Eddie hummed a tune, smoking a cigarette, with an incredibly smug expression, like a Weasel that had successfully stolen food.
Claire, meanwhile, was being supported by Moira, seemingly frowning with every step, finding it somewhat difficult.
Seeing her friend in discomfort, Moira didn't feel indignant; instead, she chuckled softly, occasionally teasing her friend. This made Claire let out a coquettish whine, and though her walking was clumsy, her beautiful eyes, when they met, held an astonishing charm.
Chris, seeing his sister seemed injured, couldn't help but ask with concern, "Claire, are you alright?"
Then he yelled at Eddie, "You bastard, didn't I tell you to take care of my good sister? Now she's injured! Do you believe I'll beat you up?!"
Claire, a little embarrassed, explained for husband, "Chris, it's not Eddie's fault. I'm fine, I just twisted my ankle while walking. I've already applied medicine, and it'll be better soon. Eddie treats me very well!"
Jill also watched, chuckling softly. Claire truly was a good wife, always making excuses for her husband; she had never seen Claire get red-eyed with anger.
Chris was somewhat suspicious, as he had seen that look on Albert Wesker. "It's good that you're fine, just be careful. Eddie, take care of my sister!"
"Got it, got it. There's a battle ahead right now, we'd best take a detour." Eddie, smoking his post-coital cigarette, gave Claire a thumbs up for her performance. He certainly hadn't doted on this wife in vain.
Claire felt warm inside; she was very grateful to Eddie for letting her be in charge of a Relief Organization. It was an expensive endeavor, but Eddie didn't bat an eye and never restricted her spending.
All of this made Claire feel exceptionally happy. Giving Eddie a daughter wasn't repayment, but an expression of deep love for the man.
Chapter 469: Alyssa's Conspiracy Guidance
The legions reinforcing from afar used heavy tanks and bomber missiles to conduct saturation bombing on the Nemesis, which had transformed into a giant monster.
They no longer cared if the Chemical Factory would be destroyed; without eliminating this monster, there was no way to acquire the remaining resources.
Eddie and the others detoured, returning to the front from the snowy area. They just happened to see the giant mountain of flesh that the Nemesis had become, blown to pieces by missiles, with a hideous head falling in front.
The mountain of flesh-like corpse began to melt away, as if it had encountered sulfuric acid.
"Resolved? If it's resolved, let's leave first. We'll leave this to the Russians to handle. We should go." Eddie shrugged.
To deal with this kind of flesh mountain, Eddie could use the Electromagnetic Barrier to go in and out seven times, turning the Nemesis into chunks of meat. He could also electrocute it with high voltage; as long as it was flesh and blood, it was easy to deal with.
There was no need to expose his abilities in this situation; such excellent abilities easily invited jealousy. Showing off was fine, but not necessary.
Rachel sent the report here to General Morgan, letting him deal with it himself. She was not responsible for negotiations, only for combat.
General Morgan had no way to deal with the tough Rachel. If this ace agent were to fall, his subordinates, those good-for-nothings, would be completely incapable of accomplishing anything or standing on their own.
So, even though Rachel was unconventional, General Morgan turned a blind eye to her. No matter how beautiful Rachel was, she couldn't attract him; he was an old man and no longer had that function.
"There's another enemy, a member of your BSAA, and he's gone mad. He's hiding in the Chemical Factory, named Foster. Don't you know him?" Commander Bromski asked.
Chris's expression was incredibly surprised upon hearing this news. "Leave him to us. If he has truly become a monster, we will be the ones to put an end to him."
Bromski nodded; he knew that the camaraderie of shared life and death among comrades was hard to let go of. "I'll give you half an hour. If you exceed the time, we will take action."
"Thank you!" Chris picked up his assault rifle and walked forward.
Foster in the Chemical Factory was still continuously attacking, his eyes incredibly bloodshot. His physique was strong, and he didn't look like he was controlled or had lost his memory; instead, he retained his thoughts and knew how to use firearms.
"Foster, is that you? It's Chris. If you still have your memory, answer me." Chris hid behind cover.
