Chapter 5 - Part 5: A Simple Morning

The night passed…

But not quietly for Stephan.

His mind kept going back to the same thing.

Pixel.

Not what she did—

but how she did it.

The next morning—

Stevan was already awake.

"Bhai…"

Stephan looked at him.

"Call her for breakfast."

Stephan frowned slightly.

"What?"

"Pixel."

There was a small pause.

"She'll come if you ask."

Stephan didn't reply immediately.

But a few minutes later—

he was already outside.

He found her near the corridor.

"Stevan wants you to join us for breakfast."

Pixel looked at him.

Just for a second.

"Okay."

Then she added—

"I'll call Ketty."

Stephan paused slightly…

but didn't say anything.

After a few minutes—

Pixel came back with Ketty.

By the time they reached—

Stevan looked happy.

"You came!"

They sat down.

Pixel chose the seat beside Stevan.

And naturally—

Ketty ended up sitting next to Stephan.

Breakfast started simply.

Stevan kept talking.

Pixel listened, replying calmly.

Ketty tried to talk to Stephan.

"So… you're okay now?"

"Yeah," Stephan replied shortly.

She tried again.

But his attention wasn't fully there.

It kept shifting…

to Pixel.

She was sitting with Stevan.Talking normally.Smiling slightly.

As if nothing else mattered.

And somehow—

that made him notice her more.

After a while—

Stevan got busy with something.

Ketty stood up to help him.

Now—

only Stephan and Pixel were left at the table.

A small silence.

Pixel looked at him.

"Can I say something?"

Stephan nodded slightly.

"Ketty likes you."

Direct.

Calm.

"She really does."

Stephan didn't respond immediately.

Pixel continued—

"You should give her a chance."

There was a pause.

"And why do you think that?"

Pixel looked at him.

"Because she means it."

No emotion.No hesitation.

Just a simple answer.

Something about that…

didn't sit right with him.

Before he could say anything—

Ketty came back.

The moment ended there.

But his thoughts didn't.

Because for the first time—

he didn't like the ideaof being with someone else…

when she was sitting right there.
