On a distant hillside, the cold Sergei stood with representatives from various regions or crime syndicates behind him. They were invited to witness the latest bioweapon, a bioweapon capable of confronting an army!
"See? This is the Talos series. We've developed many models. They can fight in all kinds of complex terrains. One Talos can counter an entire legion, and with enough ammunition, it can wipe out an armored division," Sergei said with immense pride.
"Is there an aquatic model?" asked a representative from a crime syndicate in the Amazon Rainforest.
"No, an aquatic model has not yet been developed," Sergei snorted. Aquatic equipment was not that simple, and the research and development costs did not compare to the profits.
"How much does this Talos Tyrant cost?" asked a black warlord representative.
"Two billion. We'll include a computer for you. The Talos series is commanded by a computer, fully intelligent and controllable. Maintenance costs one hundred million US dollars, once every six months. You can create more profit with it," Sergei casually quoted.
"Too expensive!" the warlord representative frowned.
"It's worth the price. Currently, the European Union and the Federation's attention is focused on Eastern Europe and North Africa, so your days aren't easy. Even if you can't afford a Talos, a simple Hunter can still be effective," Sergei said, promoting the product like a businessman.
The oligarch group's steel torrent arrived. As soon as the armed helicopters appeared, they were shot down by the Nemesis after only a few shots.
The Talos began to bombard the tanks with its shoulder cannon. Each anti-tank bomb accurately struck the bottom of the tank, destroying it from its most vulnerable point.
Its Gatling gun swept across the sky, shattering the helicopter's propellers, causing the helicopter to fall from the sky and hit friendly forces!
The Hunters seized the opportunity to attack, beheading the soldiers. With a swipe of their claws, their heads were severed.
A legion of bioweapons capable of wiping out an entire organized military unit was truly horrifying!
By the time the Federal Bio-Terrorism Commission and the Bio-Terrorism Defense and Assessment Alliance received the news, Sergei had already escaped with the Eastern Slav Republic oligarch group's bank deposits.
The incident immediately made headlines, and freelance journalist Alyssa once again began her condemnation of bioweapons. Her hobby was writing articles, and since her daughter wasn't around, she had plenty of time to write whatever she wanted.
When this news broke, the whole world was shocked. It was another disaster after Raccoon City, and the first time bioweapons had officially entered the battlefield.
The world immediately split into factions of condemnation. Among the condemning factions, some were merely following the trend. However, a portion, represented by Chris, the Raccoon City survivors, maintained a zero-tolerance attitude towards bioweapons and sought to eradicate them.
But some research experts believed that bioweapons could genuinely be used as weapons to reduce casualties among human soldiers.
Some even proposed turning these bioweapons into cyborgs that serve humanity, transforming them from wild beasts into domesticated animals.
All sorts of bizarre ideas could be seen online; keyboard warriors were ubiquitous, regardless of nationality.
Only Svetlana's beautiful eyes turned incredibly cold when she saw her hometown attacked. Yet, she said nothing. It wasn't wise to involve her husband in this matter, mainly because Eastern Slav Republic was not a member of the United Nations. With its weak strength, being bullied was a very realistic outcome.
"Don't worry too much. Slowly boiling a frog isn't realistic. Eddie won't let you stay there. Once Eastern Slav Republic is independent, you'll have to come back. Women, sometimes it's just that helpless," Alexia said calmly while looking at the recent investment and research project reports.
Chapter 444: Female Hank and the Baker Family
Only chaotic situations can ensure a booming arms business. If the world were peaceful, who would buy weapons?
Although the Eastern Slav Republic armed fighters were dissatisfied, what could they do? They could only accept this fact; in terms of combat power, even all of them together couldn't defeat Sergei.
Walking down the street, Eddie was preparing to leave this chaotic country. He merely wanted to ensure his wife Svetlana's assets wouldn't be destroyed, nothing more.
A pretty figure flashed by, slender, wearing a gas mask. Her face was obscured, making one curious about her appearance.
Eddie teleported and intercepted the woman in an alley. "Beautiful lady, we meet again."
Female Hank Alvara frowned delicately. "Go away, I don't have time for your nonsense."
Eddie pinched her chin. "Please mind your tone when speaking to me. What are you doing here?"
