Alright, I'll play with you for an hour. Let's go swimming," Eddie said with a smile, picking up his daughter and placing her on his shoulders. This little princess was growing so fast. In just half a year, she was already like a three-year-old child, and her intelligence had fully caught up.

This unique phenomenon not only appeared in Jill's daughter, but also in the daughters of Annette and Wolf Mother; they grew very quickly, and their intellectual development kept pace.

Alexia frowned, a hint of unspoken envy flashing in her beautiful eyes. She also wanted a home, and a child, at least to alleviate her family's misfortune.

Jill smiled as she watched her daughter and husband go to the beach to play, joined by the daughters of a few sisters. She finally had some free time.

"Do you want a child? If you do, just have one. You don't need too many, just one is fine. A woman who hasn't given birth isn't a true woman yet. Little ones can be mischievous sometimes, but most of the time they bring joy," Jill said, gently stroking her short hair, appearing intellectual and elegant at this moment.

These words made Alexia thoughtful. As a noble lady, her thoughts wouldn't be so old-fashioned. She gently stroked her blonde hair, tucking it behind her ear. "We'll see. I'm going to the lab."

Jill shook her head. This woman was a bit shy. As for jealousy, Jill did have some, more or less, but she was very optimistic and wouldn't act like a shrew. Instead, she accepted it gracefully. As long as she did her part, her husband wouldn't treat her unfairly. Besides, Eddie always called her a woman of stunning beauty.

Arriving in the lab, Alexia began to research electronics, specifically knowledge about magnetic fields. As a genius, her reading speed and comprehension speed were both very fast.

It was already eleven at night when Eddie returned, yawning. His expression was like a rooster that had stolen a weasel, smug and arrogant, walking with an unconcerned swagger.

Alexia glanced at him indifferently. "Satisfied? Be careful, you'll fall flat on your face in this area sooner or later."

Eddie didn't care, taking the coffee Lisa handed him. "The worst place I ever fell was in the Antarctic lab, but unfortunately, I didn't die. I'm doing just fine."

Alexia's lips curved into a reminiscent smile. "Less talk, let's begin. I already have an idea for further improvements. Let's eliminate electromagnetic pulse interference, and the magnetic field you mentioned is very interesting. I think we can do it."

Jessica didn't follow them to the lab. She was exhausted and wanted to rest, and also to protect Jill, Annette, and the others who were tired out in their rooms. So, only Lisa, one bodyguard, followed, continuously, twenty-four hours a day.

Alexia had grown accustomed to these two bodyguards, whose loyalty to Eddie was paramount and who would never betray him.

Meanwhile, Morpheus drove his submarine to an island in the Indian Ocean, a place unsupervised. It was entirely comprised of the Bio-Human Army, with only one human administrator.

Emerging from the nuclear submarine, Morpheus was still holding the unlucky parted-hair agent, Leon. This was where he continued his virus research, and no one else knew about it, not even his sister.

Leon woke up groggily to find himself in a room filled with women's cosmetics. He immediately tried to draw his gun for defense, only to find all his firearms had been disarmed.

The bald, cross-dressing Morpheus entered with a plate of sashimi. "Eat it. That's your lunch."
