"Doomed to die, doomed I tell you." She bitterly lamented like a grieving widow, that'd just lost her husband. Earning a raised brow from aurelien, a bit surprised at her sudden change in expression.
'Weird.'
Ignoring the drama queen behind him, aurelien sapphire eyes locked onto the advancing beasts. They were slowly closing the distance between them, not in a rush having them cornered.
Abruptly stopping about five meters out, their red eyes stared down in disbelief at their fallen comrade. Laying lifelessly on the cold floor, with two holes in it's skull and heart region.
"Yeah that's right, he didn't put up much of a fight to begin with." Aurelien taunted, aiming to instill fear into the predators heart.
"A-are you insane!? What the hell are you doing idiot?" Reinara pouted with pale eyes.
She'd been in a paralyzed mood from fear, wishing for a miracle. But never did she expect it to come in the form of this strange human, that didn't posses any mana on him.
Which was strange alarming, considering he took down a basic tier beast. Containing a little amount of mana in it, coating it's body, making it's hide tougher and senses sharper.
"Shh~ Don't worry, I got this." Aurelien whispered, gesturing with his hand for Reinara to keep quiet while he worked his magic.
"Yeah that's right bullies, the disciplinary action didn't last up to a minute. Tsk, kinda weak if you ask me." The cocky young male with gold hair continued, staring the wolves dead on in the eyes.
'That should do the trick.' Aurelien snickered inwardly, utilizing the element of fear and loss on these beasts.
They were predators and savage creatures, but they were still living things. And while they lacked intelligence, acting on instinct, he decided to get somewhat leverage on them.
"Bastard. You're only getting them more pissed." Reinara butted in, noticing the flaring rage contained in both wolves eyes.
'Shit! I can't believe I'm going to spend the last seconds of my life besides a psychopath.' Reinara wrapped her hands against her hair, rocking herself like a cradle.
"Women. So dramatic.." The man with thin frame narrowed his gaze, at the fiery red haired woman overreacting attitude.
Tilting his head back to the wolves, he could see their pace had increased. From casually walking, to a slight version of running at slow speed.
"Alright then dogs, guess it's just you and me."
Pointing the black horns to them, aurelien feet stepped forward. One after another in a slow yet deliberate pace, refraining from aimlessly charging into battle.
'I can't use the element of surprise or height against them. They're bodies physically attribute far surpassed mine no doubt, so I'm basically walking into a liability here.' Aurelien listed out the flaws in this fight, which was literally against him in every angle he'd analyzed.
'I may be outnumbered and overpowered, but I'm not alone.' Clenching his fist, the single black antelope horn he'd managed to extract was positioned tightly in his clutch.
The other still stuck in the dead wolf eyes, shockingly deeming impossible to pull out.
Grooowll!
The first wolf by the right lunged at him, it's body arched forward like a spear. The tip of it's claws aimed directly for Aurelien's head, flashing a faint silver glow in the now darkening skies.
"It's fast." The attack speed was too fast for him to keep up with, not mentioning effectively dodging in time.
Left with no choice, he brought hands up to his head area with a swift motion. Blocking the damage with the black horn, placed horizontally in front of his head.
"And it's really strong too." Aurelien gritted his teeth, sent skidding back some steps from that collision.
The wolf sizes were considerably small, despite having a unique build resembling wild dogs. No more than 4 meters tall, but the sheer power contained in them counterfeited their bodies.
Awooo!
The second wolf beast appeared by the left, utilizing it's speed to pounce on aurelien. It's jaw wide open, revealing it's set of sharp canine teeth waiting to chomp off his head.
'Not good, I lost focus for a second.' Aurelien struggled, placing the durable horn in the beast mouth. Blocking it's advancement from dissecting his head.
"Argh! So this is what pain feels like." The ravaging wolf's paws pressed down on his shoulders, with great might. Pinning him in place, while it's silver claws pierced into his shoulder joints.
Drawing out warm blood, painting his woven sacks cloth red at shoulder length. The smell of fresh blood reached the beast nostrils, surging it's aggressive state more. Furiously clawing to have a bite at Aurelien's head.
