Chapter 290 - 290

"So, you can control magnetic fields now?" Jill's expression was strange. Next to her sat a girl who looked sixteen, her daughter Carey, who had grown rapidly.

"You could say that. I haven't tried it on rapidly flying missiles yet, but I can make distant ocean liners veer off course," Eddie said proudly.

"Wow, Dad is so amazing, hehe. Aunt Katherine said that no man out there is any good." Kailie's small face was full of pride; she seemed to have been led astray.

Jill's expression was odd upon seeing her daughter's change. It seemed like there was a story behind this! "Alright, just be careful. We still have plenty of time. Oh, right, in three months, there's a counter-terrorism symposium being held in Terragrigia. It seems like a lot of people have been invited."

"I know. Excella told me. Representatives from many pharmaceutical companies have been invited. The organizer is the Federal Bio-Terrorism Commission. I don't know what that old dog Morgan is planning," Eddie sneered.

"Dad, that smile is so cool!" Kailie exclaimed.

"Relax, relax, that's normal. My baby girl is beautiful too, haha, such a good girl." Eddie laughed heartily. It was hard to imagine a four-year-old girl growing to look sixteen, as if she had taken hormones.

"Hehe, then take us surfing in a couple of days. Let's see who's faster!" Kailie blinked her beautiful eyes. With fully matured intelligence, she might be smarter than a thirty-year-old woman.

"Definitely, I'll take you!" Eddie nodded. It was his daughter's request; he had to agree.

Jill smiled happily, "Kailie seems to have finished most of her self-study. I plan to let her go out and gain some experience after a while. Always isolating oneself isn't good; more social experience will be beneficial."

"I already told Excella; letting her train under her will be much better." Eddie agreed completely. Excella, having been forewarned, would definitely understand his intentions. That woman was smart and would handle everything perfectly.

In fact, Eddie just didn't want his daughters to get married. To prevent them from marrying, he needed them to witness the true nature of those scumbags. At the same time, he had to cultivate their proper perspective; finding a man more outstanding than Eddie would be difficult. Excella and Alexia had actually teamed up to devise some methods for this.

The aristocratic heritage bestowed upon them not only beautiful features but also cultural depth in raising children. The women seemed to possess unique qualities, so it was best to entrust the children's education to them.

For three consecutive days, Eddie stayed on Goddess Island, accompanying Jill and the other women in experiments. Having undergone the fear test, these powerful women were slightly trembling when they walked.

The test was simple yet difficult. Who could truly be without fear? Even Alex, the founder of the T-Phobos Virus, couldn't overcome it herself.

Jessica, however, specifically underwent the testing and also used the T-Phobos Virus. The ability she gained was the manipulation of objects within a certain range using sound waves. Killing with sound waves was silent and undetectable, even by instruments or forensic experts!

Lisa, who was single-minded, also easily passed the fear test, although she seemed to go slightly berserk after the testing was complete.

After Eddie personally intervened and used a special treatment method, Lisa became docile like a kitten. She was tested again, passed perfectly, and was injected with the T-Phobos Virus for a period.

Lisa, whose brain had been modified, seemed unremarkable, except that her beautiful eyes were brighter. There were no signs of trouble or discomfort. When asked, she only shook her head and didn't speak.

Everyone has their secrets. Since Lisa wouldn't talk, there was no need to ask.

After resting for a few days, Kailie, Chelsea, Hailey, and Jones, the first four daughters born, had grown to look eighteen. It seemed their growth rate was extremely fast during this period, influenced by the G-Virus.

Their intelligence was outstanding, and their recovery, defense, and overall physical qualities were all at peak levels. They far surpassed ordinary humans, confirming a research report from the Umbrella Research Institute: the offspring of mutated creatures are also mutated!

They boarded a large helicopter and arrived at the Mediterranean Headquarters Building.

Sitting in his office, he could still see the heavily guarded Terragrigia in the distance behind him.

Kailie and the others went to find their Aunt Excella to arrange work and gain some social experience.

Eddie leaned comfortably back in his boss's chair. With a wave of his hand, the medicinal cigarettes automatically flew into his grasp. Everything has a magnetic field; this feeling was like possessing Magneto's ability.

"What a leisurely day, Jessica. Once Carla returns, we can achieve true eternal life. This period is just right for a rest," Eddie blew smoke rings.

Jessica leaned against the glass window, wearing silver-white open-toed high heels that were ten centimeters tall. "I would prefer to bear you a child."

A strange gleam flashed in Lisa's beautiful eyes, but she said nothing, maintaining her silence.

Knock, knock! The room door was knocked. Eddie's eyes flickered, and through the door of the adjacent office, he saw Marguerite, the woman dubbed the "Mother-in-Law" by *Resident Evil 7* players.

