As the kobolds Created a semi-circle around him they started leading him to their village 15 of the soldiers stayed behind to guard the valley pass as he entered the Cut off plains it was filled with water apple trees and lots of food they guided him to the village which was guarded by crude wooden stake barricade's they brought him in after communicating with the guards they requested him to come in but Daniel decided to stay outside and wait for their chieftain it was the Best course of action suddenly the gate Opened again.
The chieftain a 23 year old greater kobold his scales which war once bright red were now a dull shade of red this was because he was two years away from dying of old age regular kobolds only lived to be 15 but after evolving into greater kobolds their lifespan increases by 10 years the Chieftain had a rusty sword strapped to his back the Cheiftain greeted him with kindness kobold chieftain:"o'mighty wyvern my subordinates told me you wish to become our master and give us names" Daniel was currently stronger than this entire village combined so he saw no need to lie to them.
Daniel:"yes that is true I i'm looking for subordinates to start my territory" the kobold cheiftain smiled And spoke with the warmth in his voice Born from nearly 2 decades of experience kobold cheiftain:"ah thank you for choosing us we may be The weakest of all kobold clans but it doesn't mean we're not any less resilient" Daniel nodded at his words he didn't care how strong they were because he could simply make them strong it wasn't gonna be that difficult anyway all he had to do was give them names.
Daniel:"gather everyone including the villagers i'm going to name all of you" The chieftain was surprised he had never heard such words he was informed by his subordinates they were getting names but he thought he was just his army not every single person in the village but the stronger the better the cheiftain went through with the command and as Group of 80 kobolds strong plus Counting the Valley pass guards were just come to join them now that was 95 kobolds.
The chieftain Had to calm down the crowd as they were all very excited to see a wyvern the cheiftain proceeded to look at Daniel and not suddenly as he walked down and stood in front of the crowd allowing Daniel to do a speech Daniel:"attention kobolds I have come to name Every single one of you and turn you into my subordinates any objectors maybe free to leave but do not be mistaken you will be out casted to never return" all the kobolds started celebrating yelling and shouting throwing their weapons in the air which was mainly crude spears and some axes.
After the chieftain calm down his people he then took over and explained how this was going to happen kobold cheiftain:"now everyone lineup in a single file line and each of you will receive a name as a demonstration I will be going first" the cheiftain stepped up to Daniel both The chieftain and Daniel were prepared for this for the chieftain he was about to get named which was something big around this universe and for Daniel this was going to be one out of 95 subordinate The first name had to mean something and Daniel head came up with the perfect name.
Daniel:"hence forth from the day on your name Shall be soran" The chieftain was ecstatic as light enveloped him adatheon told Daniel sewer and water boils in the next few hours as kobolds got in line to be named a few hours away in a dark cave a a greater demon who was given a name by a human cultist called Darren this greater demon name was 'dread' How do used to summoning magic art to summon some more imps to be his army suddenly a small group of them had returned dread spoke casually and loosely dread:"where are the corpses did you traitorous imps try and take the souls for yourselves and evolve" one of the imps stepped up to him because they couldn't speak human language they started speaking in demonic tongue dread eyes did as he proceeded to grab the imp by the throat and choke it as he drained it soul he shouted at the others.
Dread:"useless trash what do you mean you were retreated because a wyvern showed up how am I supposed to evolve into an arch demon if I don't meet the soul requirements you know what I have no use for you but maybe I do need to step up my militaristic game" dread smiled in a demonic fashion as he opened two summoning circles behind him the imps scared and tried to flee but it was too late he extended his hand forcefully turning them into magicules as he sacrifice them into the summoning circles summoning two lesser demons dread turned it to them as they knelt down dread:"you work for me now you better not disappoint or else you won't like what happens afterwards gather as many imps as you need go to the kobold Village and get me souls I didn't return you will be rewarded with names".
The lesser demons nodded meanwhile back at kobold village Daniel had just finished naming everyone move them immediately evolved into greater kobolds but some of them went a little further and became winged kobolds which were just greater kobolds with wings but they're magicules and lifespans shot up crazy high The total amount for regular kobold was 3,000 And on rare occasions 6,000 but now that majority of them have evolved into greater kobolds there magicule Count shot up to 24,000 and for the winged kobolds there magicule Count shut up to 35,000 to 42,000 but the chieftain Soren Who has the most experience and probably highest magicule Count out of all of the other kobolds dude is she your age in battle experience evolved into a minor class sovereign monster called the kobold lord with magicules of up to 145,000 he was nearly reaching Daniel level who sat at a staggering 180,000.
