Christine sat in her office, already aware of her husband's return, but felt no excitement. She was still handling business in Europe and didn't have time to go down and greet him.
After the examination, Eddie found some blood clots in Marguerite's brain, which made things a bit difficult. "Prepare to use electronic machinery for the surgery, it's really troublesome."
Meanwhile, in the cities of Eastern Slav Republic, a large number of spies arrived, attempting to track Sergei's whereabouts. Sergei was the only remaining remnant, holding Umbrella's last resources. This was a fat piece of meat, and everyone wanted a bite.
Wesker also went to track Sergei. Sergei ordered Nikolai to retreat with the bio-weapons while he stayed behind to meet his old friend.

Wesker picked up his Magnum. "Enough nonsense, hand over Umbrella's last resources. That old geezer was just using me. You're just a pathetic, blindly loyal person. Spencer isn't a good person."
"You have no right to comment on whether he's a good person or not," Sergei sneered, appearing in front of Wesker the next second and striking with a palm.
Wesker countered with a punch, and both retreated five steps. Overall, Sergei was slightly inferior; despite his teleportation ability, he only managed to fight Wesker to a draw.
"It seems your strength has grown, what a pity. Now get out of here, and I'll pretend I didn't see you," Sergei threatened, as his two Ivan-type Bodyguards reappeared behind him.
"It seems you don't understand your situation at all, Colonel. I just want to ask, do you know about the Wesker Project?" Wesker didn't act rashly; he wasn't confident against two Tyrants plus Sergei.
"The Wesker Project? Hmph, that's a plan to assist Mr. Spencer, and you're a part of it. Don't think Umbrella is being targeted; these are just minor setbacks. After these hardships and pains, Umbrella will become even stronger," Sergei said, pulling out an antique Box Gun.
"Hmph, it seems the Colonel is prepared to sink with the Umbrella ship, then you can just wait to die." Wesker threw a smoke bomb and instantly disappeared from Sergei's sight.
Sergei didn't care; his goal wasn't to be buried with Umbrella. He wanted to use Umbrella's last resources to revitalize his homeland. As for Spencer's plan, that was beyond his ability to handle.
A week later, Eddie emerged from Christine's room, humming a tune, a smug expression on his face, like a big bad wolf who had successfully stolen a treat.
Alyssa called, "Husband, the woman you brought back has woken up."
In the lab, Marguerite woke up but had some amnesia; she couldn't remember who she was. She only remembered going on a trip somewhere, and then her head hurt, and she couldn't remember anything else.
Eddie examined Marguerite and found no trauma. He held up a finger. "Do you know how much this is?"
"One!" Marguerite replied.
He then asked several more questions, and Marguerite answered them all correctly; her general knowledge was unaffected.
Eddie pondered for a moment. "Your name is Marguerite. Given your situation, you should stay here for continued rehabilitation. You still need observation."
"Then I'll trouble you, but I don't have any money, so I might not be able to pay the bill," Marguerite said, somewhat embarrassed. Playing dumb wasn't her style, nor would she take advantage of others.
"It's okay, you can owe it, or help me with some work during the day to pay off the bill," Eddie smiled. "Yasi, take her downstairs and arrange a room for her."
Ms. Yasi looked at the woman with some sympathy. "I understand. My name is Yasi, and you're Marguerite, right? Come with me, I'll arrange a room for you."
Ms. Yasi, who had already given birth to a lovely baby girl for Eddie, knew very well that this woman couldn't possibly leave. Even if she could, her man would use some means to keep her. What a poor woman, once she arrived, she couldn't leave.
Jack Baker seemed unaware of the terrible decision he had made, a decision he would regret for half his life.
Eddie sat in his office, Jessica crouched under the desk inspecting the wiring. "Hello, Mr. Baker? Your wife's injuries have been healed, but she has amnesia and was startled. I recommend she recuperate here for now. She previously had cerebral hemorrhage, which might be related to this."
After sending his son and daughter home, he also contacted the boarding school to ensure his daughter Zoe and son Lucas would receive good care.
Uncle Jack was very sad when he received the news. "How long does she need to stay?"
"I don't know, it could be two or three days, or two or three years. I recommend she stays here, where she can receive better care. Her brain was damaged and requires many expensive medications and nutritional supplements to maintain; a lack of them could lead to brain death," Eddie began to intimidate, glancing down at Jessica.
