Chapter 258 - 258

Jill shook her head. "No, I love Eddie, I just forgot. If I go, I will definitely go with Eddie. That little guy won't let us go on an adventure alone."

Jill always referred to her husband Eddie this way because he was a few years younger than her. It seemed that every time she said it, she felt a little proud and smug in her heart. Was this what they called the older woman preying on the younger man?

Karena received a phone call. After talking for two minutes, she hung up. She let out a helpless sigh, mixing joy and worry.

Jill asked curiously, "What's wrong? Did something happen?"

Wolf Mother nodded. "Yes, the school principal called just now. He said Kailie and Hailey's academic results were too good, and those two little rascals are making a fuss about skipping grades."

Jill gently rubbed her forehead, also feeling a headache. Her daughter Kailie was too smart and learned things extremely fast, often finishing a book in a few days and completing a semester's worth of curriculum in a week. This gave the school a huge headache. If it weren't for Eddie's connections, they would have been treated like monsters.

"What's the big deal? Alexia also graduated from a university on the English Island when she was ten. Did they forget?" Jill seemed to recall something.

"I think we shouldn't let them attend school for the time being. Since they are different from ordinary people, we should have one of the sisters teach them. Katherine is good; she used to be a middle school teacher." Wolf Mother suggested.

Since Jill and Karena were both virus-enhanced individuals, their daughters born with Eddie were also enhanced. This led to the current result: their period of growth to adulthood was greatly shortened. This would attract attention, so to avoid unnecessary trouble, it was better to teach them personally, even if it was a bit tiring.

Eddie also heard this news on Goddess Island and couldn't help but smile wryly. He was sitting in front of the delivery room; Ada had just been rushed there due to stomach pains.

Before long, a loud cry was heard. The child was born. The cold and glamorous Ada had given him a precious daughter.

Eddie looked at the baby and the exhausted Ada, and a surge of pride welled up in his heart. The goddess whom thousands of men obsessed over and admired, Sister Wang, Aunt Wang, had given birth to his child. This feeling of sweet satisfaction could only be experienced by himself and could not be shared.

Ada opened her eyes, rested for a moment, and felt much better. Her beautiful eyes looked at her husband holding their daughter, and her heart was instantly filled with happiness. "Husband, bring the baby over, let me see."

The little one resembled Ada quite a bit. Daughters resemble their mothers but are usually more filial to their fathers. This was why Eddie liked daughters. Another point was that he didn't plan on having too many; just one was enough.

What was somewhat unexpected was that he hadn't had a son yet. Was this fate? Eddie didn't particularly like sons either. For someone who was immortal, lineage had no meaning.

A month later, Eddie had already tested the modified data for the second stage. He still needed a little time for calibration. If completed, he would never have to worry about high-voltage electricity affecting him again.

Jill returned to Goddess Island with her daughter Kailie. She was a little unhappy. Seeing her husband sunbathing on the beach, she immediately ran over and tapped him with a coconut.

Eddie opened his eyes, yawning. "Wife, what's up? What are we eating tonight?"

Jill rolled her eyes. "Didn't you say you were taking me to the Amazon Rainforest? It's been a month, and you haven't made a move! I thought you and Alexia were having such a good time here you forgot about home!"

As the person concerned, Alexia was also sitting nearby sunbathing in a bikini. Propping her chin with one hand, she turned and lay on her side. "This has nothing to do with me. Eddie is waiting for an invitation. We can only go after receiving an invitation. The Amazon Rainforest is huge, and searching like this isn't realistic. Also, don't be jealous."

These words made Jill feel somewhat embarrassed. She was indeed jealous. After a slight pause, she gently brushed her hair with her hand. "I was just getting a little anxious waiting."

"It's rare rest time, so let's not talk about work. Want to have a water fight?" Wolf Mother changed into a beach bikini and walked out holding a large water balloon. This was the most classic water fight posture.

Chapter 429: Punching Crocodiles, Hero Saves the Beauty

Before this, Javier, a famous corn merchant, personally found Eddie's contact information and invited him over to treat his daughter, promising a very high commission.

To the nervous Javier's surprise, Eddie agreed. As the leader of a criminal organization, Javier was utterly ruthless, and his subordinates held him in awe. Anyone who dared to betray him or sell information would inevitably face the extermination of their entire families.

This method was cruel but extremely effective. This was also why Javier was able to grow his power. He only behaved like a normal person when facing his family.

In the rainforest on the other side, Chris led an elite BSAA squad exploring for nearly half a month. They only found some very crude bioweapons, giant spiders, and lizards.

Although they hadn't found the main culprit, it confirmed that bioweapons were present in the area, and the source had to be located.

In the rainforest, several factions were advancing and exploring, all seemingly related to the major drug lord Javier.