Little did the kobolds know they were going to be attacked in the next 3.1 hours A little did both of the lesser demons and imps know this that this battle is going to be extremely one-sided but aside from that Daniel looked over the crude weapons of his new subordinates and I immediately realized they would not suffice in the long run Daniel spoke Daniel:"bring me to your quarry" the kobolds Who were originally miners using rusty iron pickaxes showed him the way as he and some greater kobold fighters entered Daniel immediately noticed multitudes of exposed bronze deposits.
Daniel turn towards them and spoke very confused Daniel:"You guys have been finding bronze this whole time and haven't made new weapons why?" The cheiftain responded soran:"because its useless it has no value so we just ignore it" Daniel soon remember kobolds we're still only a stage two civilization they were still in the crude development stage but now that he was there a master he could certainly speed up their development.
Daniel turned around and started communicating mentally with his ultimate skill Daniel:'Can I use glutton to eat the bronze and transforming into a weapon' suddenly adatheon proceeded to respond.
Adatheon:«yes with my capabilities it is 100% possible just create a mental image of what you want me to make in your head and I can replicate it»
Daniel Wind up to a bronze ore node clamped his jaws around it toward out the wall and crunched hard causing it to break into pieces swallowing majority of the bronze he then pictured an image of a bronze spear Adatheon gotcha works analyzing and from its magic space A polished bronze spear fell Flatly on the ground its helm was nicely crafted as well Daniel then proceeded to speak Daniel:"see it is useful you can use it to make weapons and currency" the kobolds had become extremely interested Daniel made a few dozen more for the other warriors and he even made a bronze sword for soran to replace the rusty iron one.
After bringing the new weapons to the soldiers he started teaching them basic group formations that adatheon created inside of his head he taught them the spartan shield wall and the spear formation meanwhile an horde of imps and greater imps that were named by dread's lesser demons were approaching the Valley pass the kobold guards mens station on the Canyon Ridge looked down four out of the five sent their lowest ranking member back to report or they tried to hold off the line just for a little bit originally this would've been a suicide attempt but since they were greater kobolds thing else did a chance the greater imps Might provide a challenge but they'll come to that road when it does.
The 4 greater kobolds slid down the ridge holding their bronze spears and still crude wooden shields they had no protective armor once so ever only the cloth on they're gentials immediately the four-man squad immediately ran in as two imps jumped forward two greater kobolds Swung their Spear pools slapping both of them in the face before immediately turning to Speir Pola round/slashing the imps Across the chest as their tails swung forward slapping the imps again sending them back into the crowd but the lesser demon Manage to take one of the dead soldiers souls but the other imps managed to devour their other dead comrade gaining increase in magicules.
the four brother in arms looked at each other before using their magicules to activate physical enhancement as they charged into the rushing hoard of imps as started slashing as an imp Rushed forward the greater kobold raised his shield blocking the imp slashing attempt with its nails before pulling back slightly and jumping forward doing the shield bash/thrust Event immediately pulled his shield away and thrusting his spear forward impaling the imp.
Meanwhile inside the village the scout made it to the gate but the two guards stopped him kobold guard:"wait State your rank and your reason for entering" The scout immediately started sweating bullets as he hurried up and explained everything that they needed to know kobold scout:"my rank:scavenger my occupation scout/lookout the imps have returned for a second attack my superiors are currently holding them off I need to win the master and the chief" The two guards looked at each other with absolute seriousness immediately they let him pass as they went to go join helping their brother and hold the line just for a little bit longer.
As the scout went in the two gate guards immediately rushed forward meanwhile back at the front line at least 12 imp bodies had stacked up suddenly 3 of four greater kobolds had been thrown back as they slid across the rocky ground The remaining ones standing looked back concerned for his comrades suddenly his senses went wild he turned around and raised his shield as a red fist slammed into the shield shot of you to pieces managing to reach his elbow he slid back as his arm was slightly numb.
The small line of greater imps towered above them is the four-man squad fell to their knees or were laid out on the ground they laughed at their opponents suddenly The leader of this mighty group named blitz gave a rallying speech.
blitz:"my men you may lose your morale in your faith but remember what we are fighting for our ancestors have survived worse than this not only that fighting for the next generation this place isn't our home it's a nursery for the next generation of kobolds like even if we die our sacrifice may pave the way for a better future so we may be remembered by our ancestors and our kin was honorable warriors who fell in battle for a greater cause that is what it means be a warrior that is what it means to be prideful to stand in the face of absolute defeat and say no I rebuke fear and I stand tall".
