Though Cain and Tara had fixed their misunderstanding, they still slept in different rooms. Surprisingly, they had wanted to book an extra room, but none were available, so Cain had no choice but to stay with Jade in his room.
It was the next day—the day the group had planned to spend relaxing before leaving in the evening. However, because of the previous events, they decided to leave right after breakfast instead.
In Tara's room, she was still asleep when she heard a gentle knock on her door. She shifted slightly on the bed because of the sound but did not wake up completely. When the knock came a second time, her eyes finally fluttered open. Even then, she did not immediately get out of bed.
She stared at the cream-white ceiling above her before closing her eyes with a sigh. Slowly, she tried to lift herself from the bed, but the moment she moved, a sharp pain shot through her head, causing her to hiss.