Uncle Baker was startled. "The cost must be very expensive, I can't afford such a hefty bill, and my children still need to go to school."
"It's okay, I'll pay in advance. Also, you know I'm very interested in developing drugs for difficult and complex diseases. I also want to develop related drugs to prevent such tragedies from happening in the world again," Eddie's breathing was a bit erratic.
Uncle Baker didn't notice, instead saying apologetically, "Mr. Eddie, you are truly a good person, you are a good person, I wish you a safe life. I will retire next year and go back to my hometown to farm."
"Mm, you can bring your children to see Marguerite when you have time, it might help her memory recover." Eddie's breathing was rapid, as if he couldn't catch his breath.
"Then I'll trouble you, I'll go see her after my mission is over." Uncle Baker sighed, feeling fortunate.
"Okay, I'll also invest in the farm business in the future, maybe you'll even work for me. Alright, I'm hanging up now." Eddie hung up the phone after resolving the matter.
Jack Baker was a good person, but it had nothing to do with him. Those who were destined to die would still die; if they couldn't be saved, then let them die.
Jessica crawled out from under the desk, took a sip of coffee to rinse her mouth. "The wiring is fixed, I suspect someone deliberately damaged it."
Eddie's expression was strange. "Weren't you always the one in charge?"
"I don't know." Jessica lowered her head; she wouldn't admit to her little trick.
Just as Eddie was about to tease her, a call came in from Alexia. "I'm pregnant, you need to come back."
The words were brief, but Alexia's joy was unmistakable; she was finally going to be a mother.
Christine also walked into the office, high heels clicking, carrying a suitcase. "When are we going back to Goddess Island? I'm taking maternity leave."
"You're pregnant too?" Eddie's expression was very strange.
"Of course, are you not happy about it?" Christine raised her delicate chin with authority.
"Of course not, you are very welcome." Eddie smirked.
Chapter 446: Fake Ada, Carla
The bio-weapon legion incident that erupted in Eastern Slav Republic continued to ferment. This was a crisis, but also a business opportunity. Many Black market merchants had already smelled the stench of money; surely someone would order these bio-weapons.
Currently, there are three sales channels: one is the European region of the Travis Family. The Simmons-led family is also selling bio-weapons in Latin America and the Middle East. The remaining one is Sergei's Caucasus Branch, which is secretly selling them.
With Sergei's initiation, large areas in Eastern Europe and the Middle East became experimental and trading grounds for bio-weapons. These regions were unstable; one day they might disappear. Today, Zhang San is the boss, tomorrow Li Si might rise up.
Marguerite remained at the Mediterranean headquarters, watched over by Ms. Yasi and Naveli. Excella, having given birth, returned to her stage, with no immediate plans for a second child, allowing her to fully unleash her business talents. With a child as a bond, Excella no longer had to worry about being abandoned.
In the Goddess Island laboratory, Emma was still tinkering with her Electromagnetic Sniper Rifle. With the current characteristics of the hybrid virus, this clever weapon designer had an even more brilliant idea: to create a super-powerful, single-person portable Electromagnetic Sniper Rifle, utilizing full plasma bullets, with nine times the power of traditional gunpowder weapons.
Alexia lay languidly on the villa's balcony, basking in the sun. Ada was holding her daughter and chatting with her, two exquisite women that left Eddie dumbfounded.
Ada chuckled at the man's foolish look. "Idiot, what are you looking at? Come here."
"What are your orders, my dear wife? I have plenty of time tonight," Eddie said with a comical expression.
Alexia also smiled faintly; after becoming pregnant, the Queen's smiles had increased. "Although I married you, the Ashford Family still exists. I need you to find that good-for-nothing Alfred and have him inherit the family head position."
Eddie spread his hands helplessly. "He is already the head of the Ashford Family. Isn't he cooperating with Simmons now? His intelligence isn't that lacking."
"You don't understand, you need to return to the British Isles, otherwise your noble status will be revoked," Alexia explained. Her obsession was to continue the Ashford Family.
"I'll just tell Anruka about this. I'll talk to him when I have the chance, it's not suitable to have too much contact with him right now," Eddie nodded.