This Rallying speech moved The hearts of blitz men as they rose to their feet picking up their weapons they may be now defenseless without their shield but I didn't mean anything if what they were fighting for was better than their lives as both blitz's team and the greater imps ran forward suddenly a spear came flying from the sky impaling an greater Imp in the heart confused blitz and his men looked behind them to see the gate guards had come as reinforcements their numbers had gone from 4 to 7 as The shield wielders the gate guards went in front and blitz and his men went behind the gate guards they were going to be the stabbing force.
More imps had been turning into greater imps by eating the corpses of their comrades as the other greater imps ran in and increased their strength with magicules As the two of them punched both shields the guards eyes widen slightly Deshields were about to break but suddenly they're gay as hard and as the wooden shield started to splinter they immediately pushed their arms up causing both the greater imps to widen their eyes just as the wooden shields completely shattered into splinters blitz and his men Thrusted their spears forward with all of their Mike using physical enhancement they clearly pierced the greater imps bodies as they fell limply to the ground.
There was now a new problem all seven of them were shieldless and thanks to eating their comrades their was now 12 greater imps call seven greater kobolds raised their Spears as they charged forward meanwhile at back inside the village Daniel was about to start learning how to use wyvern summoning art suddenly the scout collapsed in front of soran Who is practicing his sword skills soran turn towards his subordinate and looked puzzled.
Soran:"what's the matter why are you such a hurry?" The Scout out of breath explained what was going on kobold:"sir the imps have turned and some of them have evolved both my superiors and gay cards are holding them off I don't know how long they can last we need to assemble the army immediately" soran look up the 6 winged kobolds behind him they were his guards they didn't even need him to say anything as they spread their wings and shot off into the air to help hold the line soran ran over and started roaring which was the alarm sound immediately multiple kobold warriors both greater and winged alike picked up their weapons and immediately went to go defend the valley soran caught a small group of greater kobolds I told him to take the women in the hatchlings to the mines and defend it they nodded and went to go do their task soran ran up to Daniel who is currently confused on why there was such commotion.
After soran explained what was happening Daniel immediately ran towards the gate and Soren ran towards the gate at high speeds because he was completely physically enhanced it was always active so he was permanently enhanced in all physical aspects meanwhile back on the battlefield the original seven we're holding their ground hard but they were being heavily pushed back the more imps they killed The more the others devoured and eventually became greater imps.
As they were on their last legs they got prepared to hold out till death send me a blue blast of energy slammed into a random spot in the imp army of 150 strong it was originally 190 strong The blast of vaporized a lot of imps the guards and blitz troops looked up even the imps soran Royal guard were in the air suddenly all six of them started charging up magic bullets as they threw them into the crowd exploding randomly in different places vaporizing more imps because their bodies were being destroyed no imps could eat there fallen comrades and become greater imps.
But that didn't leave the greater imps without a way to fight back One of them picked up another imp As they realized their arm back and threw them into the air the imp made an attempt to grab one of the winged kobolds straight out of the air but the winged kobold So one of your shield wielding arm slapping the imp away and using fire breath the imp but because imp have higher resistance even though it's weak The death was an immediate as the greater imps started throwing more and more of their regular counterparts the winged kobolds had to switch to their melee weapons slashing down their projectile opponents meanwhile back on the ground because there was no two fronts to focus on it was easier for the ground team to pick off the ones Who weren't paying attention suddenly a volley of spears blocked out the sun.
As many imps Were impaled and some greater imps as well The small group of 13 turned around and saw the entire army of their brothers rushing forward meeting whatever remainder of the charging waves of imps head on an greater Imp I just finished eating two of its comrades and became a lesser demon it was easily fighting through the greater kobolds suddenly everyone heard shouting it was soran he ran forward jumped high into the air unsheathed his great sword and pointing it down as he slammed into the crowd of imps he impaled an imp as his weapon thrusting deep into the ground he roared sending magicule through the ground creating a magicule piller he then Removed his sword from the ground and swing it with a men's force creating an air slash that cut a lot of imps in half.
Soran suddenly blocked as the newly evolved lesser demon had a large jackhammer using it to manifested demonic weapon a demon trident two of them immediately started sword fighting in the middle of the imp horde causing imp lateral which the lesser demon proceeded to use their souls in order to power both his body and attacks during a fatal input the lesser demon slashed Soran across the chest leaving a deep wound but Soren smiled as he ran forward converting magicules into healing energy he used his regeneration although it was weak it was just enough to turn the bleeding wound into a scar Stead of slashing the lesser demon soran Punched in the face ran forward going for diagonal rising slash The lesser demon barely blocked only to get knee'd in the stomach and grabbed by the face and thrown into the ground.
