Chapter 44 - No Reason

I ended up not killing her in the park where I could be seen by someone. Somehow, I managed to come to my senses enough to drag her under the bridge near the river where no one could see us.

I used her own shoelaces to tie her hands tightly to a tall, thick, sturdy tree behind her back, and I blindfolded her with one of my socks, the smell of grain alcohol coming from her was making my stomach turn. I also slipped Lia's necklace into her pocket for good measure.

In all honesty I was super relieved to finally be able to stop carrying it with me.

"Ugh, I think my ribs are broken," I heard Helen groan from where she was slumped against the tree.

Ugh, finally. "You awake?" I asked.

She looked around frantically, her head whipping from side to side under the sock in confusion. "What is this? What the hell do you think you're doing right now? Let me go, I think my ribs are broken, let me go!" Helen demanded in an increasingly panicked screech.
