The Elegant Assassin
Isabella didn't wait for an invitation. She walked into Nandini's small apartment like she owned the air within it.
Isabella didn't just enter Nandini's apartment; she colonized it. Dressed in a silk gown that whispered of old money and cold power, she looked around the small room with a pity that was more insulting than a slap.
"So, you're the famous 'Face of De Cruz,'" Isabella said, her voice like honeyed poison. She walked over to Nandini's apartment,I'm Isabella. I've lived in the De Cruz shadow since I was five. Our parents always joked we were two halves of the same coin. I just wanted to see what kind of girl could distract a man like Aditya from his destiny."
She leaned in, her perfume thick and suffocating. "He's a predator, darling. He doesn't love; he collects. And once he's bored of the 'common' charm, he'll come home to me. Because only I can bear the weight of his crown. You? You're just a beautiful mistake."
The Breaking Point
Nandini felt like her world was shrinking. The insult to her work, her life, and her heart was too much. She didn't cry in front of Isabella. Instead, she waited until the woman left.
Every word felt like a serrated blade. Nandini felt her dignity crumbling. She's right, she thought, her eyes shining. I was a fool to think a man who stops time would ever spend it on me,and i don't belong to this world,i want a normal life.
she took her contract and headed to the De Cruz tower.
She marched past the secretaries, her heart a drum of war. When she burst into Aditya's office, she found him standing by the window, looking out at the city as if he owned it—but his shoulders were slumped, his hand bandaged from the night before.
"Nandini," he whispered, turning quickly. He took a step toward her, his eyes searching hers. "About That day ... I was drunk. I was a monster. I'm sorry. I don't know why I behaved like that.I wanted to say sorry but you even didn't pic up my calls"
Nandini didn't move. She held out the envelope. "I'm terminating the contract, Aditya. I'm done. I want nothing to do with this industry or you.I'm done being your obsession, Aditya".
The Shattered King
Aditya's face went pale. The apology died in his throat, replaced by a cold, sharp panic. "Why? Because of one mistake? I'll make it up to you. I'll give you anything,I'll do whatever you say.I'll double the pay. I'll give you your dreams. I'll crawl on my knees if that's what you want—""
"I don't want anything from you!" she screamed, her voice cracking. "I'm getting married, Aditya. To A real man. Not a spoiled, possessive brat who thinks he can buy people's souls. To a man who sees a person, not a 'De Cruz' asset. and I'm going to forget you ever existed and whatever happened last day and I'm going to spend the rest of my life scrubbing the memory of your touch off my skin!"
The word marriage hit Aditya like a physical blow. The 20 years of restraint he had practiced suddenly snapped. He moved so fast the air seemed to ripple, pinning her against the glass wall of the office.
He didn't just hold her; he trapped her. He pressed his body against hers until she could feel the frantic, heavy thrum of his heart through his silk shirt. His hands were like stone on her waist, pulling her so close there wasn't a breath of air between them.
"You aren't marrying anyone," he growled, his voice a low, vibrating rasp against her ear. The violet energy in his eyes was swirling, dark and chaotic. "If you want a husband, you take me. I'll give you a name that makes the world tremble. But you think you can just walk away and give yourself to some Nobody? To let him touch you? To let him see what's Mine? To let him touch the skin I've marked? To let him havev you ?You're Just mine ,I can wait for your decision but can't accept any other man with you, No-one can touch you other than me " Nandini tried to break free but His jealousy was a living thing, poisonous ,dark and suffocating. He's Fully possessed by his Jealousy. He leaned down, his lips brushing the shell of her ear, his breath hot and ragged. "Tell me, .... Did he already take you to bed? After one lunch, did you already climb under his sheets? Is that why you're so eager to leave? Does he already know how you taste? Has he already put his hands on every part of your body that belongs to me?"
He trailed a hand up her neck, his thumb pressing against her jaw, forcing her to look at him. "Why don't you try me instead? I can give you a night that will make you forget that Man's name before the sun even rises. I can make you crave me so much you'll beg for this contract to last for an eternity."
The Echo of Hate
Nandini felt a jolt of electricity—a mix of terrifying and pure hatred, unadulterated hate. She looked at him, her eyes brimming with tears.
She gathered every bit of her strength and struck him. CRAACK. The slap was so hard his head snapped to the side.
"Is that all you see when you look at me?" she whispered, her voice trembling a broken, jagged thing. "A body? A prize to win? "A body to satisfy your ego? You're not a man, Aditya. You're a rascal. A monster. I hate you.I hate you. I hate that I ever meet you."
He let go of her, stunned. Nandini didn't wait. She grabbed her bag and ran, her sobs echoing through the hallway.
Aditya stood in the center of the room, the sting on his face a cold reminder of his failure. He looked at the white marble floor, then at his trembling hands. For the first time, the "God" of the De Cruz empire felt small. He saw a glass on his desk and smashed it with his bare hand, the shards slicing deep. As the dark red blood dripped onto the floor, he let out a choked, broken sound—half a sob, half a roar of agony.
He had lost her. And he had become the very monster she accused him of being.