Alvara was furious inside but could only grit her teeth and say, "Gathering intelligence, Sergei's intelligence, and intelligence on Umbrella's last remnants."
"You're still working for Shén Yà Pharmaceutical?" Eddie's expression was a little strange.
Alvara snorted, "Ye Minzhi is just a representative of Shén Yà Pharmaceutical. She's only upper management. Don't think she's the person behind the scenes; she doesn't have that qualification. Let go of me, or I'll scream for help."
"Tsk, go ahead and scream if you dare," Eddie didn't care.
"Help!" Alvara actually shouted loudly.
Immediately, there was some movement in the alley, and several young men walked in. "Hey, what are you doing? Let go of that girl!"
Eddie pulled out his Magnum, pointed it at the men, and said without looking back, "Get lost!"
"Alright!" The young men immediately fled without looking back after seeing the gun.
"Now do you think it's still useful?" Eddie grinned mischievously.
"What do you want?" Alvara lowered her head, her tone a little annoyed.
Eddie suddenly let go of Alvara. "I was just asking, I didn't want anything. Provide me with regular intelligence on Shén Yà Pharmaceutical, and I'll give you money."
Alvara suddenly said, "I want to become as strong as them!" She pointed at Jessica and the others.
"That won't do. I only give benefits to my own women, not to outsiders. You need to train more. When I think you're qualified, I'll find you. If you want to become stronger, then diligently express your loyalty to me," Eddie laughed heartily, handed her his Magnum, and turned to leave gracefully.
Alvara stared blankly at the Magnum in her hand. It had clearly been modified, and the craftsmanship surprised her. This was a powerful gun; even a Tyrant would be injured by a close-range shot.
Clenching the Magnum, Alvara's eyes became very determined. "Eddie Cai, you can't escape!"
On the way to the parking lot, a man was shouting loudly, "Is anyone here? Someone's injured here!"
Eddie walked over and saw two men and two women squatting on the ground. There were two children, a boy and a girl, about ten years old. The man was an uncle in his late thirties, and on the ground lay a woman who wasn't beautiful but looked very virtuous. The woman's head was already exposed, so the situation seemed very critical.
"What's her injury?" Eddie knelt down to check.
"She was hit by a brick. Can you help take my wife to a nearby hospital?" The middle-aged man was a bit anxious, sporting a Mediterranean hairstyle and wearing a bulletproof vest with the Federation Army's emblem visible on it.
Eddie looked at the bulletproof vest. "You're a Federation soldier? How are you here?"
"There was an emergency attack here. We were dispatched to help evacuate Federation citizens and not intervene in the fighting. My wife brought my son and daughter to travel and wanted to see me, but they were attacked," the uncle said with a hint of sadness.
"Alright, you're an unfortunate fellow. I'll try my best to save her. I can't guarantee I can heal her, but you can trust me; I'll take her back for treatment. My name is Eddie Cai; you must have heard of me." Eddie finished speaking and took out a potion to apply to the woman. Upon closer inspection, he realized the woman looked familiar; even in a coma, she exuded a virtuous aura.
"You're that genius pharmaceutical scientist Eddie? I'm Jack Baker, a member of the Federation Marine Corps Snow Leopard Squad. It's a pleasure to meet you. This is my son Lucas, and this is my daughter Zoe," Uncle Jack introduced.
"Jack? Can I call you Baker? Because a colleague of mine has a son named Jack, and it sounds strange to call you that," Eddie said, feeling a bit speechless.
"Of course, you can. I'll trouble you to take care of my wife. When I'm done, I'll come find you. Please, thank you very much." Uncle Baker finished speaking and left with his son and daughter.
This made Eddie a bit speechless. Wait, the Baker Family! Isn't this the family from Resident Evil 7? The poor family. Isn't this woman the so-called 'mother-in-law'?
The contrast between before and after infection was truly stark; before infection, she was very beautiful and virtuous, but after infection, she was beyond commendation.
After finding a car and administering an emergency mist, Eddie didn't bother with her further. Being hit in the head by a brick was no joke, and the medical conditions here couldn't do any better, so stabilizing the injury first was preferable.
Three hours later, Eddie returned to the headquarters on the edge of the Mediterranean and had Jessica carry Marguerite into the laboratory for treatment.
