Chapter 295 - 295

Rachel took out her modified Magnum. No matter how fast the Hunter moved, she could accurately hit it with a single shot.

The enormous Magnum bullet carried kinetic energy comparable to a sniper rifle. When a Hunter was hit at close range, there was no other option but for its head to explode.

As they passed a building, they saw more than a dozen people rapidly fleeing, seemingly employees of some company.

These people held their guns very professionally and showed no panic when facing biochemical weapons.

"Sir, hurry and leave here, it's too dangerous!" a beautiful black-haired woman in running shoes shouted as she ran.

"Thanks, but don't worry about me, you all go first." Eddie waved his hand, looking at the woman. She seemed a bit familiar; had he seen her somewhere before?

"Ah!" A scream rang out as a man with a gun was suddenly stabbed through, his entire body suspended in mid-air, a very strange sight.

The black-haired woman, however, decisively fired at a patch of air. After a distortion, a ferocious monster materialized from the air—it was the heavily injured cloaked creature!

With a large number of zombies swarming around, Rachel put away her Magnum, took out her tactical dagger, and assumed a martial artist's stance.

"Hurry, this is not a place to stay. Go to the City Hall, that's the safest place," the black-haired woman called out.

Bang! Just then, Eddie took out his Magnum and fired a shot into the air. A heavily injured cloaked creature was headshotted in mid-air and fell beside the black-haired woman.

This startled the black-haired woman; she had almost been hit without a sound! Seeing Eddie, she couldn't help but thank him, "Thank you, sir."

"You're welcome, I just thought you looked a bit like a friend of mine. Never mind, you should leave quickly, this isn't a place to linger." Eddie finished speaking and slapped a lunging zombie, sending it flying, spinning 360 degrees in the air, and crashing five meters away.

The black-haired woman was a bit stunned by this display of power. "Okay, thank you. I can confirm I haven't seen you before. My name is Mia. If we get a chance again, I'll treat you to a meal to show my gratitude!"

"Let's go!" Eddie waved his hand and led Rachel towards the disaster area.

A man asked doubtfully, "Mia, is that your friend?"

"Of course not, I don't know him. Ethan, focus on what's in front of you, don't get distracted. I don't discuss personal feelings during work," Mia said seriously.

That handsome young man was clearly Ethan, the man who would marry Mia in the future. However, with Eddie's appearance, the situation was hard to say.

Chapter 484: The Law States That People Cannot Be Arrogant

After bidding farewell to Mia and her group, Eddie continued to another Chemical Factory. There, General Morgan had already set up a small t-abyss production laboratory, where he could obtain original samples.

Even the most useless virus has its uses. Some used special plastic covers can even be made into bubblegum, let alone t-abyss. At worst, it could be used to clean toilets.

General Morgan had been monitoring Eddie's movements the whole time. When he discovered Eddie was approaching the factory, he panicked. There were still some loose ends he hadn't dealt with, and the people he sent were still en route. "Rachel, lead Eddie away, there's an ambush ahead."

"Understood!" Rachel replied.

"Hubby, that old dog Morgan is panicking a little," Rachel sneered.

"Then we'll just go in a different direction." Eddie wasn't planning on playing along with Morgan. He wanted to tie up some loose ends, to make that old dog Morgan hoist himself by his own petard!

The Greyhound Organization members were still transporting Hunters to the island. These Hunters had been bred for a year. There were over sixty thousand of them, a result of multi-party sponsorship.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, some members also began to snatch valuable items: gold rings, gold bars, US dollars. They grabbed anything valuable; if they didn't make a fortune from the disaster, they wouldn't be called terrorists.

The entire Terragrigia was in chaos; no one could remain uninvolved.

Norman did not stop his members' frantic looting. He needed to appease his subordinates. Moreover, he was also wary of some of General Morgan's plans for mutual destruction; that old dog would never let them off so easily. "When the cunning rabbit dies, the hounds are cooked"—this was probably not a dream.

Soon, as Eddie headed towards the factory, Special Forces Captain Neil had already arrived with his men, carrying a briefcase.

