"Arrrggh"
Xavier's eyes fluttered open, groggily bring his left arm up to cover his face as blinding sunlight assaulted his left side.
Xavier's chest felt tight and he was sore all over, he even felt his world spin a bit. Even worse he felt like someone stabbed him in torso, It was like he had woken up from a hangover.
Of course he had never drunk alcohol before.
He was a minor.
'But god, do I wish this was just a hangover'
'My body is in so much pain'
he groaned internally and in pain as he shifted his body to the right, trying to avoid the sunlight from the window.
'Whose inconsiderate ass opened the windows any-'
"I opened the windows for a reason you know."
Xavier was just about to get some more sleep too.
"You already had your sleep. Open your eyes."
Xavier obliged and opened his eyes, the first thing that greets him is a wide figure. A young teen, his chiseled face and sharp jaw was enough for him to get into an idol group without audition. The morning sunlight basked on his skin accentuating his glossy lips and sparkled red eyes. Even worse he wasn't afraid to flaunt it to Xavier's face. As he combed his hair, clearly a jab in Xavier's face.
'Why does he get to have the good genetics.'
Xavier cried internally. He touched his face, a little insecurely.
The teen face shifted seriously, an expression that would make any girl swoon. Any isn't an exaggeration.
'Look the old lady on the other bed wants you.'
"Xavier, I found you out the floor, looking with a spilt pill bottle, bleeding out. Care to explain what happened?"
"Did the doctors not tell you?"
Xavier asked confused, he was expecting grave news or to be berated, not questions.
"Your emergency contact is your dad, they told him most of the details."
"Did he pick up?"
"No."
"Figures."
Xavier's father could care more about taking a shit than his own son's life, but if "that man" didn't pick up the call, who else would they call?
'Dim doesn't have a phone'
"Did they call a secondary contact?"
"I'm not sure, they pushed you out of the room and I wasn't allowed to follow."
"Is that so?"
'Hmm…'
Xavier put two fingers on his chin, an inquisitive look on his face. Dim seeing this added helpfully.
"Look all the information I got was from the doctors that did the first diagnosis on you. Something about you ingesting poison?"
"What? Me? ingest poison? That was the relieving medicine for my Angina though?"
"Dude the first thing the doctor said to me after they looked touched your eye a bit was "Did you feed him poison?", you know I thought for a second you tried to commit suicide."
"What? Dim, why would I try to commit suicide!"
"I DON'T KNOW, WHY ELSE WOULD YOU TAKE A POISON PILL?"
Dim put his hands up defensively, startled by his friend's sudden switch of tone. At this point all the hospital residences were staring holes at them, clearly giving a silent 'shut up'. Except for that enamored old woman, Xavier didn't think she minded.
Dim stood up and picked up a tray of apples placing them on Xavier's hospital bed.
The old lady looked disappointed.
'Poor woman.'
"Anyways I sliced some apples and made coffee for you, I asked the doctors and they said you should be getting discharged today. So make sure you don't take anymore space here anymore.
"Gee, thanks mom. I always appreciate you being here for me!"
Dim smirked and rolled his eyes, he waved his hand in as gesture of goodbye and disappeared in a gust of wind, the hospital curtains lifted up in a quick burst and fell down just as slow.
'He probably left through the window'
'Now that's a reason he left it open.'
With Dim gone Xavier looked at his table side and grabbed the steaming warm coffee noting its temperature Xavier deducted it was made not too long ago, give 9 minutes. He took a sip then looked over to the apple slices.
His mouth watered, and quickly, Xavier munched down on two slices, enjoy its sweet, savory crisp.
'Now that I have something in my stomach, let's think.'
'Just why was there poison on my desk?'