The BSAA, led by Chris, was dedicated to finding the murderer of Richard and investigating the bio-incident in the area.

On the other side was the true man, the mercenary Mikhail, leading his subordinates to transport something. They entered from the periphery, seemingly having smuggled themselves in.

Another group was the Federal Bio-Terrorism Commission team, led by Sheila and Parker. Rachel was originally supposed to be the commander here, but after recently giving birth to a precious daughter, Rachel directly refused to deploy. She takes her daughter everywhere she goes.

Rachel didn't mind being a single mother. It was enough for her to know that there was a man she deeply loved and a man who deeply loved her supporting her. The unlimited credit card was the best proof. She used the credit card given by her husband Eddie. Women, after all, are satisfied and quiet when they have financial fulfillment.

There was another group: members of the family, who came here to find and destroy the bioweapon processing plant and locate the mastermind. Whoever it was had to die.

In the hot rainforest, Leon and Kevin were working together again to investigate the suspect who recently threatened the President's family and to investigate Javier, the largest local corn merchant.

This time, there was also a newcomer helping out: Krauser, a member of the Navy SEALs, the most elite unit of the Federation Marine Corps. This battle-hardened soldier was the ace of aces, capable of wiping out an entire elite special forces unit by himself.

Eddie had already arrived at the dam and happened to see a woman with twin ponytails sitting in a small boat. Her right hand was wrapped in thick bandages, seemingly concealing something. Her expression was mournful, but her sapphire-like eyes were very charming, possessing the unique allure of local beauties—unforgettable at first glance.

Suddenly, several crocodiles appeared, eyeing the small boat menacingly, preparing to flip it over. On the dam, Javier was shouting loudly, seemingly calling out something.

Alexia glanced indifferently. "Eddie, it's time for you to show off. Why aren't you jumping down to save the beauty?"

Jill covered her mouth and chuckled, her beautiful eyes filled with laughter. She wasn't jealous; she was already very happy to be able to come to the Amazon Rainforest this time—it was like a honeymoon. Their daughter had been entrusted to Katherine on Goddess Island, so without the troublesome child interrupting, they could have more fun.

"I generally don't show off," Eddie shrugged.

"Saving her is good for you. That woman smells of the Veronica Virus." Alexia said flatly.

Snap! Alexia was assaulted, making her feel embarrassed and angry—this was in public! Eddie looked proudly into Alexia's beautiful eyes, making her feel quite shy. "Call me husband from now on, understood?"

Alexia lowered her head and softly hummed a response, barely louder than a mosquito.

Having done all that, Eddie lightly jumped into action, leaping down from the helicopter thirty meters high.

The woman on the boat seemed scared, timid, helpless, sad, and even had a look of being tired of living.

A crocodile flipped the small boat over, and the blonde woman screamed as she fell into the murky water. Javier on the dam felt his heart shatter; she was his only daughter.

Thud! Just as a crocodile was about to bite the blonde woman, Eddie descended from the sky and punched straight through the crocodile.

He killed the three-hundred-pound crocodile with a single punch, then plunged into the water, kicking away another crocodile that attacked him. He pulled the blonde woman, righted the small boat with one hand, and simultaneously kicked the head off the third attacking crocodile. If it weren't for the resistance of the water, that kick would have exploded the crocodile's head.

The helicopter quickly dropped a rope. Eddie embraced the blonde beauty and flew toward the dam, only letting go after they landed safely.

"No need to thank me. If you really want to show gratitude, according to the Amazon Rainforest tradition, you should pledge yourself to me," Eddie laughed, waving to Lisa, who handed him a cigarette and lit it for him.

"Thank you," the blonde beauty lowered her head, seemingly embarrassed.

Only then did Javier cry out in distress, "Manuela, are you alright, my dear daughter? Why did you leave your medical room? I've already found the best doctor in the world for you."

Eddie nodded. "That's right, you can call me that, but I'm more of a Doctor of Medicine. I research all kinds of strange diseases. I can even save you if you're infected with the T-Virus, provided you have enough cash."

"You can save someone even if they're infected?" Javier muttered.

Manuela suddenly bowed. "I'm sorry, Father, I just can't accept the way you plan to treat me."

Javier was anxious. "It's alright, I've already invited the best doctor. Doctor Eddie, thank you for saving my daughter. This is my daughter Manuela. She has an inherited disease. Please help treat her. I will be extremely grateful and give you a generous bounty."

Eddie nodded while smoking a cigarette. "Of course. Take people's money and eliminate disaster for them. I'm not interested in making money, but I am quite interested in spending it. This is the list of medicinal ingredients I need. Once collected in the medical room, I will begin the treatment. Let's start the examination now, no more unnecessary chatter. Oh, right, have some good wine and food prepared here and sent over. Make sure the portions are large!"