Awooo!
The second beast charged at him with bloodshot eyes, saliva drooling down it's open mouth. A primal ferral instinct kicking in the savage creature mind.
"I can't get up, what was I thinking embarking on this suicide mission." Aurelien clicked his tongue, regretting his decisions.
Born in poverty with a small life, he never dreamed big. It wasn't that the thought never came, but he just never dared accept the fact that heaven would smile on him one day.
Cause why would they? If the world was an invested corrupt environment, infested by darkness. Why would anyone asides his parents even bother about his survival?
"Come on Exlor, I know you can hear me. I need your help!" Aurelien yelled at the top of his lungs, barely keeping the first wolf at bay. With the arrival of the second, darting downwards swiftly to his defenseless head.
"Virto explosia!" A sweet voice cut through the air, followed by the protrusion of a fireball. Hitting the second wolf beast in it's skull, before it got the chance to prance on aurelien.
But that wasn't all. No, the fireball paved way to a secondary attack. Specifically a small scale explosion, pushing the wolf beast back some meters. An extension of the flames burning a small part of the flesh on it's skull.
"She's helping me?" Aurelien's eye widened in disbelief and a mix of shock, watching the petite beauty still here.
He'd longed expected her to make a run for it, using him as a distraction while the wolf beasts picked him apart.
"Virto explosia! Virto explosia!" She continued, her small wooden stick stretched out.
A small red glow would form at the tip of the wood, followed by the swift materialization of the football sized fireballs.
"Don't just stand there stupid. I don't know how long I can maintain this before I loose consciousness." She snapped his mind out from the trance.
Nodding, aurelien understood what she meant. Searching the wolf body, he looked for an alternative weak spot to temporarily serve as an escape route.
"If I can't overpower it, I'll have to outsmart it." That was the best logic he leaned into, using his mind rather than brute strength.
Looking downwards, his eyes caught hold on a familiar restricted region. "I'm sorry Mom and Dad, but I'll have to play dirty."
Using his free leg, he slammed his right knee into the wolf's exposed balls dangling beneath it's black fur.
Crack!
A-woo~
A low shout escaped the wolf beast mouth, a sense of fear and disbelief lingered in it's eyes watching this human. Even the fiery red haired woman also had a shocked expression, not expecting such move from aurelien.
"Monsters." She muttered underneath her breath, her ember pupils a bit hollow.
There was no doubt risks associated with squaring off with a beast, often resulting in death or severe injury. So it was implemented to use buzzare methods, if the situation ever arose.
Which it did, almost 99% of the time with these savage predators. But staring into Aurelien's eye, there wasn't a shroud of fear he'd shown so far.
Even going as far as taunting these beasts, that could slaughter him in the blink of an eye. Playing with their instincts and using their weapon against them. Fear.
"Time to test something out."
Now free, he plunged the sharp tip of the black horn into the wolf heart. As for how he knew where it was? His hearing and sense of smell had gotten a little increase for reasons unknown.
A-woo-oo
The wolf barely howled properly as aurelien plunged the horn, acting as a spear deep into it's heart. Located at the right side, adjacent to the normal setting on the left.
Thump!
With a light thud the wolf body fell. It's eyes white and lifeless laying in it's pool of blood.
"Are you done sympathizing with that thing!?" Reinara pulled his attention, struggling to keep up casting those explosive fireballs.
"On it." Grabbing the horn out from the chest, he noticed it was relatively easier than when stuck in the skull.
"Reinara! I need a big one, now." Aurelien yelled, running forth in a straight line.
'Does he plan of facing that thing head on, just what's going on in that plank head of his?' She pursed her lips into a slight frown.
Not accustomed to Aurelien's ways, but went along with it without a choice.
"Invertio Explosia!" She chanted. And like magic, the wind paused for a moment. Taking in the weight of those words she uttered, and in a fraction of a second the atmosphere changed. Rapidly heating up with a terrifying rising temperature.