"Doctor Eddie, these are samples we seized from Greyhound Organization members. They should be related to this new type of virus. You few, escort the Doctor back with Captain Rachel." Neil's words carried a hint of threat, implying that Eddie should stop running around.

"Oh? I don't have time to research right now. I want some fruit tea. There's a good fruit tea shop on Snack Street, Seventeen Street. Since you're here, come along and get me a cup of fruit tea." Eddie lit a cigarette, acting like an uncultured Nouveau Riche who couldn't distinguish the situation.

"It's very dangerous everywhere right now, Doctor, you should reconsider that idea." Neil shook his head and refused.

"Oh, if you're not going, then I'll go myself!" Eddie showed no respect for the other party.

Neil had no choice but to point his gun at Eddie. "Doctor, this is military control time, please don't run around. You could be identified as a spy."

"Whether I will or not, you don't have the authority for that. You're just a dog under Morgan, and you dare to speak to me like that? You're tired of living, aren't you!" Eddie's eyes held extreme mockery.

"You!" Neil was instantly enraged. "General Morgan is my idol, watch your words."

Rachel snorted, "Neil, you're the one who needs to watch your words. Doctor Eddie is a strong supporter of our committee, and he pays your salary. It's not good to talk to our boss like that. If he withdraws his investment and these guys' salaries are gone, you'll be responsible."

Rachel would not let her man be wronged; if anyone was going to bully him, it was only her. Others wanting to bully her husband? No way, they weren't qualified.

Neil was so angry he couldn't utter a word. This was truly a bit condescending.

"Hmph, figured it out? Young man, you really don't seem to know who you're talking to." Eddie disdainfully blew smoke rings.

If Eddie hadn't appeared, the emotionally frustrated Claire might have still liked this mature and steady man, Neil.

But unfortunately, everything changed because of Eddie's appearance. Essentially, Eddie also stole Neil's person. This grudge, well, it's practically an endless feud. Neil just doesn't know it!

"Heh heh, I've been in the Marine Corps for so long and I've never seen anyone so arrogant!" Neil sneered, already struggling to suppress his anger.

"Is that so? Well, you've seen it today, I am that arrogant! Who says you can't be arrogant? Does the law of the Western Federation stipulate that people can't be so arrogant!" Eddie laughed wildly, a parvenu reeking of money! An enviable parvenu!

"You! Hmph, don't think you can do whatever you want just because you have money! There are still laws to punish you!" Neil was so angry he was incoherent.

"Sorry! Having money really is great, having money really means you can do whatever you want. I guess you wouldn't understand this level and feeling; you're just a Small-time Nobody. Get out of the way, or I'll have my team of lawyers sue you until you can't even afford underwear." Eddie snorted, blowing a smoke ring directly at the other person's face, an extreme personal insult!

"You!" Neil was about to make a move.

A teammate next to him quickly held him back, "Captain, a moment's patience brings calm!"

"Exactly, taking a step back makes you even angrier!" Eddie continued his savage taunting.

"Ah! Let's go! Don't mind him, let him die here!" Neil was furious but had no way to deal with the other party.

Just as they walked out of the building, a large truck smashed over, directly sending Neil flying.

A two-and-a-half-meter Tyrant pushed aside the scattered vehicles on the street, shaking its head as it searched for a target.

These special forces members immediately went to help Neil up, two of them carrying him as they retreated. The others were on alert; before the Tyrant attacked, they shouldn't provoke it.

"Beita Squad calling headquarters, we've encountered a full-form Tyrant on Fifth Avenue, Captain Neil is injured and unconscious, requesting support, requesting support!" the deputy captain shouted over the radio.

Against a Tyrant, calling for backup was the best option; their gear wasn't enough to take down a Tyrant.

At this moment, the underlying program was modified. The Tyrant looked at Neil, put him on a non-kill list, and then roared, attacking the other team members.

Its rapid running caused the ground to shake.

"Open fire!" the deputy captain roared.