When soran Went to impale his fault the lesser demon flash stepped behind him and knocked him aside with the blunt side of their trident meanwhile Daniel had just climbed over the ridge and was watching the fighting he was analyzing who was winning with the help of his ultimate skill adatheon the kobolds we're doing good but he noticed something there was a lesser demon in the mix he wondered what was happening until adatheon started blaring danger signals in his mind confused his danger sense went off because the two original lesser demons had summoned in their demonic weapons and we're about to strike him from behind.
but he jumped backwards causing both of their attacks to slam until the rocky ground they turned around with serious gaze,s as Daniel roared he jumped into the air used his perception skill seeing a few seconds into the future suddenly one of the lesser demons boosted forward with their wings out ready to slash him but for some reason their opponent turned The air slapping the lesser demons back into the ground with their tail before doing a front flip and intertwining their Front for limbs together in a hammer strike ready to crush the lesser demon but the other lesser demon teleported in front of his comrade grab his camera by the lake and teleported away as Daniel hammer strike slammed into the ground it's splinter apart not only spreading dust but causing a minor earthquake and pieces of the Canyon Ridge to fall off.
As Daniel turned around he used his skill wyvern aura suddenly the fear factor spread through both the lesser demons immediately taking advantage Daniel lunged forward activating outrage sending him into a beyond believable fury as he lunged forward normally if he didn't have adatheon he would've crashed into them but instead thanks to his ultimate skill he how to control over simple movements as he made a turn mid charge using his tail to slam into their sides sending them flying into boulder they looked at each other and started chanting as dark magicules gathered around them they suddenly stopped as the imps started to retreat they didn't care they have completed their objective anyway immediately they teleported away as the remaining 54 imps and The remaining six greater imps retreated leaving their comrades corpses behind.
Daniel and his subordinates were seriously confused soran was about to get a fatal slash on his opponent until they flash stepped away confused and slightly angry at his opponent cowardice it made Daniel even more confused lesser demons don't usually retreat but then it brought up on the bigger question Who summoned the lesser demons to the mortal world mostly found a demon gate in the demon world they couldn't have possibly got out on their own same for the Imps as well yeah they were cracks in the demon world That allowed them to come in to the mortal world but there wouldn't be hundreds of them at most two or three but hundreds no this is the work of somebody it was bugging him what idiot with summon demons other than crazy cultists or someone looking for a powerful subordinate either way it was foolish demons respect power and if you weren't strong enough they'll straight up take your soul so it was really going on in this forest he would have to find out eventually.
Right now is the time for celebration they had been back there opponents so hopefully they could rest easy for now he could teach the kobolds more things like setting up traps and bushes then he would have to find steeds for the greater kobolds since they couldn't fly Which would not only give them an advantage in the future battles but it will also help them traverse and explore easier Daniel soon realized if he and his subordinates wanted to survive they needed to establish themselves as a somewhat powerful civilization or become a fully fledged recognized nation honestly the first of the 2 Sounded Way easier but life doesn't reward those who take the easy path.
Meanwhile back at the grand cave the three Demons and 50 imps returned dread didn't even turn around to look at them it didn't matter he still spoke to them dread:"did you get 100 souls" The strongest of the lesser demons answered lesser demon:"yes and a little bit extra although not the way you intended the kobolds we're stronger they somehow involved the information you gave us was false I don't need that it appears either that they had teamed a waiver or the wyvern was the one that gave him the name but we still did get the souls and 40 extra" dread made it devilish smile.
Dread:"good now hand them over so I can evolve into an arch demon and as promised I will give all three of you names and you may become my subordinates" The lesser demons as told and handed over all the souls as Power coursed through dreads body he was enveloped in dark and overly dense magicules when they dispersed he emerged as an arch ice demon A rare mutation among demons it was rare for demons to evolve combined with a specific element dread as promised gifted names to all three of his new subordinates.
Author: hey guys just a couple of questions I wanted to know did I give him an ultimate skill too early and is it too overpowered like I mean yeah it's gonna become stupidly overpowered later but I just want your opinion and did I make his evolution too strongCause I don't wanna overly overpowered story I want it so we can still be beaten just by clayman level threats which to be fair he's probably there already but aside from that what I really wanted to ask you was.
Do you like the in-depth battles like seeing side or minor characters hold the line against the main threat of the chapter because if you do I can keep doing that but if you don't I'll just skip through it that's all
