People kept staring at me.
And staring.
And whispering!
And it wasn't because of anything I did. It was all speculation about how I managed to pull someone like Darius into my orbit and what I could've possibly done to make him claim me his wife.
The topic was so gossiped about that I heard several theories. My least favorite being that I'd somehow used some kind of voodoo by sacrificing Lia to get him.
It got me some very unwanted attention from the occult club who interrupted a class to demand to know my methods and what demons I summoned. They all got detention for it of course but it was still highly embarrassing.
To make matters worse, Darius was actually acting exactly how I'd asked him to. He's clinging to me and keeps kissing me in front of people. To anyone else it looked like I was disinterested, which confusingly drew even more criticism.
Because how dare I not be interested. God can nothing good come from a demon even if it's what you ask for?
