The nameless one stood there without moving.
He had been like that for many minutes. It was like he was a statue.
Meria grimaced as she walked out of the dome.
The dome surprisingly let her outside very easily like it was not even there. She accidently stumbled on a rock as her hand went outside.
She was sure that she would be trapped in there forever.
The sight Infront of her was harrowing. The once grand mansion was reduced to nothing but dust. Bloody spots of scarlet red was scattered through the courtyard.
The magnificent force of nature killed everyone in a brink and it didn't even looked fazed. Instead, it yawned as if this was a daily occurence.
'All of them are dead...'
Her breathing became rough and ragged as she clutched her chest in a panic.
The bloody view before her was not very gentle to her adolescent mind. Even though she came form the prison and possibly saw all kinds of horrors, she was still a kid.
The beast glanced at her in indifference and treaded towards the young girl.
Each step caused some concrete below her to crack and deform.
"You kid, are you with them?"
Meria looked at her hurriedly and bowed nervously.
"N-no, they brought us to this mansion three days ago and told us they would help us connect back to society."
The draconic creature looked towards her paw and scratched her other leg... or arm.
"...Makes sense. Is the boy with you?"
"Yes! he was brought in with me and others but they are-"
She paused and didn't answer. The gruesome truth had finally showed itself in her mind as she remembered.
She gritted her teeth as tears found their way across her cheek.
"Why is he just standing there?"
Meria glanced at him and scratched her head.
"I don't know. He has been like that for a while."

The one with no name's mind was a battlefield.
Neither side knew who would win but the battle raged on and on.
He was suspecting that it will be like this for an eternity till he died.
But at that moment,
A gentle touch caressed his cheek and everything changed. It was like a hot spring that made his mind indulge in ecstasy for a short period of time. It was the most relaxed he ever felt.
'Ah, this is so much better. Feels so good... but what was i doing? I can't seem to remember but it doesn't matter does it.'
The extreme stress that was put on his mind slowly vanished as the stalemate was turned into a win. But it was like a poison.
The feeling was slowly causing the one with no name to forget himself.
Even though he had no name, he had an identity or a semblance of one.
In the prison he was simply called 'boy' or 'youngling'. At one point of time he fully embraced his so-called name.
'Is someone calling me? by my name? but I don't have a name.'
The sounds grew more and more as the boy winced.
"Hey! boy wake up!"
Standing before him was a black-scaled creature with fur covering his neck. It's red ember was glowing brightly as it looked like it was... saying something.
"Wake the fuck up!!"
The creature was really saying something.
"I might have really gone mad."
The magnificent beast looked more and more agitated and lifted his paw and slapped him.
The blow was strong enough to cause him to fall back a few steps and landing like a ragdoll.
"No!!!"
Meria yelled as she covered her eyes in a panic.
The force of nature looked unamused as she growled.
"I haven't hit him hard... if I did he wouldn't have been here."
As the nameless boy groaned as he coughed hard.
He had landed near the corpse of the abomination. The blood puddle near the corpse rippled into a wave as a pebble dropped in it.
'Who was strong enough to kill Imus? he was pretty talented for a mortal."
The Black Dragon pondered for a while.
Imus was strong for his age and was ruthless... even more than some war veterans.
From what the Black dragon knew, there was no such man or woman capable to subdue or even kill him present in the mansion.
So who had killed him?
"Hey kid, who killed that corpse over there?"
Meria looked at the once fearsome man and flinched for a while.
"That boy killed him... not directly but he led to charge at the spikes and it impaled him."
The beast's eyes contracted from shock as her mouth gaped slightly.
'What?! How did that frail boy killed it even when he doesn't know lifeforce? this is interesting.'
Black Dragon's mouth curled upward into a bestial grin as she walked towards the nameless one.

'It has ended.'
The boy stared at the impaled body of the enraged man.
There was not an ounce of life left in his eyes. His mouth gaped open and it looked as if there was regret and sadness.
The boy didn't knew what the regret was for but he had a feeling.
He thought it was the regret of not achieving something greater, something more.
Perhaps the man wanted to reach the top of society or gain unsurmountable level of prowess and power.
But the boy surprisingly didn't felt anything more. He had no regret, sadness or even contempt that he killed an living being.
It was like he had done this hundreds of times and the emotion gained by killing became numb.
But before he could think anything a voice bellowed him.
"Hey boy, did you kill this one?"
The beast pointed towards the corpse with it's hands... or paws.
It was the same beast that had slapped him and threw him like an mannequin.
The beast was asking him which proved that he was not really gone mad.
Sunlight shone against the creature's black scale and ember eyes giving it a divine look. The white fur contrasted against the black skin exceptionally as if god designed it with passion.
"I simply drove him to death."
The boy's devoid answer and expression annoyed the Black Dragon greatly but a second later, she answered:
"Say boy, would you like to join the Black Dragon company?"
