Chapter 7 – Katana Out of Control
Naz tried to pull back his hand…
But it didn't respond.
It moved on its own.
The sword was drawn.
One step…
Then another…
Toward the old woman.
"Stop! Stop! Stop!" Naz shouted.
"She's a kind woman!"
But his body was no longer his.
He raised the sword.
At that moment…
A strange feeling pierced through his chest.
A familiar voice…
"Live… my beloved child."
His eyes widened.
"Stop!"
The sword didn't strike.
Instead…
It stopped right in front of her forehead.
Then it touched it.
In an instant…
Dark energy exploded.
Black glows filled the room.
A terrifying roar came from within her.
Her body began to shake violently.
Then…
Something came out of her mouth.
A black, mist-like spirit… twisting.
It screamed with hatred:
"Curse you, human… you will regret this… you will regret it!"
Then it vanished.
The old woman's body collapsed to the ground.
Silence.
Naz breathed heavily.
He looked at the sword in his hand…
His hand was trembling.
"What… is this?"
He quickly bent down, carried her, and placed her on her bed.
He sat beside her… waiting.
His mind was filled with questions.
What is this sword?
Who was that thing?
Why do I hear that voice…?
"Live… my beloved child…"
Time passed slowly.
Then…
The old woman moved.
She slowly opened her eyes.
She looked at him.
This time… her gaze was clear.
"You…"
She paused, then whispered:
"You saved me…"
Naz leaned closer.
"What was that?!"
She closed her eyes briefly, then spoke in a tired voice:
"That… wasn't me…"
She went silent…
Then opened her eyes and stared at him seriously.
"This kingdom… is not what it seems."
Naz's heart trembled.
She continued:
"In the day… there is life."
"And at night…"
She stopped.
Her breathing grew heavier.
Then she whispered:
"Death."
Silence filled the room.
She looked at him deeply, fear in her eyes.
"If you want to survive…"
Time seemed to freeze.
"…leave."
