The building exploded, sending him flying out of the building, through a window, and crashing into another building.
"What the hell?" he said as he tried to get up.
"Spider-Man," Human Torch announced as he appeared floating in front of him, emitting more heat than usual.
Even the metal bars protruding from the wall had begun to melt from being in constant contact with his flames. He quickly came to the conclusion that Johnny was using his supernova form, and not only that, he also understood that this had something to do with Richards in some way.
"Today you will answer for your crimes!"
"Kiss my perfect ass," Spider-Man said as he punched him in the face, only to get burned on contact.
Human Torch grabbed him and held him by the waist, then pushed him through several walls, burning his torso as he held him.
He groaned in pain as his back was forced to take the impact against constant walls, each impact more painful than the previous one.
"AHHH!" he screamed when Human Torch crashed him into a restaurant and accidentally impaled him on a metal bar.
"No! I did not mean to hurt him!" Human Torch went flying when he hit him in the face without any restraint of his strength.
"Damn it!" he cursed as he looked at the bar sticking out of his abdomen.
People in the restaurant stared at him in horror.
When he used his stinger to cut the bar and get out, putting the stinger away, he landed on his knees with a piece of metal bar embedded in his body.
"Spider-Man! Oh my God! Are you-...." A man tried to help him, but he just grimaced and raised his hand as he stood up again.
"I am fine!" he said as he grabbed the bar and pulled it out. The man's face went pale as blood started to flow from the wound.
"N.... You need help-...."
"N-No! I have this!" He shook his head, showing how the wound was beginning to heal. The bad thing was that it would leave a scar.
Quickly, to avoid more bloodshed, he used webbing to cover the wound.
"You all need to leave! This place is not se-...." His senses warned him of the danger, so he pushed the man back just before the ceiling collapsed on him.
"Come with me! I do not want to hurt you anymore!" Human Torch exclaimed as he moved away from the rubble.
The people in the restaurant could not believe what was happening in front of them.
"Idiot! You are hurting people!" he growled as he cleared some debris and shot toward him, firing his stingers, dodging a blow from Human Torch, stabbing him in the arm and then punching him in the face, throwing him out of the restaurant.
"Everyone must leave now! Now!"
This seemed to be enough to snap people out of their shock and send them running out of the restaurant.
Activating his bioelectricity, he focused it in his fist and increased the power as much as he could, while he watched as Human Torch began to approach him.
"Rot in hell!" he said, punching Human Torch in the face and creating a sonic boom which sent him crashing into a truck.
"Spidey! Are you okay?" Wade asked when he, along with Wolverine and Daredevil, arrived on the scene.
"Yeah, just a little-...."
"That is enough, Spider-Man!" His head shot toward the voice and what he saw made his blood run cold.
"Spider-Man! Reed! He took Yu-...." Trish looked badly injured as she emerged from the ground along with other officers who were heading straight for him before their eyes also fixed on the rooftop.
"Come with me and Yuri will be safe, I promise," Richards said with a disguised smile while holding an injured Yuri with his disgusting hands on the rooftop.
"Richards! You cowardly son of a bitch!"
"Shut up, Spider-Man! You have said and done enough! It is time you paid for your crimes! You cannot kill in my city!"
"Are you retarded, Richards?!" Wolverine said while pointing at him.
"You are a murderer too, Wolverine! It is only because of Professor Xavier that I am letting you go! You had better stay out of this, you animal!"
"You son of a bitch, you bastard, get down and fight!" Wade growled angrily, then pulled out his gun and pointed it at him, but Spider-Man grabbed his hand.
"What are you doing-...."
"He wants me. I will go," he shook his head while gritting his teeth.
"You cannot speak in-...."
"That bastard has gone crazy! He will hurt Yuri! And I promised I would not let him hurt her!" Spider-Man said as Richards smiled.
'Everything according to plan,' Richards reflected to himself while looking at Yuri. 'I did not want to resort to this, but Spider-Man is too powerful to be controlled or subdued. Once I defeat him, it will not be so difficult to increase my reputation.'
"Let Yuri go! Now!"
"Of course. Johnny, handcuff him," Richards proclaimed as a deactivated Human Torch landed behind him and forced him to his knees.
"That last punch hurt like garbage," Johnny said as he punched him in the cheek.
Still holding his fist to his cheek, Spider-Man moved his head so that two red dots appeared on his mask, causing Johnny to tremble with fear and quickly handcuff him.
"No, no, no," Yuri whispered, along with a gasp of pain as she looked at him.
"New York City!" Richards said loudly and victoriously.
"Spider-Man, as you have all probably suspected, is a cold-blooded killer who murders people under a veil of heroism.
So, I, Reed Richards, will see to it that he never commits another crime. And today I will unmask this serial killer before your very eyes."
"Let us see who is behind the mask," Johnny said.
That idiot grabbed his mask. If he had not told Cortana to disable protection level 1, Johnny would be getting a massive electric shock right now.
'I lost,' he said to himself while looking at Yuri's tearful face and smiling to himself. 'At least I managed to protect her.'
His spider-sense went off like a fire alarm and he saw time slow down. His eyes opened wide when he saw something moving behind Richards.
