In the last chapter, Sai and Zixu gained a new companion.
Their team is finally starting to form…
But what dangers lie ahead… still remains unknown.
Jai flies high in the air, scanning the path ahead.
Below, Sai walks impatiently—
Sai: "Heeey Jai! See anything yet? You've been leading forever!"
He holds his stomach dramatically.
Sai: "Hurry up, man… I'm starving!"
Up in the air—
Jai (muttering): "At this rate… if he doesn't find food, he's going to eat me instead…"
After a while, a village comes into view.
But something feels wrong.
No people.
No animals.
Just… silence.
Sai (serious now): "This isn't normal… Looks like someone attacked this place."
He narrows his eyes.
Sai: "Bandits… maybe even a king's men… not sure. But we should check."
Zixu suddenly stops.
Zixu: "Wait… do you smell that?"
He sniffs the air.
Zixu: "Something strange… like a wild animal."
Sai sighs.
Sai: "Right now, all I can smell is my hunger…"
Zixu points ahead.
Zixu: "Someone's there… near the temple."
Sai: "I'll check."
Sai moves forward—
"Rock Gun!"
A loud impact echoes.
Strange Man (panicking): "Wait! Don't attack! It's me!"
Sai steps closer.
Sai: "Why are you hiding here? Come out."
The man hesitates… then speaks.
Villager: "It's not just me… the entire village is hiding here."
Sai (confused): "What? Why would everyone hide here?"
At that moment, a man steps forward.
Sheon: "I'm Sheon… the head of this village."
He looks uneasy.
Sheon: "Something strange happened today…"
He continues—
Sheon: "We heard a wolf's howl echo through the jungle…"
Sheon: "We stayed inside… but it entered the village."
Sheon: "It started sniffing rooftops… like it was searching for something."
Sai crosses his arms, thinking.
Sai: "If we calm it down… and deal with it—"
He looks straight at Sheon.
Sai: "Will you feed us?"
Sheon nods immediately.
Sheon: "Of course! You're our guests."
Sai grins—
and instantly runs off.
Zixu: "Hey! Why are you rushing to die?! Wait!"
Sai: "Just come!"
They move toward the headman's house.
Sai (looking around): "So this is where it stays… Looks like the headman's pretty rich."
He smirks.
Sai: "Probably looting the whole village."
Zixu (focused): "Look… it's awake."
He squints.
Zixu: "But it doesn't seem dangerous…"
Sai steps closer.
Sai: "Whoa… it's actually cute."
He tilts his head.
Sai: "Why is everyone scared of this?"
Suddenly, villagers rush in.
Villagers: "Don't touch it!"
Zixu: "Why? What's wrong with it?"
Villager: "Someone touched it once… and it disappeared!"
Sai narrows his eyes.
Sai: "It has a pendant… just like mine."
Zixu steps closer, analyzing.
Zixu: "Give me yours for a second."
He compares both pendants carefully.
Zixu (thinking): "Yeah… I was right."
He turns to everyone.
Zixu: "This pendant… teleports any nearby life energy when touched."
Villager: "Then why didn't it come back?"
Sai points upward.
Sai: "It did… it's been hanging upside down on that tree."
Everyone looks up—
and freezes.
Zixu: "That explains it…"
He relaxes.
Zixu: "Good. Now we can finally eat."
Sai grins.
Sai: "Wait… first, I'm naming it."
Suddenly—
Kay: "Hey… what's my name?"
Everyone goes silent.
Shock spreads across their faces.
Sai (excited): "Perfect! Then come with us!"
Kay: "No… I'm fine here."
Sai shrugs.
Sai: "Your loss. Let's go eat."
Sheon (awkward): "About that… we don't have much food."
Sai: "What?"
Sheon: "Just some fruits… apples and bananas."
Sai looks serious now.
Sai: "No way… I'm not leaving them like this."
Zixu pulls him aside.
Zixu: "Wait. Think."
He turns to the villagers.
Zixu: "Is there a temple nearby?"
Sheon: "Yes… the one we were hiding in."
Sai, Zixu, and Jai freeze.
All three: "You could've told us earlier?!"
Sheon: "You didn't ask."
A moment of silence…
Then—
Sai, Zixu & Jai: "Let's go."
Sai: "If it gets dark… Karma will awaken again."
Zixu: "Karma? What's that?"
Sai: "I don't know exactly… but it's dangerous."
They head toward the temple.
Sai: "So this is the place…"
Zixu: "Let's finish this."
Sai & Jai: "Let's go!"
Inside—
They keep walking…
and walking…
Zixu: "Don't you feel like we're going in circles?"
Sai: "Nah… probably just your imagination."
Suddenly—
Zixu falls into a pit.
Sai (looking down): "You okay?!"
Jai: "Of course he fell… I can fly."
Zixu (annoyed): "Are you two done talking, or will you help me?!"
Sai creates a rope-like structure using his powers and pulls him up.
Zixu: "Your power is amazing… just used by the wrong person."
Sai (smirking): "It's not that special."
Suddenly—
The ground trembles.
Something begins to emerge…
Karma.
Sai, Zixu & Jai: "RUN!!"
Kay appears suddenly.
Kay: "Wait… I'll handle this."
He attacks—
But Karma dodges instantly.
Kay collapses.
Sai: "Let me try!"
Rock Hammer!
The attack lands—
But does nothing.
Sai (shocked): "This one's stronger… the last one went down in one hit."
Zixu: "What was different?"
Sai: "The last one had something glass-like on its chest… I hit that."
Zixu observes carefully.
Zixu: "This one… has fire on its chest."
He turns to Sai.
Zixu: "Water might work."
Sai: "I can only form it… not attack with it."
Zixu: "Try anyway."
Sai runs toward water.
He focuses—
Sai: "Water Jet!"
A weak stream shoots out.
Zixu pauses… then smirks.
Zixu: "Dead."
At that moment—
Karma grabs its sword
and charges straight at Jai.
From inside the temple—
A scream echoes—
"Maaamiii! Help!!"
