Jake sighed but said nothing, Madeline had become responsible lately. She could keep herself in check.
Madeline just got in the elevator when she heard her name. "Miss Madeline please hold the door" the voice came again. She looked and it was Stefan, the artiste from the office just now so she used her leg to stop the door from closing.
He got in and smiled "Thank you Miss Madeline"
"Just call me Madeline"
"Mi… Madeline thank you for this opportunity, I don't know if you know this but I am the least popular in my group so this is really huge for me. The CEO said you requested for me. I don't know why but I would not let you down"
Madeline smiled at Jake using her as a shield. She didn't even know this guy so when did she request for him. Anyways it was better than being partners with a white lotus so it's fine.
The elevator dinged as they got to the ground floor.
She gave him a slight smile but said nothing in response before proceeding to walk away. Stefan stood awkwardly for some seconds before offering "Do you want me to drive you? I am a really good driver"
Madeline stared at him for some seconds… just when Stefan was beginning to feel uneasy "what I am going to do is not for little kids"
"I am not a kid, I am eightteen years old"
"That's what I said… kid"
Stefan slightly lowered his head saying nothing. Madeline frowned "if you want to come you can but I will drive"
His face brightened with a smile "Thank you"
Madeline smirked as they headed out, they arrived at the parking lot and as soon as she pressed the key, the headlights of a pagani sports car lit up.
She whistled as the car door opened slowly like wings.
Seeing the cool pagani sports car, Stefan was awed. Most guys loved sports cars and he was no different. He came from a poor family so he couldn't afford one and had had only seen them in magazines but he knew all about them.
He ran to it looking at the car in admiration, his hand hesitant to reach forward like even a little touch could ruin it.
"Cool huh" Madeline asked noticing his whole demeanour.
"This is a limited edition, a pagani limited edition sport car. There are not up to fifteen of these cars in the country right now and it is worth more than ten million". He was still rambling on when he heard the roaring engine.
Madeline looked up "Are you going to get in"
He quickly ran to the other side, after calming down, he looked at Madeline and noticed how calm she was. Well it was quite normal for the little princess of the Myers group to drive a ten million sports car that's probably why she was so cool.
How could he know it's because Madeline felt this car was quite normal to what she used in the past. She didn't know where the feeling came from but she knew, so she figured she must have been quite rich in the past.
"Where are we going?"
"There is someone who has been causing a nuisance for some time now… I am going to beat her up" Madeline answered.
Stefan laughed "Oh yeah… how are you going to do that" he paused looking at Madeline, she didn't look like she was joking.
The car came to a stop in front of an alley "Stay in the car" she stated
Stefan looked outside the window, the person who Madeline was meeting with looked like an hooligan. He panicked. Rosa had told him Madeline was going to destroy his career but he didn't think it was going to on be the first day they met.
He quickly pulled his cap to cover his face more. Madeline gave the man an envelope and got into the car.
"Are.. we going back to the office?" Stefan asked all tensed up.
Madeline smiled at him "Let's go... kidnap someone".
Ava felt a bit uneasy at heart. Too much had been going happening recently and she was very tired.
This morning her daughter told her how bad she looked. Her skin was breaking and she couldn't fall asleep.
She decided to go to a spa. This new one recommended by her friend.
As soon as she reached, she was ushered into her room, she noticed how few their staffs were and they didn't have too many customers but she didn't think much of it.
Her friend said it was a new place and their services were really good so she decided to give it a try. Besides the place looked serene and gave off a peaceful vibe.
She lay down, intending to force herself to sleep, but as soon as she lay down, two men barged in from outside. Without a word, they rushed over, showing no consideration for her, grabbing her arms roughly and pulling her out of bed.
"You…"
What kind of robbers were this? Ava panicked, she was still in a bath robe and she could not be kidnapped this way.
"Stop… do you know who i am, I will give you whatever you want, just name it. My husband is…" before she could finish her sentence, one of them struck her on her neck intending to knock her out but it didn't work.
She looked around and noticed the rest of the staff tied up so she started screaming instead hoping for her driver to hear her outside. She regretted telling him to park a bit further as her friend had instructed. She told her if the staffs saw the kind of car she drove they would charge more and try to exploit her.
The other one quickly brought out a towel soaked in sleep inducing drugs, tightly covering her mouth and nose.
Ava struggled hard, her eyes wide with shock and anger, but she ultimately could not resist the drugs and they soon took effect. Her eyes dropped and she was too weak to struggle before finally losing consciousness.
"Quick take her away"
They quickly dragged her into their van and zoomed off.
They soon arrived at the address given to them. It was a run down warehouse at the outskirts of town. The owner thought it was hunted and tried to sell it off but no buyer, it gradually became abandoned.