His response was a grenade; if he hadn't dodged quickly, he would have been blown to death.
Chris, attacked, was filled with grief, but he could only suppress his sorrow and kill the opponent.
Despite Foster still having many residual instincts, the Nemesis was still shot dead by Chris using an assault rifle.
The modified Foster was similar to Wesker, only he had lost his sanity, and his overall appearance hadn't changed much.
After the battle ended, Foster's corpse was left behind. This was something that could be researched; it contained the prototype of a brand-new modification plan.
Meanwhile, in the family castle in Tall Oaks, Simmons and other family members watched the battle situation at the Caucasus Branch. On another screen, a figure was displayed: Sergei!
"How about it? This is the new human! Perfect, no mutation, maintaining sanity; lifespan and strength will all be enhanced." Sergei snorted coldly, gesturing with a knife, occasionally self-harming.
"Give us the data, and we can stop pursuing you, but you must fabricate some evidence." Simmons said.
"Alright, I'll create some evidence about Eddie. Take him down, that little bastard has a lot of secrets!" Sergei said with a sinister expression!
"Good, send over the information." Simmons pondered for a moment and then decisively sold Eddie out.
When Eddie returned to the Mediterranean headquarters, he had just entered his office. His reporter wife, Alyssa, came up in high heels, "Husband, the Federation published an article: It contains photos of you in the Umbrella laboratory."
Eddie took the newspaper and looked at the headline, 'Famous Medical Scientist is also a Devil!' Below it was a series of evidence, showing his involvement in the experiment.
This photo was from the T-Phobos experiment, when he saved Becca and January. These two women had also each given Eddie a daughter, making them his women, and he didn't regret saving them.
"Now public opinion is fermenting. These photos are not artificially synthesized. Did you really participate in the experiment? You know I don't like you doing human experiments, but no matter what, you are my husband, and I stand by you!" Alyssa said softly, her beautiful eyes filled with love.
As a reporter who insisted on righteous reporting, she had to choose between her husband and justice. Alyssa chose her husband. Justice? To hell with justice, she wanted Eddie; the strong Eddie had already conquered her heart.
Eddie lit a cigarette, smoking silently, his fingers rhythmically tapping the keyboard, his mind rapidly working.
This photo clearly could only be from internal personnel, either Daniel Fabron, the person in charge of the T-Phobos virus, or Spencer.
Both of them were possible, and it didn't rule out others.
"Have Sienna and Ada investigate who is targeting me." Eddie said into the phone.
After hanging up, Eddie thought of a good idea, opened his computer, and pulled up many photos.
"Wife, you hold a press conference, and I'll have Becca attend to help testify. Expose Umbrella's conspiracy, how they openly invited me to participate in drug development, but secretly used my achievements to conduct cruel, unknown experiments." Eddie sneered, his sinister appearance making Alyssa somewhat infatuated.
"Did you hear me?" Eddie turned and asked.
Alyssa then came back to her senses, "You looked so handsome just now; a man who solves problems with intelligence is very handsome. I'll have people start preparing. In the meantime, aren't you going to explain it to me properly?"
Eddie scooped Alyssa onto his shoulder and walked into the lounge. The mattress inside was definitely top-notch. "Alright, then I'll tell you the specific plan." It was just that the location was a bit off.
Chapter 470: Eddie's Dirty Trick, Shifting Firepower
Eddie was still sitting in his office, humming a tune, his fingers tapping the keyboard. He had to plan something; he was always the one to trick others, never the other way around.
Dare to scheme against him once, and you die!
Why couldn't they just live a good life instead of provoking him? Wasn't that just asking for a beating?
The investigation still needed time, so Eddie gave Lisa a check-up. He had to complete the task Jessica had entrusted to him earlier.
Meanwhile, at the BSAA headquarters on the British Isle, Chris was incredibly despondent. His teammates who had escaped from Raccoon City were dying one after another. This made him very sad; although he knew the risks of this line of work were great, when death came, he still couldn't accept it.
Kaplan began holding a press conference, publicizing BSAA's achievements to gain more fame for himself and strive to return to the family's management.
