There was silence for a bit.
"Well then, I've indeed heard some talk about a group of kids bullying students from the start of the school year. So you say the ringleader was Delaney?" Dean Walters wiped some sweat off his face as he tried to keep it neutral.
Oh, I'd definitely have to look into this Demon Technology place later.
"Dean Walters!" Delaney's mom snapped.
"It's not your turn to speak anymore, ma'am," Dean Walters said suddenly looking as though he'd figured something out. "I'm not saying this to pass blame we've just been building the full picture and stating the facts. And the facts are Melody Grace is one of our top achieving students so there must've been a reason to put all that hard work on the line. We should hear what she has to say to keep this hearing fair."
What?
I'm finally getting asked my side? If I had zero backing I don't think the Dean would've listened to a thing I had to say. Funny, if someone had just listened to me like this before at least school wouldn't have been so shitty.
"I told many teachers about what was going on already but every time I'd either get brushed off and ignored when worse things happened," I said. "I did send Delaney to the ER but why am I sitting here because I hit her like three times. Because I went to far? No, it's because you all thought I had no support at all. What if I had killed myself, even if i mentioned everything it'd just get covered up."
Mr. Arthurs actually had the audacity to look ashamed. That wasn't actually my goal but if he pitied me enough he'd be easier to work with in the future.
"Punish the people who did stuff first. If not I'll spread the scandal outside of the school and maybe then people will start looking into that suicide from two years ago," I said. "The only way to shut my mouth is by definitive punishment."
"I'll never let my daughter take responsibility for this!" Delaney's mom snapped pulling out her phone. "You're both full of crap. Just you wait until my husband hears about this!"
She actually put it on speaker as well.
I actually got a bit nervous here.
""Hello?"" A gruff voice answered.
"Honey listen to me! I told you about the disciplinary meeting! These people are now framing this to be all our Delaney's fault! And just for the reason the bitch has a sponsor who's the eldest son of Demon Technologies! The ungrateful bastards at the school are ignoring our good standing relationship! Where are you? Get over here now!"
""... so Darius Malverne is the perpetrators sponsor?"" The man on the line asked.
Delaney's mom's face went smug. "So you know them? That's good! Come quickly and show these low lives-"
""HOW COULD YOU ACT UP THIS WAY TOWARDS THE ELDEST SON OF DEMON TECHNOLOGY?!! DO YOU WANT OUR BUSINESS TO FAIL?!! GET BACK HOME BEFORE YOU MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSELF AND RUIN MY BUSINESS FOREVER WOMAN!!! AND I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENED, JUST LET DELANEY TAKE ALL THE BLAME!!!"" The man screamed.
Delaney's mom quickly went pale and hung up before looking from me to Darius in terror and confusion.
Dean Walters cleared his throat to fill the awkward silence. "We're going to give the student Melody Grace 15 hours of community service as the price for school violence. As for you Delaney, your actions now may now have an impact on your academic future."
The room froze.
I thought I heard wrong.
Delaney finally had a reaction other than crying like a baby. She was visibly pissed even with her face messed up. "YOU FUCKING LOSER BITCH!!!!" She screamed.
She tried lunging at me but her mom caught her. "A-apologize Delaney." Her mom said with a scared look.
Delaney's face crumbled and suddenly I found myself staring at a big crying toddler pounding her fists on the ground and stomping her feet.
***
The deliberation ended awkwardly but it was the most satisfying thing ever.
The bitch got expelled!
Victory is sweet!
During her tantrum she lifted a chair and struck the Dean several times drawing blood. Her mom tried to stop her but in the end police had to be called to escort her out.
I wish I'd gotten to hit her though. I've got layers and layers of feelings accumulated towards her. I wanted her to suffer more for instigating the class to turn against me.
"What's Demon Technology?" I asked.
"One of the biggest technology companies worldwide."
"Are the workers there demons too?" I asked.
"No. I saw the potential of doubling our supply of sustenance in technology and capitalized under a physical business entity. That's why I can be so powerful in the devildom. I may be the owner but a 300 year stay in the demon world and your father tricking me has left me in an... uncertain position."
"What decides who gets to take over?" I asked.
"Whoever's the most powerful is in charge."
Hm.
Why not use that?
"So explain to me why I was needed there as a nice sponsor? How was being merciful going to get me food? I thought you would've just killed all of them and that's why you brought me." Darius scoffed.
"I needed backing." I told him.
"If you need money just ask me," Darius said.
"It's true I need your money for the things I'm going to have to do. But if I just simply needed money there are other ways like getting a job," I said.
In order to completely destroy the enemy with a lot of things, I should have a lot of things too. Among the things I need for my wish, there's really only one thing I need from Darius.
It's power.
"I'll be honest with you, I'm planning on causing a lot of trouble in the school. Not just minor stuff either, but accidents big enough to cause legal problems. And every time it happens I hope you'll back me up and help me solve the issue. With you backing me I'm sure it'll get harder and harder for people to keep on messing with me. If you can do that properly then no matter what I have to do, I will make you the most powerful demon leading Demon Technology or maybe even something higher than that." A perfect school record was literally my only anchor to innocence left and I intended to keep it.
Darius raised a brow and his eyes glowed a bright red as he took my hand. Did that mean he liked my bargain? "I'll cover up whatever is needed so you'd better not disappoint me."
I can do it!
Now to escalate further.
