School ended with the familiar ring of the bell. Adrian stretched his arms above his head as he rose from his seat, letting out a satisfied sigh.
He turned to Yukiko and exchanged a few light words with her. With a casual wave, he said goodbye and headed toward the school entrance.
But before he could step outside, his phone buzzed. It was a message from Chiaki.
Chiaki: Hey, can you come to Class 2-B, Room 305 right now? It's urgent.
Adrian raised an eyebrow but didn't hesitate. He turned around and hurried through the hallway toward the second-year classrooms.
As he approached Room 305, he could already hear raised voices from inside. Chiaki's sharp tone mixed with a guy's desperate, angry shouting. Adrian slowed down and listened for a moment before pushing the door open.
Chiaki stood near the teacher's desk with an irritated expression and crossed arms. In front of her was a tall athletic looking guy. He's wearing a desperate and furious expression on his face.
The moment Adrian stepped in, both of them turned toward him.
Chiaki's face instantly lit up with relief. Without hesitation, she walked straight over to Adrian and grabbed his arm possessively, pulling him close to her side.
"See, Daichi?" she said firmly. "This is the guy I told you about. We're together now. So Stop. Bothering. Me! Got it?!"
Daichi Oshima stared at Adrian with a mix of confusion and hostility. His face twisted with disbelief.
"Who the hell is this guy?!" Daichi snapped, voice rising. "You're seriously telling me you broke up with me yesterday just because of this random transfer student? Don't make me laugh! You're obviously lying!"
Adrian quickly caught on to the situation. Without missing a beat, he calmly slid his arm around Chiaki's waist and pulled her closer to his side, his hand resting possessively on her hip.
"You heard her," he said evenly, looking straight at Daichi. "Your relationship's over. You should move on."
Daichi's face twisted with rage, his fists clenching tightly at his sides.
"Who the fuck do you think you are?!" he snarled. "Don't act so cocky just because you're new here!"
Tension filled the classroom. A few students who hadn't left yet were watching with wide eyes.
"Tch! This is complete bullshit, Chiaki!" Daichi shouted, his voice cracking.
"You're just saying this shit to fuck with me! I was just busy with soccer… That's all! There's no way you'd throw me away for some transfer student!"
Seeing how loud and pathetic he was getting, Adrian decided to push things further. He gently tilted Chiaki's chin up with his fingers, leaned down, and captured her lips in a bold, possessive kiss.
Chiaki stiffened for half a second before melting into the kiss. Adrian's tongue pushed past her soft lips, sliding in to tangle with hers in a deep, heated dance. Their tongues swirled and stroked each other passionately, wet sounds mixing with their heavy breathing.
Adrian tilted his head slightly to deepen the kiss, sucking on her tongue while his hand remained firm on her waist, pulling her soft body against him.
When they finally parted, a thin, glistening string of saliva stretched between their tongues before slowly breaking.
Chiaki's face turned bright red. She lightly punched his chest, her movements soft and embarrassed. "You bastard… why did you do that here?!" she muttered, hiding her burning face against his chest.
Daichi went still, shock flashing across his face before it twisted into rage. "You fucking asshole!!"
He threw a punch toward Adrian's face.
Adrian calmly leaned back, easily dodging the sloppy swing and then countered, driving a sharp, brutal punch deep into Daichi's solar plexus. The strike sank in and knocked the breath out from him.
*Thud!*
"Ugh–!!" Daichi's eyes went wide as he collapsed to his knees. He clutched his stomach before vomiting violently onto the classroom floor.
A wave of shocked gasps, shrieks, and murmurs rippled through the room.
Adrian looked down at him coldly. "If you can't handle violence, why resort to it in the first place?"
Still holding Chiaki by the waist, Adrian turned to leave. Behind him, Daichi, still on the floor and gasping for air, called out hoarsely.
"You'll pay for this, bastard! I-I'm a star player on the soccer team! The coach and the whole team will– Blegh–!" He hurled again before he could finish his threat.
Adrian quickly lost interest and walked out of the classroom with Chiaki still by his side.
The moment they left, the classroom erupted into chaos as students rushed to help the vomiting Daichi.
Once they were a safe distance away in the hallway, Chiaki let out a long sigh of relief, though her cheeks were still flushed red.
"Thank you for coming so quickly," she said, still holding onto his arm. "That idiot just wouldn't accept the breakup. I needed someone to show up in person so he'd finally get it."
She looked a bit worried. "Still… I know you're pretty popular but he's a star player on the soccer team and has a lot of guys backing him up. You might get in trouble later because of me."
Adrian just smiled. "It's fine. I can handle it."
They continued walking, the heavy tension from the classroom gradually fading away. Their conversation grew lighter, turning playful and flirtatious as they chat more freely.
After a while, Chiaki glanced at him and asked, "Do you have time right now? Want to hang out for a bit?"
Adrian shook his head. "Sorry, I have to walk Natsuha home."
Chiaki blinked, then let out a small laugh. "Natsuha? And who exactly is this Natsuha? Don't tell me you're already playing around with another girl behind our backs?"
Adrian chuckled, amused by her directness. "She's a friend. I've been walking her home for a while now."
Chiaki narrowed her eyes playfully, though there was a clear spark of curiosity and a hint of competitiveness in her gaze. She stepped closer and lightly poked his chest with her finger.
"A friend, huh?" She tilted her head, smirking. "Be honest. Is she just a friend… or are you simply collecting cute girls one by one?"
Adrian gave her a relaxed smile, refusing to get flustered. "She's been through some stuff recently. I'm just making sure she gets home safely."
Chiaki hummed, clearly not fully convinced, but the teasing smile on her lips grew wider. She suddenly linked her arm with his, deliberately pressing her soft breast against his bicep.
"Well then… since you're so dedicated to being a gentleman," she said sweetly.
"I'll come with you. I want to see this Natsuha for myself. I need to know what kind of girl is good enough to make you walk her home every day."
Adrian raised an eyebrow. "You sure? It might get awkward."
Chiaki grinned, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Awkward is fun. Besides, if she's boring, I need to see why you're wasting your time with her when you already have us."
She gave his arm a light tug, clearly excited by the idea.
"Lead the way then, Mr. Popular. Let's go meet your precious Natsuha."
