Chapter 6 – Before Sunset… Run

As Naz walked through the bustling alleys of the thriving kingdom, his eyes carefully observed everything around him.

He noticed an old woman struggling to climb a tall staircase.

Her steps were slow and unsteady.

Each step looked like a battle.

He glanced at her for a moment…

then looked away.

"Just a character… nothing real."

He continued walking.

One step…

Two steps…

Then he stopped.

He let out a slow breath and closed his eyes briefly.

"…But she's in pain."

He turned back.

Without a word, he approached her and slightly bent down.

"Do you need help?"

She lifted her head with difficulty, a faint smile on her wrinkled face.

Naz didn't wait for her answer.

He leaned down and carried her on his back, slowly climbing the stairs.

His steps were steady… despite her weight… and despite something heavier within him that he still couldn't understand.

He reached her house, a small place at the end of the alley.

He gently set her down and turned to leave.

"...You have a kind heart."

He stopped.

"…Even though you carry demonic power."

Naz froze for a moment.

His heart trembled…

But he didn't turn back.

He kept walking.

After a while, Naz sat in front of a luxurious house, his eyes fixed on an open window.

Inside…

Chimini.

The little girl was cleaning the floor, carrying water, working silently.

No complaints.

No resistance.

Just silence.

Naz felt a tightness in his chest.

He took out Fifi's notebook.

He opened it and began reading:

"On my first day here… I knew nothing."

"I thought this kingdom was safe… even perfect."

"But as the sun began to set… everything started to change."

"I ran… I fled… I didn't understand what was happening… until I collapsed."

"When I woke up… I found myself wrapped in a strange cloak."

"Then I realized… they couldn't see me while I was wearing it."

"After a few days, I kept testing it… again and again… just to be sure."

"Every time… the result was the same. I became completely invisible to them."

"I don't know who saved me…"

"But someone is watching… from the shadows."

Naz slowly closed the notebook.

He exhaled.

"Nothing useful right now…"

He looked up at the sky.

The sun was beginning to set.

A long shadow stretched across the ground…

Then a thought struck him.

The old woman.

He stood up immediately.

"…I have to go back."

He stood in front of her door.

He knocked.

Knock… knock… knock…

Her voice came from inside, trembling:

"Leave… leave this place… go away!"

Naz froze.

He slowly opened the door.

He saw her.

But she wasn't the same.

Her face was distorting…

Her eyes widened in a terrifying way…

Her voice was no longer human.

He stepped back.

"No…"
