Chapter 21 - Part 21:The Way He Didn’t Wait

Because sometimes—

the problem isn't what you feel…

it's realizingyou've started feeling something at all.

The next morning came quieter than usual.

Not because the place had changed—

but because something between them had.

Pixel stepped out of her room slowly, adjusting her sleeve as she walked towards the common area.

Ketty was already there, sitting on a chair, scrolling through her phone.

"You're late," Ketty said without looking up.

"I'm not," Pixel replied calmly.

Ketty glanced at her.

"You are."

Pixel didn't argue.

She just sat down beside her.

But before the conversation could continue—

someone else arrived.

Daniel.

"Good morning," he said, his tone easy.

"Morning," Pixel replied.

Ketty gave a small smile.

Daniel didn't sit immediately this time.

Instead, he looked at Pixel for a second—

as if deciding something.

Then—

"Walk with me?"

The question was simple.

Direct.

No distraction.

No excuse.

Pixel looked at him.

A small pause.

Not because she didn't understand—

but because she did.

Ketty noticed it instantly.

And quietly looked away.

Giving space.

Pixel stood up.

"Okay."

Just like that.

No hesitation.

No explanation.

🚶‍♀️ Walking Together

The path was calm.

Not crowded yet.

Just the sound of footsteps and distant voices.

Daniel walked beside her—

not too close,

not too far.

"You've been avoiding me," he said casually.

Pixel glanced at him.

"I haven't."

Daniel smiled slightly.

"You have."

A small pause.

Pixel looked ahead.

"You notice too much."

Daniel chuckled softly.

"I always did."

That line carried history.

And she felt it.

Even if she didn't show it.

🧊 Daniel Gets Clear

He stopped walking.

Pixel slowed down too.

Then he said—

"I like you."

No build-up.

No hesitation.

Just… clear.

Pixel looked at him.

No shock.

No dramatic reaction.

Just quiet understanding.

"You already know that," he added.

Pixel didn't deny it.

Because she did.

🧠 Pixel's Response

"I don't think like that."

Her voice was calm.

Steady.

Honest.

Daniel nodded slightly.

"I know."

A small pause.

"I'm not asking you to."

That made her look at him again.

Then he added—

"Just don't ignore it."

Silence followed.

Because that was different.

Not pressure.

But not distance either.

👀 Meanwhile — Stephan

From a distance—

Stephan saw them.

Walking.

Talking.

Then stopping.

Something about that—

didn't sit right.

Johan leaned beside him.

Johan: That doesn't look casual.

Stephan didn't reply.

His eyes stayed there.

Focused.

Sharp.

Hill added quietly—

Hill: He's not waiting anymore.

That line stayed.

Because Stephan already knew it.

⚡ Back to Them

Daniel stepped back slightly.

"Think about it."

Simple.

Then he started walking again—

as if nothing had happened.

Pixel followed.

But her steps weren't the same now.

🧠 Stephan's Reaction

So this is what he's doing now…

The thought wasn't angry.

Not loud.

But clear.

And for the first time—

Stephan felt something different.

Not just jealousy.

Pressure.

Because now—

this wasn't slow anymore.

🌅 Back to the Group

They returned.

Ketty looked at Pixel immediately.

"What did he say?"

Pixel sat down.

"Nothing new."

Ketty raised an eyebrow.

"That's not an answer."

Pixel looked at her.

"It's enough."

Ketty didn't push further.

But she understood—

something had changed.

👀 Final Moment

Stephan walked closer this time.

Not stopping at a distance.

Not watching from far.

He stood near her.

And for a moment—

their eyes met.

Pixel looked at him.

Just for a second.

Then looked away.

Like always.

But this time—

it wasn't the same.

Because now—

there was something behind it.

Because when one person starts moving forward…

the other onecan't stay where they are anymore.
