Connors was taken aback for a moment upon hearing this. Looking around, he finally saw clearly that the equipment in this laboratory was extraordinarily complete!

Moreover, these devices were not inferior to the ones he used at Osborn Enterprises; they were all top-of-the-line products from various biotech companies on the market!

Is the salary at Fisk Enterprises really this high?

If he had known, he would have applied to Fisk Enterprises as well!

He estimated that buying even one piece of the top-tier research equipment here would force him to declare bankruptcy!

This was also why he had always chosen to stay at Osborn Enterprises: because they had the best and most complete top-tier biological research equipment in the World for him to use for free!

Yet Ryan's lab was not at all inferior to his lab at Osborn Enterprises.

If he continued his research here, he might actually be able to perfect the lizard regeneration potion!

Dr. Connors was not stupid. After seeing how complete Ryan's equipment was, he knew that Ryan had a clear purpose in bringing him here.

Therefore, he hesitated for a moment, looked at Ryan, and asked, "So you want me to work for you and help you perfect the lizard regeneration serum?"

This was indeed his goal, so Ryan admitted it generously:

"Exactly. I've had my eye on the regenerative effects of the lizard regeneration serum for a long time. It has great value whether for personal use or commercial use, so I hope you will help me perfect it."

"In return, I will resolve the trouble you've caused, including the lives of several Police officers on your record, and I'll retrieve the research results held by Osborn Enterprises over the years, including the ownership of the lizard regeneration serum."

"Of course, you can take back the other research results, but the ownership of the lizard regeneration serum must belong to me; you will only have the right to use it."

Dr. Connors fell silent for a long while before finally nodding. "Alright, I promise you..."

It wasn't that Dr. Connors was truly willing to give his lizard regeneration serum results to Ryan, but rather that he was truly out of options.

Now that he had failed to deliver the lizard regeneration serum to Norman Osborn on time, he certainly couldn't return to Osborn Enterprises. Furthermore, he had killed several Police officers after turning into the Lizard Man; even if he could go back, he would likely be arrested immediately.

And as Ryan said, he didn't want to spend his life in prison; he still wanted to complete his lifelong dream of research.

Therefore, he actually only had one path: to agree to Ryan... Seeing Dr. Connors nod, Ryan showed a satisfied smile:

"A wise choice, Dr."

"However, I need to go out for a while. Before I return, Dr., you should stay here to lie low for a while. Wait until I've settled the storm before going out, to avoid unnecessary trouble."

"This underground lab has a complete ecosystem and a lounge. The floor above and below is an underground gym; you can use it as you please."

"I will also have Peter come here after school every day to be your assistant. Just tell him whatever you need."

Dr. Connors nodded silently, indicating he had no objection.

Seeing that Dr. Connors was not in high spirits and looked a bit exhausted, Ryan didn't say anything more.

After taking Dr. Connors to record his access permissions for the lab, he left the underground laboratory.

Well, it's 9 o'clock, time to sleep again.

At 6 AM, Ryan woke up on time.

May wasn't up yet, so Ryan's taste buds could rest. He made himself a simple and delicious breakfast.

Half an hour later, Kingpin's subordinates knocked on the door and gave Ryan his passport and plane ticket.

The flight was in half an hour, so Ryan grabbed his luggage and set off immediately.

On the way, he sent a text to Peter, asking him to assist Dr. Connors with his research while he was away.

Then came the long flight and layover time.

Setting out in the morning, he finally landed in Afghanistan late at night.

Kingpin's network was indeed strong enough; he even had connections in Afghanistan. Someone was already waiting for him at the airport.

They handed him a brand-new Jeep they had prepared.

The Jeep was thoughtfully stocked with dry rations, water, thick blankets, windbreakers, and other essentials.

It had to be said, if one wasn't Kingpin's enemy but his friend, the man was quite reliable.

Time was tight. Every minute delayed was another minute of risk that Tony, worth fifty million, might be killed.

So after Ryan got into the Jeep, he set off immediately.

As for how to find the specific location where Tony was being held, it might be a massive problem for those useless U.S. Military personnel who lost him.

So difficult that they hadn't found Tony after searching for over two months. Truly complete failures!

But for Ryan, it was very simple.

Because he had the advantage of foresight!

Although the movie didn't directly tell you the coordinates of the cave where Tony was held, it explicitly told you the name of the gang that kidnapped him.

The Ten Rings Gang!

So things became simple: just find someone to ask where the Ten Rings Gang's headquarters is...

One day later.

Ryan had already moved far away from the Afghan airport and arrived in the Kunar Region where Tony went missing.

This was a rather chaotic area.

Nearby were not only Afghan Military Bases but also U.S. Military Bases and various terrorist Bases.

Among them was the Ten Rings Gang Base that kidnapped Tony.

Ryan's method of asking for directions was also simple: driving his car around the terrorist-ridden areas known as forbidden zones.

Unsurprisingly, being so arrogant, Ryan was soon targeted by a group of Terrorists.

Two dilapidated Jeeps mounted with machine guns, looking very much like something out of Mad Max, blocked Ryan's path from the front and back.

Ryan obediently turned off the engine and parked, getting out of the car with his hands raised in a practiced manner.

Seeing him being so cooperative, the Terrorists in the two Jeeps relaxed their guard, not even manning the roof-mounted machine guns.

Aside from the drivers, the others just grabbed a few old AKs and walked toward Ryan.

The leader, a man with a white turban and a large beard, sized Ryan up and then cast a greedy glance at the expensive new Jeep behind him:

"American?"

Hearing this, Ryan raised an eyebrow.

He didn't expect his luck to be so good that the first person he met to ask for directions spoke a language he understood.

So Ryan nodded and gave the bearded man a smile:

"That's right. Can we go over to your car to talk? Because I don't want to get my car dirty later."

Ryan didn't want blood on his car later, nor did he want it to be accidentally damaged.

The bearded leader also smiled and nodded. "Oh, friend, of course. I don't want to get 'my car' dirty either."

The bearded man also didn't want the new car he was about to steal to be stained with blood or accidentally damaged.

So, despite their different motives, they actually reached a startling consensus on protecting Ryan's vehicle!
