Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Abnormal Merchandise

The prices ranged from 10,000 to 50,000 points.

Gojo Satoru had absolutely zero interest in these items. Setting aside the fact that they required Popularity Points to exchange, even back before he had transmigrated, he had no use for them whatsoever.

Besides these, there were some simpler options, like the Barrier Techniques that sorcerers were generally expected to master, or things like Simple Domain. Gojo's interest in these was equally thin. Anything related to Jujutsu failed to pique his curiosity anymore; he had already stood at the peak of that mountain for a long time, only a single step away from the absolute summit. Looking back at these techniques now, even if there were some he hadn't personally mastered, he still didn't care.

They were simply redundant.

However, in addition to the items and abilities from his previous world, this category also contained many abilities and items native to this current world. What interested Gojo most was the so-called "Magic."

It was divided into six main categories: Fire (controlling heat), Water (related to life force and healing), Wind (governing the exterior of living things), Earth (governing the interior of living things), Yin (controlling negative effects), and Yang (controlling positive buffs). Each elemental type, depending on the incantation, had four different stages of prefixes used to enhance power. For example, Fire magic scaled from Goya, El Goya, Ul Goya, to Al Goya.

Subconsciously, Gojo thought of the magic the girl in the alleyway had used. In all likelihood, it was either Fire or Water attribute. He scrutinized the descriptions and effects of these spells.

These low-level magics weren't expensive—roughly around 30,000 Popularity Points. As for their power, he couldn't gauge it perfectly and had to rely on the text. For instance, the most basic Wind magic could release wind blades at high speeds, powerful enough to cleave through wood, stone, or flesh.

That kind of power was decent against ordinary people, but in Gojo's eyes, it was pathetic. He was interested in the power system of a world he hadn't explored yet, not just a single, mediocre skill. After a quick scan, he had no intention of redeeming any of them.

After skipping past Magic, new items appeared: abilities known as Divine Protections (Blessings).

These were unique to this world, and their effects were blunt and straightforward. Native residents of this world had a chance to awaken a Divine Protection the moment they were born. The effects and types were bizarre and varied, much like a lottery—some were even bordering on nonsensical.

In the list, Gojo spotted something called the Divine Protection of Salt. Its effect was incredibly simple: the user will never mistake sugar for salt.

Looking at this, Gojo's lip twitched slightly. He felt like this was a blessing designed specifically for idiots. What was the point? What sane person couldn't tell sugar and salt apart? And yet, there it was, presented grandly in his list, requiring 10,000 points to exchange.

This wasn't an isolated case. There were several similar Divine Protections:

Divine Protection of Shoelaces: Shoelaces will never come untied.Divine Protection of Layering: Clothes can be worn in layers.

Gojo could only think: Wait, aren't these things you can just... do anyway?

After looking around, he realized that almost nothing in Tier 1—whether item or ability—had any practical use for him. He decided not to waste any more time there and jumped straight to the final Tier 4 to see what the "good stuff" looked like. The final tier was supposed to represent the best of both worlds; surely it wouldn't disappoint. He was quite curious about the top-tier Divine Protections of this world.

With that expectation, Gojo opened the final list. The very first exchangeable item made him pause.

[Power of Harmony]

Price: 1,000,000 Popularity Points (Prerequisite: Master the Ten Shadows Technique)

Effect: The ability of the strongest Shikigami summonable by the Ten Shadows Technique—Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga. It allows for the conceptual adaptation to any and all phenomena until the user becomes completely immune to said concept.

He knew about the Ten Shadows Technique. It was one of the hereditary techniques of the Zenin clan, one of the Big Three families of the Jujutsu world, allowing the user to summon Shikigami using shadow puppets. As a member of the Gojo clan, he was no stranger to the Zenin family; they had a long history of friction and cooperation.

But this "Power of Harmony"... he had never heard of it.

'The Shadow Technique, huh? Tsk tsk tsk.' Gojo narrowed his eyes, deep in thought. Even though he didn't recognize the name "Power of Harmony," the effect was obviously powerful. Adapting to all phenomena and eventually becoming immune to the concept...

Take "slashing" as an example. Different weapons and styles produce different slashes. One could dodge, parry, or even use the Limitless to ensure the attack never reaches them. But this Power of Harmony was different. According to the description, once adapted, the user becomes completely immune to the concept of a slash. From then on, no matter how strong the opponent or how destructive the attack, as long as it was a "slash," it would be useless against him. It wasn't even about defending with Limitless anymore; it was total insulation.

Exaggerated. It was the only word for it.

This power of adaptation, even from Gojo Satoru's perspective, was heaven-defying. If one mastered this and had time to adapt, they would be truly invincible in every sense of the word.

'When did the Zenin clan get such a broken ability?' Gojo rubbed his chin, feeling a bit puzzled. If it were truly this ridiculous, the Jujutsu world wouldn't be dominated by the Big Three; the Zenin clan would have ruled alone.

It was clear that even the Zenin themselves probably hadn't fully mastered this power. It had only been unearthed now because of the Supporting Character System. They were sitting on a mountain of treasure without even knowing it.

'If I'd known, I would've paid more attention to them earlier.' He had never given the Zenin much thought; no one there was worth his concern. In his mind, his only impression of the Zenin clan was that they were the Gojo clan's "rivals," even to the point where heads of both families had once killed each other in a mutual strike.
