Later that day, Dylan sat with his friend Jason near the picnic area.
"You've been acting weird," Jason said.
"I have not," Dylan replied.
"You have," Jason insisted. "It's Sharon, isn't it?"
Dylan didn't answer.
Jason smirked. "I knew it."
Dylan sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"I think I like her," he admitted quietly.
"Think?" Jason laughed. "You've liked her for a while."
Dylan looked down.
"Maybe," he said.
Jason leaned closer. "So what are you going to do?"
Dylan glanced across the field.
Sharon stood with Mia, laughing.
"I'm going to tell her," he said.
"Finally," Jason said. "About time."
Dylan smiled slightly.
He was done hiding it.