"Come in!" Eddie snapped his fingers, and the office door opened automatically.

Marguerite walked in holding a baby. "Eddie, this is Mandy, your daughter."

The unmutated Marguerite was a very virtuous woman, always hardworking and never complaining. For such a woman to end up as a monster infected by mold was truly unfortunate.

"I understand. You've worked hard. I'm sorry for putting you through this." Eddie took the little one. This was his daughter. Was she illegitimate? Probably not, since Uncle Baker knew and approved. He was an honest man!

Chapter 477: Marguerite's Request

Eddie looked at the distant patrol fleet. The conference looked extremely safe, but for some reason, his eyelids kept twitching, as if something bad was about to happen.

Given the current situation, even if missiles were flying everywhere, Eddie wouldn't necessarily be hit. As long as something had a magnetic field, he could control it. Thanks to the full expansion of his brain, he immediately grasped how to use his special ability.

The phone rang, and Rachel's charming voice came through, "Honey, Spencer broke out of jail and is currently wanted by The Federation!"

Eddie's confusion deepened. "Spencer escaped? Who helped him?"

"I don't know; no one seems to be able to find out. The President is currently furious, scolding everyone. If someone can snatch a person from The Pentagon's underground prison, wouldn't assassinating Senate dignitaries be child's play?" Rachel scoffed.

"It *is* child's play!" Eddie's tone was dismissive.

"I know you're powerful, but others aren't. By the way, honey, I discovered a secret about this Terragrigia event. General Morgan contacted many business representatives to attend, aiming to improve countermeasures against increasingly frequent global bio-terrorism attacks," Rachel whispered.

"And then? Ask them for investment?" Eddie pointed under the table. Marguerite looked confused until Jessica quietly explained, and she suddenly understood, crawling under the table to plug in the power.

"No. I found that the invitation list consists of representatives from consortiums who aren't fond of him, and even some sales area representatives from your company," Rachel's tone was serious.

Eddie leaned back comfortably, closing his eyes and enjoying himself. "Inviting people who dislike him? Is he planning to kill the chicken to warn the monkeys?"

"I don't know about that. I only found this point. Also, among the accommodations, there are three large cruise ships that were facing decommissioning more than ten years ago, but have been refurbished and are being used for hospitality. This hospitality is handled by an outsourcing company under the name of a Danish Senator."

"Furthermore, I noticed a very interesting phenomenon: that Senator doesn't have a good reputation, and the employees hired are all lowlifes and thugs. I'm quite looking forward to seeing what kind of joke they might make." Rachel's tone was cheerful; she always enjoyed watching from the sidelines.

"Wait, three ocean liners?" Eddie opened his eyes, tapping his fingers on the desk.

Terragrigia, three ocean liners—this looks exactly like a conspiracy! A familiar conspiracy!

"Yes, three identical cruise ships, just with different names. Alright, that's all the intelligence for now. Be careful. After the mission in Terragrigia, I have a month of vacation time." Rachel's tone became seductive, hinting at something.

"Great. When you come over, I'll definitely make sure you have fun." Eddie nodded, his tone full of mischief.

Hanging up the phone, Eddie looked at the blurry city in the distance, Terragrigia. "It's a nice city, unfortunately, it's become a battleground for ambitious people."

Half an hour later, Marguerite crawled out from under the desk, picked up a water cup, and took a drink to clean up. "Eddie, I need some money. Zoe went to boarding high school. I want to send her some money, and Lucas too."

Eddie raised his index finger and shook it. "I can give money to Zoe, but not Lucas. He is ill-intentioned. In his attic, there is the corpse of a classmate he locked up and starved to death years ago. Although that classmate wasn't a good person either, that kind of behavior isn't worth my investment."

Marguerite was somewhat incredulous. "Is that true? No wonder he never let me go to the attic. How could Lucas become like this?"

"It's normal. You can't go anywhere. Stay here obediently. Also, watch more horror movies during this time. You will undergo a test later, so be mentally prepared to make you braver." Eddie definitely wouldn't let this virtuous woman go.

Zoe could be invested in and perhaps utilized later. But Lucas was out of the question; he was an ungrateful wolf. Giving the money to him would be less worthwhile than spending it on himself to have fun.

Marguerite was disappointed but didn't dare refute him. She still had a daughter here, and she had to be responsible for her.

On an island in the South Pacific, Spencer arrived by helicopter. With Wesker's assistance, he once again escaped the control of The Federation and used the Simmons family to re-establish himself.

Although Spencer still looked old, he could now walk independently, and his muscles had recovered to the level of his middle age. He no longer looked like an old man on the verge of death, which gave him the confidence to continue living.
